Fenrir Werwolf Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Please guy, add me, I play against japanese but...too much lag makes Master fights impossible D: (I'm from Europe). I ususally engage them and found me death before I understand what happened lol. That of course doesn't count against Guilty blood and similar, in those case it's just... rape, lag or not. I've also saw some americans today (more affordable, 132 vs 320), but they first kicked from the room and probably blocked me after I send an invitation...oh well. ANYWAY Is the daiborochi that useless? I mean, one strike of this thing means death for the opponent, and since it ignores enemies... If you find an unwatched path, it somehow sneak direct to the enemy MG. I've tried to send it as a loung cource action and it worked :O One hit--->0 barrier---->rush--->death
ZexImmortal Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 (edited) Hey whats up everyone. I for one am I GG Overture Player. i'm looking for people to play with so please add me and lets get some games rolling. (Canada, USA players only or we will "Experience the use Of Lag") Edited August 12, 2011 by ZexImmortal
ZexImmortal Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 I Was thinking...if we wanna impact this game and get people to go like "Holy Order! (Trying not to swear) this game looks awesome" maybe...JUST MAYBE the game will get better exposure and we wont be sitting for 1hour in lobby waiting for ONE dude to join. I say we hold a little Online casual tournament (The fact that tournament is slapped on the title will gget people more into it) and record it post it everywhere and see what we get. we are a small group of GGOT players but im sure there are more out there just saying "Whats the use". If we small sum of GGOT players can show people that this game is indeed competitive, more people are bound to jump on with us. Thoughts?
Fenrir Werwolf Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 At the moment the only community playing this game is the japanese. In the right time you can find find 20 or more people online, usually doing 2on2. europeans do not play this game, while the good americans post in this forum (and barely plays anynmore due to lack of people), and due to the fact they are somehow nearby to Japan I think they can play somehow against them... The others are americans that had started recentely the game, and join online, sometime usually cannot even lock on, and quit after a few tries. Sometimes I create a room for 1on1, but if someone from jp joins it's like having 310 ms of lag :/ like that, master vs master it's almost random due to lag. The reality is that in the west this game is death, and i think it's little late to create a community.
Fenrir Werwolf Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Double post! First, I want to thank xSolbadguy for the matches, and first time to had been playing at his 4 am D: Also, last time lag was better, but still a presence: sometime it seemed good, and then..PAM giant lag teleport-combo failed. For the rest, my xbox keeps freezing sometimes, sorry for that. Too bad because it was becoming interesting, and not like the other two that reached a point where -oh no i'm fucked-. Damn, Sol is fun. I feel like I cannot use Izuna's tribe in a good way, Sol is more direct and I like this aspect. maybe I shold use him more :psyduck:Also defeating large group of servants in three second, as well spamming gun flames in DI have its attractive Oh yeah, played also with Zex immortal. there lag was massive, masterVs master was impossible, sidestepping things was usuless and became a defeat lol. Btw, with sol do not use combo you use against master. Use L<-X, X, or charged X and then RC, or <-x, ->x or Y to wipe out large group of servants.
OvertureKyKiske Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 Hey GG2O players, new meat is here (i have done campaing and played about 2 months without niconico or youtube strategy against CPU - normal... shame on me). I have "finally" gold account so i can play online. Description: Account - Shadow Ky Kiske Equipment - basic controller, standard Xbox equipment (cables, ear phones etc.), HDMI cable + Full HD monitor. *NO KEYPAD* (im slow in writing with my gamepad, dont expect fast respond) - I suck in strategy, i just want to "learn how" fight by myself and not thanks to videos from other battles + i am lazy to replay old fights so i would be easy target for you guys. - My master fighting skills are bad, not worse but bad enough to get raped by Dr. Paradigm... (^^ˇ) - I mostly play *only* with Kiske or Valentine (worst option) but i can play with Sin or Sol as well... but Izuna and Dr. Paradigm are too hard for me: i never choose them. - My lag is superior if you are from Japan and we play 2 vs 2 (1 vs 1 is "somehow" ok) - Im from middle Europe, most of you sleep when i work - but im "made for night" so you can find me online sometime. - And most important: i *really* want to play, but my Xbox is mostly off becasue of my time need... if im online and play *anything* else than GG2 and you want to challenge me: just invite, i will end my game soon as possible to play with you - but if i play GG2 with someone: just wait (^^). Only excepts are games with one my friend ... i will write my status as a "visitor" (normal "GG2 ready" status is: "GG2O for fun!")
