Loss of the 2 Hit clap would make Fermatta fairly un-useful again :S

WTF? are you sure?, you Can´t do 2 hit clap? why did they remove this? Come on arksys.

Well if Carl can still do the old combos, doing the same dmg plus 3]D[ i think that Carl will be good.

If not.. i will never update CS xD.

So, when they say 3D stands, does it mean it just puts them on their feet in a position of their choice, or does it make them COMPLETELY vulnerable to 2B/3C?

And Anima seems like it may be getting more use than 4D. SUHLEDGEEEE > ANIMA > FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF > 2D loop

It stands, but they don't have to tech like with ragna 22C, so you shouldn't immediately go for 2B/3C, since it will be a high hit count blackbeat combo.

If you delay a second, as it stands now, it seems like you can go for high/low, crossup, or throw.

Con Anima with super armor is the sexiest thing in this game. Clearly Carl was not strong enough in CS1.

Well Carl should be like Eddie, that why he is 2 chars in 1 hahahah, we need Eddie drills!! XD.

I always thought that Carl need more UB options, its sad that Dp user can blow away that type of setup U_U.

Yes, now it's not useless anymore.

I dont think that is too useless, you can always crosup with anima plus vivance. And anima combos deal like 4.5k dmg

the other thing they could have done to make anima more useful was just remove the battle call completely or make it a generic "ne-san..~!" lol.

i'm sure, but there are times when you might want to throw it out for a green throw attempt mid-pressure and a random J.a might become just as bad of a tell, and any other move has too much hit stun.

Nothing to do with hit stun, because you wouldn't be touching the other character. :]

- 3C launches higher, techable. Can combo into jB if close enough.

+ 8D air-unblockable again (barrier works).

LORD YES @ 8D.

I wonder how high it launches. I see nice Sandwich resets into 3C > j.B > J.C> 8D> dem loops.

8D can still be barriered. Nothing is stopping people from holding up during sandwich/corner pressure :/. Since 8D is blockable, then there's nothing he has to punish jumpy opponents. Also, lol at arc making techable sweeps. It's already hard enough to hitconfirm with most characters 3Cs, shouldn't they yield high reward? I guess arc doesn't like that carl can get 5.5k meterless off 3C, lol, funny thing is it's easier to hitconfirm 2D off an unblockable, and that also leads to 5.5k meterless. Watch some arcsys rep be reading this and be like "One of the carl posters just reminded me that they can get 5.5K meterless off 2D as well, lets nerf that too"

Ofcourse it's just a loctest so nothing is final.

I really hope the SA anima stays, that would be wonderful. I would love the 3D change as well, but as kyle said we could have some GG eddie BS on our hands. Zong, like I said it might be just a bit too good. I want carl to have true oki, but 3D to force standing into unblockable/crossup/reset, I mean lol, I love it, but people would cry nerfs for carl all day, and arc might end up overnerfing him in a later patch down the road. When all they'd have to do is just change 3D back to the way it was.

Quick question about 3C change. That mean that now we can´t do 3c, IAD, J.2C alle~can and go to some combo?

Also 8]D[ mus be fully unblockable....

Meh 8D being blockable isn't that bad. Punishing people for jumping out? It's not like you can't hit them during their jump startup if you predict a jump, Carl has tight enough blockstrings. That was honestly not his strongest element. 3C being techable is a much harsher nerf than 8D being blockable.

They can jump if they want, I'll take the primer.

Also, if they jump into it, they'll probably get hit anyway, since this game doesn't have 1F jumps. >.>

I'm getting excited to work with the changes for my chars in the future.

Did 3c become techable when you otg it (it got buffed 2nd loketest right?) or is it completely techable regardless of how you hit it.

In #2, I was pretty sure it was still untechable even if you hit an airborne opponent or did it otg.

For the time being, even on normal standing hit, it's techable.

Not sure what they're trying to do with everyone's untechable sweeps. "/

I think this won't stay, at least for Carl.

Not sure how he'd work without 3C > IAD j.2C

I guess 3C > 22D > vivace A > oki?

it's funny, i feel like the buff to 8D's same-move proration is to encourage more "bad dio combos"
