Since when is AH3 executionally difficult?

I can't think of another game that has an average execution requirement as high, that I practiced a lot. I mean, nothing really beats the top-end FRC combos in GG, but on the average that game's combos aren't as bad.

About setting up more tournaments at UAT:

The general consensus seems to be that Saturday works best for everyone, so I'm going to stick with that. Jimmy says he'll schedule the time to get the space at UAT, but we need to have a general plan for which days to go. I'd like the first event to be on June 7th. With that as our starting point, would you guys prefer to do bi-weekly ranbats (June 7th, June 21st, and July 5th), or would you prefer to try and have one every weekend (5 total, June 7th - July 5th)? It would definitely be nice to have a consistent weekly time and place to hang out and play (anything) offline, while still getting to be competitive to practice for evo. I'm just not sure people would want to be there EVERY week without breaks, especially those that may have transportation hurdles, like the Tucson guys.

I would like EVERYONE WHO IS INTERESTED to let me know what they would prefer to see. This isn't a serious thing. There's no money involved (unless you count my brownie costs or possible prizes). I just want to set something up that works for as many people as possible.

edit: Marvin says some of the Tucson guys are down to go Saturdays. His vote is for Bi-weekly, main concern being that there might not be much consistency, attendance-wise, if we did weekly. That's a main concern of mine too.

Driving up every Saturday would be difficult. Every other Saturday is preferable. I'd make every ranbat on an every-other-week schedule, but I would probably have to skip a few if it was every week.

Although if a weekly practice session is desirable, I don't see why you couldn't have weekly gatherings there and just run the ranbat every other gathering. Then the option is open for those who would still want to drive up for practice, but not required. Weekly stuff could probably still be arranged down here for the people who can only do every other weekend.

I'm interested, but I will out of town on June 21st, and also out of town for most of July, so the only one of those I could possibly make it to is the June 7th one.

I'm fine with weekly, but, again, my attendance is going to be spotty no matter what happens. I've got a busy summer lined up -- moving, traveling, and lots of work to do.

I can't host this week, but I can the weekend after PCC (3 weekends from now) if there's nothing else going on.

I wouldn't say Arcana's execution requirements are high, rather that unless you know the mechanics of movement i.e. homing, you aren't going to be getting combos. Once you get a feel for it, you can literally pick up any character and do a super basic bnb using homing (2ABC 6HC 5BC j.AB dj.BC super works for a lot of the cast)

Of course it isn't optimal, but we're talking average.

I wasn't talking about brain-dead Marvel-style BnBs, I'm talking about decent BnBs you're actually going to want to use. Why do you have to make this difficult Ted?

I'd be down for the bi-weekly just so that we can keep attendance up. I  know I need some practice before EVO, and the more people there are to practice with the better.

I think one of the issues with running the ranbat next weekend is that it's going to conflict with Phoenix Comicon. I don't know how many people that affects (I'm not going because I live a sad life), but I could see it being a problem.

As for hosting tonight... jesus fuck H-F's hunger for waifu violence is too real right now. Although if people want more than two setups, someone's going to need to bring another monitor.

That's Akane's actual BnB. That's very close to Petra's bnb. That's pretty much Lilica's bnb. It's close to Elsa's bnb.

What I think you mean is that Maori is difficult and you don't want to put in that much effort for Maori. (You did play Maori, right?) Maori's bnb is much harder, but you can always revert to BBC loop or just 623A Super for damage.

I'm done making things difficult. >.>

No, I didn't, but yeah just forget it.

Maybe I should bring Kevin along... though there's no guaranteed he'll actually agree and he comes in at around 7.

GGs last night and thanks for hosting. Kevin had a fun time too.

I will forever be free to Sion's overheads and Melty's dickfaced command interpreter.

GGs to everyone. It was fun to play against Kevin again. Probably won't get love max but I'll always be willing to casually consecrate bitches with Elsa-san.

GGs everyone. It was good to see Kevin again after so long. Carl can be pretty scary, haha.

Between F-Sion's three good overheads, a dashing command grab, strong normals, and good damage off of practically everything, I wonder where she is in the tier list. I don't think I've ever heard anyone say she's top, but she seems pretty good.

The thing with Sion's overheads is while she has three of them, they're all on the slow side. Same thing with F-Sion's dash grab. The bigger issue is that her range kind of sucks and her pressure isn't as airtight as the top tier characters. IIRC she's a solid A tier character, but C was the best version. You would want to bug Tempered for in-depth information. He could tell you more than you ever wanted to know about her (just don't get hit by the YouTube mixup).