Fenrir Werwolf Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 - I suck in strategy, i just want to "learn how" fight by myself and not thanks to videos from other battles + i am lazy to replay old fights so i would be easy target for you guys. As I already said to you working like this wont led you too far. As any beat'em up, do not learning combos, combat basics, safe/unsafe attacks etc will only led always in defeat in master vs master combat (unless you're surrounded by servants). Do not watching repays for trying to understand what mystakes did you made, and why the enemy was superior will cut every chance to improvements. I'm a "beginner", but I can take you very fast and with no difficult even in one round. i'm not telling you to kill yourself and spent days on it, but GG2, as well as GG, is a game that necessitate a little work before, to undersand it and make it shine. ^^ BTW, fun fact: there is a little comunity of new americans playing it in last months. They had like 200 or more fights, so I tryied to challenge some of them (one had like 1000 fights). Well, they actually do not know even the more stupid basics of the game. A NICE COMUNITY
Blackgenma Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 (edited) Sure, I guess? I don't have a problem with calling myself the best. The few times I ever lose is to Sol Badguy's "I <3 lag" fighting style. It's funny how all of Sol's normals can be sidestepped effortlessly in offline, but not online. I know those Japanese guys hate it so bad when I use my laggy guard break setups. You know these "lag tactics" are a double edge sword for players. while EVERYTHING is prone to being WTF I can't get out of this block string OMG and similar shinanigans (this crap does not just happen for sol); it makes Sol's inescapable , high damage juggle combos that are so important to character......not so inescapable. thus my time in training mode drilling these awesome combos into my muscle memory are made worthless. honestly, it was lag that keeps me from getting back into this game, I found myself significantly less tolerant of it then I used to be, my last attempt to get into the game left a bad taste in my mouth because of it (and for once, those games consisted of me owning someone completely in 1 vs 1). its an amazing game nonetheless, still my favorite of all time. perhaps this week I will get back on and revel in this laggy mess, especially since xsol badguy hasn't removed me from his friends list yet for some reason. Fenrir Werwolf Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 (edited) Messed up a few hours today with Valentine and Izuna's servants, especially after I looked at the japanese wiki (witch is EVERYTHING). well, nekomata are awsome. I was also using them wrong. The main use I had for them, if we exclude to be fast->fast reaching ghost) was to be an Armor counter...but their main rule seems to be magic and ranged counter :o In fact, it is not that they only have a priority for ranged and magic, but have a particolar attack that do a big amount of damage to them, from great range, very fast and high in the air (avoiding incoming attacks). Twin trigger dies in one hit. Love them, splitting a unit and using single nekomatas to support kappa triplets or else is <3 .as well finally to be my best trick against Valentine, that was my hell matchup D: Ok, next I've tried a little Valentine's elites (and combo training). usually, depending on how the match goes, I used to spawn just Charlotte or Mille-feille, rarely miss tiramisu most for using her as a bodygard. Eclair seemed very weak to me but...Eclair's skill to neutralize ghost is AWSOME. In Belcanto valley1, it can neutalize from below (like, from ghost 4) the ghost below, and can shot from GREAT ditance (like from ghost 1 to 7). The cooldown is also fast (10 seconds) so you have some ghost neutral at the right time. seems also to be useful before the end of a round, the japanese wiki suggests to take the ones nearby the enemy MG. Also the Japanese wiki make notice of its particular IA, that make a priority on running away enemies before than ghosts, but I haven't tried this out since I cannot register in training enemy's action. About the master, I finally get why 2y is that hateful and useful: at the right distance (or if the enemy tries to rush) it hit behind the enemy, so it can't be blocked. That, the awsome range, low tension cost and the possibility to be used as a meaty make me love it. Oh, and I finally get how to drop servants without stop: I know that the capture trick is a basic, but since I haven't read it anywere i really didn't know how to perform it. last two thing: Pandaking I sometimes try to invite you to a play, but you never answer: I have to keep becuse it's not you on the console or what else? D: -xSolBadguy: sorry for yesterday, while I was waiting a random guy joined, and since you was still in Cs I thought you wanted to finish the trial and I started the match. Oh, I've also stole you trolling setup with Izuna :3 Edited September 7, 2011 by Fenrir Werwolf
