I watched some BBCP vids of characters I don't care about because that's basically all there is atm, and as far as I can tell roll teching didn't really change, you can still delay it and it's still a gay concept. I wish a character had a move like Slayer's 2HS that you could just do on oki to catch both sides. This game does look better as a whole though, still wanna play Izayoi.

Okay, I thought it was so-so at first when I played it at the first loketest, but to be honest, I like it. It sounds nice, like its an indication of hit confirming. Also, they probably a lot more noticeable because in Japan, the arcades are so loud, hence, louder sound for hit confirmations.

R.I.P Gundam Wing, you were an excellent childhood.

I'll admit that I really like Izayoi's design a lot, but I'm not sure that she's my type of character. Azrael and Haku are looking like the most fun for me, even if Hakumen is a shell of his former self. Tager admittedly looks boring now, I don't know why.

It's strange because he's better in a lot of way's now. Combos seem like they got worse and have less options in combos, but the damage is still way better. 5A > 5B > 5C > 6A > 3C is 1.8k now and that's not even magnetized.

I think Tager's concept makes him the most fun........ slow-type grappler in any game I've played. That being said I still don't like playing grapplers generally except for my dear Satsuki but that's because she doesn't feel like a generic grappler.

Also that combo you listed wouldn't do more damage if they were magnetized.

Does anyone know if 3C is back to a good move that let's you OTG your opponent afterwards? I saw Azrael pick up after 3C in that combo vid.

*insert maniacal laughter here*

I hope to god that's Nu's theme. Still not seeing anything too new (haha, puns) compared to already seen stuff. And then I saw stuff. Not sure what though. Although, I wonder if "No.00" actually means anything or just to stir tension

I didn't mean to imply that a combo would do more damage with magnetism, but I meant that you could do a better combo instead with it. It Extend, Tager only gets 1.2k off what that same combo. A generic magnetized combo starting with 5A does a little over 3k, while a better / longer combo in extend does 500-600 less.

Not sure what character's 3C you are talking about.

I think no. 00 just refers to Izayoi, since it's supposed to be a prototype Murakumo unit. But a lot of people are speculating it could refer to Saya.

Mu's new theme sounds like something out of Megaman X or Gradius, but I guess it can't be all Doomy Dooms of Doom anymore.

From what I've seen so far everyone's 3C is the same as it is in Extend. You can OTG on a counterhit only.

That combo is generic magnetism setup... You forgot to follow the 3C > 22D (Gadget Finger) for 1.9k (unkillable). It's fine. Tager generally takes the longest to find what his new gimmicks are because they have to change him drastically these days, from CS2 to EX to CP.

There are many combos I want to test using Tager, but I'm stuck in this place called America until next year.

They shortened a lot of combos on Tager, but he gains a bit more damage it seems (for shorter combos), but at the cost of heat gain. At the cost of his combos, he was given more gimmicks though, which is kind of okay, I guess? Actually, no. His new Gadget Finger is the new gimmick. It has the most majestic pull I've seen. On instant tech when you are magnetized, and the Tager fingers you, you instantly get thrown back to Tager (maybe) faster than Atomic Collider would. His Gadget Finger in this version is so powerful it will push Tager back, at a movement speed faster than his walking speed. Oh, seems like Tech Wheel is useless at the moment.

He also does 3k magnetized normals, which is not bad.

LOL America... And wtf Japan?! Did anybody else see the box of tissues? JAPAN, what else can I say?

Tager seems like he's pretty good, and it'll be nice to see his new gimmicks as people find them. Obviously his damage seems pretty good now, but I'll miss flinging people around like there's no gravity. Something about how he combo'ed in Extend was really satisfying.

I was also suspecting he would lose a lot of potential for heat gain, but I'm sure it's still well above average. It would be nice to see something exciting about him, but I just don't feel like playing him anymore for some reason. It's all Azraels fault (and Hakumen's).

My hype levels went nuts yesterday when I saw some footage of a GOOD Hakumen who knew actually GOOD combos in CP. Finally, someone figured how that stuff works and the damage can be pretty nuts with the right conditions. With a 5C or Zantetsu (Is that what it's called?) starter you can break 5k midscreen, but with anything else you'll have trouble breaking 2k unless you feel like wasting orbs. It seems like you can't even follow the same combo path with the weaker starters, else they'll just tech out of it. But I guess that's fine. I'm ok with getting more frequent fast, weak combos because it seems like more fun. And it's great to see his potential for damage jump a few thousand just because of a different starter.

Azrael is still who I'm the most hyped for, especially since he has Kamina and Takaya color palettes. I get so hyped watching him, even the horrible players. What is strange is how he has such high consistent damage, but no potential for outrageous damage. I've rarely seen him get 4k (which is still high, don't get me wrong) but it's not like he's gonna all of a sudden pull 6 or 7k out of his ass just because he starts with a good prorating move. Maybe people will find something with his OD. It doesn't really matter, though. He already has potential to carry momentum and kill someone incredibly quickly.

Hakumen can always get "decent" damage anywhere if you're willing to spend magatama. What they basically did was make him even more meter dependent and give him more meter to work with. Blockable Zanshin makes him less appealing, though.

I just want blaz to move out of the corner. It always seems like nobody has any real gameplan outside of it.

('Cept Arakune. That's why he's awesome.)
