been trying out Izuna seriously recently, he's so awesome. absolutly wrecks valentine in master fights, so that's a refreshing change. unlike Sol, he has no problem chasing her down when she tries to creat distance between the two of you. her double jump is rendered useless, as all it does is make her a easy target for you to hit her with a dashing kamelia.

Sol.badguy, we need to have 2 vs 2 that don't disconect on us. maybe if I host them, we will get better results, or something.

good stuff going on here. nice paradigm play from Kimera. there was also a match between his paradigm and nostolgia 7 ( a ky player) which he lost, and it wasn't anything special, so I won't post it. this match here with guilty blood as actually really good though, even if it is a bit on the long side. it might be a bit at moments, but it's definatly worth a look thanks to same really good moments here and there, and kimera's clever handling of paradigm during the master fights.

this is the most drawn out match, but you learn a lot about mainaining control of the map, even if your blocked off in front of you master ghost. there's this super awesome MG defense going on in round 5. this match also shows you just how far early and easy masterghost raids can go. oh, and who can forget the finish? "is it going to be judgement? is it going to be judge-SLASH!!"

I love how well that video demonstrated how fucked up Paradigm is. He's got the best, or at least most useful, summon in the game. his melees cost 150 so if he wants, he can summon 4 sets at the beginning, he's got a skill that doubles the speed of every unit on the field without even being next to them, he's got a distortion from hell that has so many endless uses (including setting at the masterghost in the first round) it's ridiculous, he's got fucking mobiles that only cost 180 to buy(cheaper than fucking candies) AND don't require unlock; which will utterly DESTROY any armors that cost 200 to unlock and 420 to summon (180 > 620), he has no useless elites, And MUCH MUCH more. I especially like the part in that video around 9:30 when guilty blood spends ALL that time trying to kill the Bonebiter and the paradigm doesn't even worry about it. Why? because he's got plenty more mana to summon another unstoppable Bonebiter. And not even that, but the Bonebiter makes it back to the ghost with one hit left, and just as guilty blood goes to deliver the last hit...! It eats 1 geroppa (150/3 =50mana) and gets back roughly 1/3 it's health so he can't kill it...Oh oh! And he's also got, one of, if not THE BEST servant clearing in the game.

Hah, and you said Paradigm was as hard to play as Sol.....Good times.....

I like how you tell me things I've already known forever and think it changes my opinion of the character. :razz:

his units are cheap, but relatively weak, he's got the weakest mobiles and worst armors in the game (which happens to be one of the worst units in the game period.) he's so bad at master fights, his minion is practically a necessity. if you think the fact that it can maintain ghosts is awesome, humming sword does the same thing. his elites are useful, but outside of the bone biter, there isn't anything remarkable. dual horn is a solid unit, so is leonard, but that's all they are; solid units. spirit seeker is more of an accent to his army then anything, it really isn't contributing anything major, other then being a nuisance to the enemy. blowing stuff up is nice, but it doesn't finish off all units in 1 blow, and the character's overdrive can easily be dismantled with 2 dispels, and is the easiest to interrupt of the cast. I shouldn't even have to get into how weak he is as a master, how easy it is to kill him, and he has relatively short range, which means he is easily out zoned in most cases, with few exceptions. The guy has like, next to no options when fighting a sin in master combat.

Well I'm the only american that plays this game everyday so I guess I'm kinda just speaking to myself, but yea if you played more you'd definitely notice. And yes his armors are horrible I'd never use them unless I had way too much mana. His 1 weakness is definitely master fights, but in most situations, avoiding master fights is a good idea for almost everyone and he's got plenty of options to get out of them, or hide behind his units to fight. Btw, I assume you already know his summon has a send flowers ability that raises nearby allies strength right? The only thing I don't understand is why paradigms dont use G. O. O. H. more, it's such a good "attack" that's unblockable. it can even throw someone accross the entire gap on triora to the other side (every character can jump accross that gap also fyi incase you didnt know)

yeah, I already knew that stuff. I have been playing the game for approximately a year, even if I don't play it everyday. I would play it every day if I could though. I understand all the advantages he has, it's just that 1) his units are nothing amazing. they are just plentiful. they pale in comparison to those like Sin and Valentine, even Izuna's units are stonger then his. I havent tested who's melee's are stronger: his or Sol's, but the frogs are weaker then everyone else's. I have confirmed that his dogs are the weakest mobiles in the game, as I stated above as well. 2) bubble bird does not make a strong master. these two weaknesses mean you can effectivly out-muscle the character, espeacially if your ky or sin, who both have blantantly superior armies and incredibly powerful masters. I love the way Kimera plays Sol.

