I'm living in Seattle for the foreseeable future. Fremont area. Near the Fremont Troll if you know where that is. I'm much more proximate to many more people now. I'm a little busy getting used to the area and looking for work, but I want to get out and game when I get the chance.

GG and BB are the only games I still play.

Washington thread, I found you!

I'm in Bonney Lake, a dead town. Persona 4 Arena is pretty cool, and so is BB:CT!

I'm also getting Japanese Imported BB Chrono Phantasma as soon as my pay pal works for my friend.

Hehe. I used to live in Bonney Lake a loooong time ago. (Before 4th grade)

Have you been to any events here, yet?

Posted

Is this where to give shoutouts now?  I'll keep it quick in case nobody reads this, lol.

It was super cool to see the old NW GG crew again after 5-7 years, it has been way too long since I've had the time and motivation to travel.  Glad to see that almost everyone made it to NWM.  Kyle and Jais, it was an honor to finally meet you two after all the good stuff I'd heard about you guys over the years.  I'll be coming back for NWM7 for sure.  If any of you are going to UFGT10 I'll see you there, otherwise catch you all at Evo!

Hello!  Nice to meet you.  Persona is great!  It seems you are not too far away too.  Somewhat in between the South scene and North scene.  We just have to take a slight detour off 167 onto 410, then up the big hill.  I live just off 512 bewteen Canyon and Parkland, Kaigu lives in Spanaway, Polka near Pierce College, Steilacoom, Joe in Southwest Tacoma, Huey253 in downtown Tacoma, and the rest in Olympia.  You should try to join us for our next gamebreakers tournament in Auburn.  Should be only 20 minutes from your place.

Hey Seattle crew and everyone attended for GG+R, nice meeting you all and great event. My first time there in the state and really had a good time and will make sure to have mini umbrella with me next time :) .

no particular order:

Veteru/ Travis/ Loz/ Tae/ Jais/ Kyle/ Teyah/ C0R/ Huey/ Scyther/ Wuku/ Alex Digital Watches/ Panda/ Caedmon/ 9TNINE/ HELLSAP!! :)/ Mike (Slayer player)/ and everyone else who I have met, thank you for the good times and great groups of FG players! I will be sure to visit again but will have more days to stay in the city to check out downtown etc. Me and Teyah were talking about shoutouts post tournies on this site and how it kinda faded before twitter etc. So I wanted to give you all a shoutout mode! Also If any of you guys ever visit Norcal you will always have a place to stay too.

Cheers and have a great week!

DUUUUUUUUUDES fun times!  Nice to meet you Kenji after hearing about you for all these years.  Nicest guy ever!  You don't need to spend your winnings on beer for the group!  And Paul!  Thanks for making the huge commute!  It's been probably a six years or so, so it was good to see you again.  Mark, it's probably been the same.  Aginor, sorry I missed it when you came up here, but keep up that I-No play!

Thanks to everyone who made it out!

Someday I'll learn how to play against Zappa. :arg:

I actually live behind the Allen York skate park, so I can hear all the events there from my window.

I can also smell the pot...

We usually have it on the side for casuals. The tournament games are Guilty Gear and BBCP.

Damn. I'm pretty casual. Still haven't been able to get my bbcp

Thanks Tae, you were really impressive yourself.  Good to see you again after all the years.  Hopefully I'll see you (and Won if he's back by then) next year at NWM7!

Yeah it's been way too long, I think I'm as old now as you were back then.  Except you still look the same, and as Wuku told me, I look really old, lol.  I'll be at NWM7 for sure, hopefully see you then for Xrd!

Aginor it was great playing/hanging with you.  Train hard, you've got the best North American competition in most FGs in Norcal/Socal, so if you work at it I'm sure you can get to a high level pretty quickly.  Catch you at Evo!

Hey all Washington people, and anyone that's heard of Enumclaw. Enumclaw has a theater there called the Enumclaw shallots theater, and they'll let you rent the place out for around $28 an hour, a little expensive, but I think that'd be really cool for tournaments, or gatherings, to do that on a huge theater screen.

I always forget that Dustloop is even a thing since I'm pretty much a FB monster. Just wanted to say thanks for the practice at the PNW house. I really appreciated it! See you guys at EVO!

I'm new to the Seattle area. Is this an OK place to ask where people generally play around here?  Or should I piss off to somewhere else...

This is the place. We have monthly tourneys in Auburn (which admittedly is somewhat south of Seattle) at http://gamebreakerz.com/ but depending on what you play there may be other options too.