Blade Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 Someone tell ASW to port this game to PS3...I wanna play online!!! D:
Sol.Badguy Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 Nobody plays this game but me and kickingark right? k
Fenrir Werwolf Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 Nobody plays this game but me and kickingark right? k nope.avi (unless you mean someone not-lagging) Just recentely I'm having hard times playing on US/JP time, since I'm some busy this period, and synchronizing EU times with yours is now actually more difficult for me. Anyway, I've just renewed my gold account, after the christmas week I hope to start again playing
Fenrir Werwolf Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 I dunno if you guys noticed, but there was GG2 at Gods Garden, some weeks ago. Obviously the player was Kimera san, and was chatting all the time. Still, i just don't understand WHY he do not only made 2on (that do not really express the core of the game, and to someone new only counfonds ideas) , but also some 2on POINT MATCH, which is the most random and stupid mode of the game But it was fun to listem (there should be the stream on livestream somwhere), also i liked when Kimera was fighting: "So, you see, it is wrong to make now backstep, jump or lateral step" "ah, so you have to guard" "No, for that there is Guard crush" ...
Fenrir Werwolf Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Gods Garden? http://ja.twitch.tv/godsgarden/ Around page 4 of the old recorded streams If you follow Blazblue you should know what is it, even if it's mostly SF4 :P
Sol.Badguy Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Man if I could record gameplay and such from TV I'd totally make some GG2 tutorial videos..
Fenrir Werwolf Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Man if I could record gameplay and such from TV I'd totally make some GG2 tutorial videos.. True, the combo vid I found on YT is kinda outdated I'm working on a recording setup thou, I'll make you know if it works
Kanashimi Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Yo name's Kanashimi, I play GG2 now and again hit me up if you want to fight sometime. Hey Fenrir, if you do get set-up could you do a vid for Izuna?
Sol.Badguy Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Blast from the past. I remembered a message Kou sent me 2 years ago when I was having trouble vs Paradigm. In case anyone but me ever checks this thread again here it is. First of all there are two types of Dr. users The Dragons - People who mainly use Dr. and knows how to use him correctly. The Birdies - People who use Dr. as their sub-character and plays Dr. similar to how other characters are played. 1. Against the dragons - There is NO WAY you can defeat a Dr. with your usual strategy.? ? ? This is mentioned by Kimera Cryin the Jap Champ. ? ? Ex. Dropping Drills, killing servants, fighting masters once in a while, and advancing your main armies. ? ? These will NEVER work on the Dragons. Why? ? ? ? ? ? The Dragons kill servants twice as faster than Sol + able to control their organ while exterminating your servants. ? ? They are also able to drop off servants twice as more than sol, Frogs are cheaper and their gate gunners can actually ? ? takeover an open ghost. If they find a pack of drills they'll kill it and advance the army to two ghosts ahead with? ? ? the speed up skill. The Ghost Through ? ? ?This technique is considered very cheap. Let's say you own most of the ghosts and is getting ready to take down their ? ? ?Master Ghost. Next moment "your" Master Ghost will be surrounded with 10 Dr. servants. Game Over. ? ? ?Players first thought that this was a bug but the ARK SYSTEM WORKS announced that if they fix this problem ? ? ?the entire game may crash. ? ? ?Ways to avoid this - put drill on every single ghost you own (which will then allow Dr