Spiteful Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 Thinking of buying Mu 12 just for this Friday, which is something I should have done a long time ago....
Valthazeryus Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 Thinking of just unlockingMu 12 just for this Friday, which is something I should have done a long time ago.... Fix'd. You have free time compared to all of us. Why not just save the money and buy an avatar or something.
Imperfect Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 lol @ buying mu dont you just have to beat story mode several times? I forget its been a while
Theupstreamer Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 I'm with spiteful. I am really not interested in doing the story mode for characters I do not play as. It's pretty generous of him to use his MS points as well for the sake of other people.
M19Kamikaze Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 Mu = "Dat ass" (apparently) Buy Mu = Buy Dat ass I feel like I'm buying a cheap hooker or something

Thanks =D But it's not so much that I don't want to do story mode as characters I don't play, but more so that I really don't want to do story mode at all. Buying her costs points, which cost money, but time is money anyway. So Armando is considering hosting tonight, but wants to know how much interest from us there is to come over and play BB, any takers? Edited August 24, 2011 by Spiteful
Valthazeryus Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 I don't plan to do anything over weekdays when school is in session.
Chumaralupa Posted August 25, 2011 Author Posted August 25, 2011 Getting Mu in story mode is easy, there's only a certain route you have to follow to the main end. Just set the difficulty to beginner and hold like the Y button or something, shouldn't take more than an hour. Of course finding the guide on Dustloop that tells the exact path for Mu might take longer to find. All I know is I refused to pay for something I could get for free so I just followed the Mu unlock guide on my Xbox, unlike you though I like playing the story mode so I played all of it on my PS3.
Ryuuka Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 It takes a lot longer when Kevin is sitting next to you making you listen to all of the voicing because he reads too slowly. I think you only need to finish a handful of characters to get her - it wasn't hard, just tedious. I think there's also a FF button, and a skip feature for scenes you've already seen. IMO not worth paying money to skip.
tubazo1989 Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 Meh, it's his money. The game gave him the option to buy her, so if he wants to, then all power to him. .................. ..............................BUT I'm my opinion (lol), I agree with the fact that she is in the game for free. Sure time is money in most cases, but is the money equal to or greater to the time it would take to unlock her? Aside from the fact that I loved the BB stories, funny endings and all, and aside from the issue of playing characters you have no desire to learn, the simple fact is if you grind through the story, you'll get Mu, and you'll have saved the money you would have spent. Maybe it's just games in general, but I'm starting to feel like we are getting pretty weak in terms of committing to our games. Myself included. There used to be a time in which my brother and I, without help from ANYONE, cleared every single level in Super Mario World when we were little. There used to be a time in which I played through my FF7 over 10+ times just because my memory card was crappy and deleted my saves if we even bumped into the memory card. There used to be a time in which I pumped quarter after quarter into MvC2 even though I was getting my ass pounded by someone who just rolled me over with Magneto, and I enjoyed it because I knew I wouldn't get the chance to play with someone like that again. Now look what the internet and game developers have done to us, myself included. We are given super guides in our platformers if we die too many times. We have shooting games that include plenty of maps and guns, but if we pay a little bit more, we get exclusive maps and guns that we can only play with other people who bought those exclusive maps and guns. I didn't touch 3rd strike until they had a built-in trail mode for basics about the game. My roommate won't take 5 steps during all 3 of his God of War games without consulting to his strategy guide. We are given costumes and colors for our fighters that (unless you count the latest things about hit-boxes changing through AE costumes) don't add anything to our game except a new way to look at it.......AND I BUY THEM! Are we getting old? Too busy to just plow through a game during our free time? Or is it something else?
Chumaralupa Posted August 25, 2011 Author Posted August 25, 2011 Well there's different forms of commitment, there's commitment to completely beating and unlocking everything in a single player game like mario or sonic, which I've done, and committing yourself to getting better at a competitive game to stand a better chance against other players. Of course when I was little I loved single player games but back then I had a lot of time, so I tried to do everything I could. Nowadays I just play multiplayer games where I just try and learn how to get good enough to beat my opponent. It's just a different form of commitment, I mean, I still like a few single player games like Portal, Valkyria Chonicles and I recently played through LA Noire, but it's mainly just to play through a story, I could care less about every unlock or hidden easter egg. Once you get older your time becomes more valuable so the question is, is 5 bucks worth Raul's one hour of time.
Spiteful Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 I thought it would take a lot longer than 1 hour actually. If it can be done in one hour, I would unlock her instead, but don't I need to know what things to do within story mode to get clear endings for each character? I tried looking for a guide on DL and google and couldn't find one.
Ryuuka Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 Hakumen, Hazama, Jin, Noel, Rachel, Ragna, and Tsubaki are the characters you have to finish to get the true ending unlocked. Takes like 10m for each one. btw there are no wrong answers. Just spam the A button until you're done.
Greyvangelist Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 Tubazo tell your roommate if he has to consult a strategy guide for God of War he needs to stop playing video games
TI83 Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 mirage thanks for translating and suming that god awfully long post from tubazo
M19Kamikaze Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 I'd rather unlock it in-game than pay for it. Got her the first day, actually. Thanks for reminding me I need to finish Valkyria Chronicles. So after playing Act Cadenza for about 30 minutes, I can now do dragon punch motions a LOT easier on stick. (Altho rather pointless considering I end up playing characters who lack that motion...)
Zeromus_X Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 I just paid two bucks to unlock Mu, I still haven't even touched story mode. Also, I know this is sudden, but there's a very high possibiltiy that I'll be moving in with some friends near the beginning of next month (we've paid the deposit and everything). Would anyone be interested in coming over to my place for some games later next month? It's a decent size two-story apartment, the first floor has room for maybe two-three setups and there are also two bedrooms that could be used for setups. It's in north-ish Phoenix near 16th Ave and Glendale.
Chumaralupa Posted August 26, 2011 Author Posted August 26, 2011 So you decided to move even FURTHER away eh? Whatever, I'd be down. I'm coming back September 6th and I'm leaving in 7 hours for poverty incarnate.
Valthazeryus Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 This thread is dying because of Mu. Erik is the fucking source of all this decay. I blame him. Erik... I hope you didn't take that $220 you still owe me and put it in deposit.

I just realized something in this post. I think you missed the fact that we were talking about something UNLOCKABLE. I believe alternative costumes are not unlockable and must be bought unless you take the time to transfer data over from accounts to a PS3-to-PS3.
M19Kamikaze Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 It doesn't matter because I don't even play this game... and you bought her? I'm sorry for your loss
