Might also try Axl, Dizzy, I-No, Baiken, Testament, and Eddie. I don't really choose characters based on play style, I usually just choose the coolest high tier character lol According to the tier list thread ABA is bad though, it puts her at 4th worst is she usable or really bad?
magus704 Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 There's no truly terrible character in GG as the game's always been pretty well balanced. With that said, as a beginner there's a few characters I'd advise you to avoid when starting off: Bridget, I-No, Zappa, Chipp. I say these characters because they take a lot of dedication to start playing with and you're going to get bopped really hard if you start with them. So just avoid those four characters for now and you should be good to pick anyone else really as a starter character.

If you think ABA is cool, then go for it You'll get the most out of GG this way. And just like Steve said, GG is pretty balanced. You can win with any character if you know their matchups.

Thankfully, none of them are as godlike anymore, especially Slayer and May. Slayer already had a pretty difficult time against Venom and now they made the matchup borderline impossible because he's shit and Venom is SSS+++ tier.