to simply advance easily haha) ? ? ?You can use this technique with your Queen, but it aint that effective unless you are VERY good like Kimera. Conclusion - Chase + Kill + Keep bothering Dr. then defend with your life. Win with decision after round 5. ? ? ?Yes I'm serious this is the only way to defeat the dragons. Don't advance even if ur on the lead, then the Dr. will simply ghost through. ? ? ?Now there are atleast two routes that you must defend on every map. When Dr. advances he'll for sure advance two separate armies ? ? ?and support one of them. You must run to the spot where Dr. is supporting and send your queen to the other. If the Bone biter goes to ? ? ?the other all of your servants will die with constant doggie reinforcement. Queen is the only servant that can take on the biter BUT the? ? ? ?doggies will rape her unless you put some drills there too. (Yes there is a chance when the biter simply kills all your drills but this is the only ? ? ?solution. If you have enough mana you can support them by putting Blockhead with them. Fighting the Dr. Army vs. Army ? ? ? Dragons always carry Dual Horn with them all the time, one of the best pokemon in the game. If you see it, either slide or smash cancel it ? ? ? so if won't freeze you. You should carry two dispels when fighting Dr. Don't leave the Gate Gunners alone they not only attack you but? ? ? ? increases attack power of the others and put slow curse on your servants. One dispel will kill them all. When Dr. has a chance it will put nitro ? ? ? on your servants (the green stuff) you can also use dispel to take them off. If you don't, your servants will simpy get killed. Don't forget to dispel ? ? ? the anti rods too.? Fighting the Dr. 1 vs 1 ? ? ? ?Things you need in priority, Dispel + Zipper (Engulfer) + Heavy feet. ?The Gate Gunners increase Dragon's chance of escaping, kill it with dipel ? ? ? ? or smash cancel. Sol can put Zipper and Heavy feet in one combo, this is very useful. When your opponent has heavy feet you can use a ? ? ? ? smash cancel - foward step- uppercut loop combo. This is also useful. If you can't kill Dr in one on one, give up. The Birdies just fight them like others Ignore the Question marks.
Sol.Badguy Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Also, wicked cool combo that KickingArk showed me with Izuna. (L) x, x, x, (L) Dash forward (F) x, y, (L) Side step, x, y, 8x, Jump, air dash, J.8x. About 260 dmg. Pretty fuckin cool. I've never seen it in my entire experience before. The 8x can be kind of hard to connect after the y, but I just mash it after y and it seems to usually work ok.
Blade Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 I would love to watch a decent "Dragon" video replay. Hopefully something that makes Paradigm put up a fight.
Blackgenma Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 paradigm stuff haha, wow, the ghost bug sounds especially nasty. I wonder just what it looks like. a shame Arc system couldn't fix a terrible bug like that.
Fenrir Werwolf Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 A good Paradigm is sooo difficult to fight And especially first class-paradigms is just...too much, they evenvcan be incredibily annoying in vs master combat :V Still, I think it's one of this charachter that anyone should learn to use, since, at least in the beginning, forces you to improve game basic strategy. As you notice, chasing the doc with Sol is a "nice" strategy. I remember a good player during a stream (can't remember who, maybe Guilty Blood but I'm not sure) ranting while using the doc against Sol after a lose that "GG2 is not a fighting game! If you want to play a Fighting game you should quit gg2 and play something else!". You can imagine how the fight was, Sol chasing the doc ALL the time and winning just for the Critical Down. I see also Kimera bugged by this but, as he stated, he uses the Doc just for fun/learning (as for me, i somehow quitted the game. No EU player bug me the most, if the JP or US joins is mostly for an act of pity, 250 lag is usually unplayable :V)
Hiruandan Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 I'll just drop by here and say I'm a GG2 player, FROM EUROPE. Don't mistake me for a hardcore GG2 expert through, I mostly just play things for fun, not to win. But I'd love to try some online matches with people here anyway. Who knows, maybe I'll finally learn something when I get to fight real opponents and not just NPC's and clueless family members~
