Yggjrasil Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 I don't think they are faggots, SJ. I know both have been pursuing females recently, it would be rather surprising if their sexual preferences changed that drastically in such a short time. Ladies love the flipflops. :3
TaoFTW Posted October 1, 2010 Author Posted October 1, 2010 I like how this drama is happening after BB made it's debut in NCI. :3 So how about we shut up, man up, and play till the rooster crows in the morning? Save the streaming and recording deal for tomorrow.
Dacidbro Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 This drama doesn't have anything to do with BB, it has everything to do with the community for BB having tension that needs to be dealt with, and I can't for the life of me figure out why it never gets done behind closed doors. @_o
Chun Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Rin and Coopa are the two biggest faggots I know and I want to ban them. WHERE DOES THAT PUT ME P.S just wanted to give you an advance notice of my will since you're killing me tomorrow: "Scott will be required to re-watch K-ON! and K-ON!! until he stops being so tsundere about animu." "Scott will be required to maintain a healthy relationship with a DS Girlfriend."
Spirit Juice Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Okay, just laying the foot down for FUTURE REFERENCE. That way no one can bitch about it. If it comes down to whether we have to STREAM or RECORD, STREAMING will take PRIORITY. Worst case scenario is that we can stream but record matches on poverty hand camera (providing there is one to record with).

Yggjrasil Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 I love it when Ueda Kana makes me feel like dirt whenever she talks to me on Tutorial mode. Oh god, i'm "M"

Worst case scenario is that we can stream but record matches on poverty hand camera (providing there is one to record with). I'm probably going to be bringing my camera with me for shits and giggles to record some shit. Although it's a shitty digital camera and the battery would never last an entire tourney, so that's a bad thing to rely on. unless I bought another battery. But that would require money. Clearly, you should all throw your matches so I get moneys for batteries. At least I know after today that Dacid is going home by my hand, yo.
qwerty Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Btw if qwerty is coming he has the IPW stream password (or maybe coopa has it I dunno). Either way it was promised on iplaywinner, and it should be delivered. Plus the views will skyrocket compared to a random ustream actually, there's another tournament that's gonna be streamed tomorrow (drom's i think?). i'll ask haunts about splitting airtime or something.
Whiteboywilly Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 Yea he prolly didnt come to ours to go to a sf thing or something. Or there stream account is already gonna be used is what qwerty is saying.
Chun Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION PART 2 PARKING IN SJSU GARAGES ON THE WEEKEND IS NOT FREE. I REPEAT, NOT FREE. Parking services have informed me the change for weekends is that as long as you have an All-Day permit (Which is 5$ On weekends rather than 8), south, west, and north garages you are good to go until whenever. The 4th street garage next to the library charges 3$ after 6PM. The West garage closes its gates to INCOMING cars at 11PM. After 11PM cars are still free to leave but you risk a gate malfunction that's been happening recently according to services. So ultimately, I believe you still need to pay for parking no matter where you go on campus, as they're all part of the SJSU campus. If you are willing to take a 40$ fine risk, you can park without a permit.
Spirit Juice Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 Is there a reason one has priority over the other, or is it just personal preference If there is a strong reason it will make everyone's life much easier, and less feelings will be hurt in the process. Ultimately, streaming is more important because, well, it's LIVE. It's really better to have a live event that people can tune into and watch live than to record it later and then post it on YT (which will likely get less hits). Not to mention that in some cases, not everything will be recorded via a capture device anyways (for example Rin does not want to record MB and GG, or only recording top 4 of BB), but everything that gets streamed, even match transitions which can have silly commentary or people talking, is also archived. Overall, the feeling of "community" shines through with live streams rather than recorded matches that are later uploaded to YT. Also, I couldn't get the ender I wanted with my "flashy" combo (it's impossible to end with Carnage Scissors for the combo I was going for), but it is a 150 heat combo for 6k damage. So it's a balance of creative and somewhat respectable damage, but it's not practical at all (which is the point!).

RinHara5aki Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 If everyone mutually agrees that streaming takes priority at these events I'd theres a choice, that's fine. But next time, this equipment deal has to be figured out before hand, and if there wasn't a solution I'll probably just skip that tournament. Haunts can't make it, read the thread qwerts No read the post Dacid, Droms. Haunts is supposedly in Davis streaming the same time NCI is streaming so we'll have figure out an online split or something.
Yggjrasil Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 NorCal: Where equipment/planning is bottom-tier.
KatanaDash Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 I advise folks to try not to get all butt hurt, every buddy is doing what they can to bring their A game and build the community. a little give and take, understanding and care is always needed. I'm sure every one here (except Scott) is just trying to help out, and did not mean any harm by what they said. Lets play games, get hype, and have fun tomorrow.

Plus its entertaining. Once I finish with my syc nursing lectures ill listen to the communities problems at nci, set up a booth and everything.
Dacidbro Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 Oh, I get it. I saw "ask haunts" and thought he meant.. yeah. So he's going to be streaming on the space initially confirmed for NCI?? :/
Honnou Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 Record the event, then stream it and pretend its live. Yep