When was the last time you sent mobiles to kill mobiles? I'm talking about how 1. you don't have to unlock them, 2. they're cheaper than candies, 3. they'll kill a group of gauntlet bodies that cost 200 to unlock and 420 to buy. 4. His units are inexpensive as fuck, fill the map with bowers and geroppas and get your bonebiter out in the 1st round. As for the master, like i said before, plenty of ways to get away. PLENTY. I'm not saying ky and sin aren't fucked as well, but I think paradigm bothers me more.

armors cost 150 to unlock. all main units (armors and mobile) cost 150 to unlock. all support units (magic and range) cost 200 to unlock.

there was once a time where I thought his mobiles were a reason to never release armors. I was wrong. it's not that big of a deal, since shitty drills which I don't need to unlock can kill them, and my performance on the battlefield overall improves if I unlock armors and use them regardless. I played paradigm plenty and I fought and studied the character plenty, he's not a huge deal that your making him out to be.

springbok owns bowers anyway. they are annoying as hell to kill, and tear through armors faster then any other unit.

also, keep in mind that it's not always a good Idea to abandon your units and avoid master combat, that goes with ANY master. leave your units alone to save your own ass and watch the enemy master destroy your weak units and give him an opportunity to advance. there are times where you pretty much have to confront the enemy master.

hey! don't get me wrong, I think he's dangerous too, everyone is when played correctly. I'm just saying your overestimating his strong points. I sub paradigm, and I feel like gold when I conquer opponents, I've just been laying off him lately because you really have to be strategic with the character in order to bring out the best of him. He's not like Ky and Sin who can just throw units at ghosts and annihilate the opponent with their muscle. when he's pressured, he need to take risky gambits in order to gain back momentum, such as attempting to kill the enemy master and such. He doesn't have "get out of jail free" card such as heaven's Libra and quadra ballif. I have much love for bubble bird, but he ain't no power house.

Hmm, I wonder why this thread isn't closed when I'm the only one who plays the game anymore.. Played with some american that had played 1800 matches. He was horrible. And he though "the dragon" Paradigm was the worst character in the game. Then I went to a 1on with him and destroyed him with a paradigm that I don't even know how to play. All I know is summon, summon, summon. There was a spot when I had 1800 mana and no clue what to do with it since All my elites were out and I even had my skills. Yea...americans suck I guess...

I still play. I played on Friday (under a different account), and ATTEMPTED to play on Sunday, but it was after you were done (shortly after I sent you the message regarding the condition of your copy). all I found online was this American newbie who kept spamming locked off attacks.

remember that I don't own an xbox, so the times that I get on are not often.

really? I think he's decent. he did do badly in the first video though. he lost so much ground in the beginning it was ridiculous and he was a dumb ass for leaving his MG unguarded. he does better in the other two videos. holy knights fortress isn't an easy map, so I can understand him having difficulty at the start. I've memorized its lay out, but I can still have terrible starts on that map. if you want to see really bad, "Robo danchi's" and "Over The Rave's" stuff is horrible. I'm going to have to watch the videos I put up in my GG2 thread again to ensure quality. I'm remember I put up some of their videos specifically because of how bad the opponent would spank them.

They level up doing anything but walking and sitting in 1 of your 6 pockets. I believe they level up twice as fast at a masterghost as well. They even level up by taking damage.

Yup, that's why I ALWAYS use divine gaze when I'm Ky. Honestly I think people are idiots for not using it. If you carry a quadro baliff, drop it every now and then and use divine gaze on only it to make it gain 1 whole level. Very very useful skill, people are idiots.

Fine with me, just try not to do same character battles. Not only do I find them boring and more lame, but I don't think they're a "true test of skill" anyway considering all of the factors that this game involves, treasure cheasts being a big one.

I'm usually not in a party, the only people I talk to really are Hoshi no Kaabii and Japanese people when I'm in game with them, but I'll talk to you since you're practically the only other english speaker to play this game.

By the way, did you notice in the "demonstration" of the Sol vs Sin, Sol picks up his queen? Man that'd be useful.

wow, I did not know about them leveling up faster at master ghosts. I will have to make changes in the guide to reflect this, but I need more studying on the subject in general. not too long ago I added a section in the FAQ about servants leveling up, so I will update it when I test out it's properties. I used to think that leveling up was neligible, until I relized leveled up servants take forever to kill.

hey, Don't blame people for not taking advantage of divine gaze, it's properties are not apparent. the game never tells you that your servants recieve a stronger boost if it is by itself. I myself only discovered this when I saw other people do it, and it cought my interest. I will test it out and make the changes in my FAQ.

I played with this one jp lecces or something, and everytime he was on my team, we'd both pick up our 6 drills at the start and seperate to 2 masterghosts and both try a cheap shot which worked everytime thanks to a special thing we also did, but iz can't tell nya because otherwise you'll know how to cheapshot me better ( * w * )m

you can find unit info by pausing the game and looking in the "rules" section. don't do that online of coarse. and no, that option does not appear in training mode, only in exhibition mode (and possibly campaign mode)

seriously though, what did you do to make sure the Master Ghost suicides would work? I'm really curious.

Can't let it leak out, and you don't play this game that much anyway >.> , besides, it's not something practical, and if you do it at the start, you're guarenteed to lose no matter what if you don't pull it off anyway so dun worry about it. Just play a lot of 2v2's with lecces and he'll probably do it to you don't worry.
