Fistmaster049 Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Hidden Retreat was the best Tekken stage ever created. Nothing will ever top it. ....Moonlight wilderness from Tekken 5? but yes admitly its hands down the best stage in T6 followed by money pit, so much swag
SolxBaiken Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Why are they taunting me... Next better be Kunimitsu (assuming it's before the 11th :P)
Tsuki Garyuu Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 http://www.siliconera.com/2012/09/05/tekken-interview-dlc-and-how-social-media-changed-haradas-role-as-a-producer/ Deserves a read.
SolxBaiken Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 SMURF YAY! Gonna watch that while I wait for this to load: My body, she is ready... ; w;
Urichinan Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Oh God, I hope this is real: http://shoryuken.com/2012/09/09/rumor-additional-characters-found-hidden-on-tekken-tag-tournament-2-disc/ I would totally main Sebastian. If he and Dr. B show up I'd also like to do a old man combo video with Dr. B, Jinpachi, Sebastian, Wang and Baek. That'd be awesome.
SolxBaiken Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 It's all about Slim Shady, erm I mean Bob. I really, REALLY hope most of these don't end up "clones" as Slim Bob, Sebastian, and Miharu could provide for the introduction of 3 new playstyles. but they probably won't be :< Also find it weird that Violet is DLC when he's already in Fight Lab lol

DLC chars are found on SFxT: OMG CRAPCOM IS CHARGING FOR ON-DEEEEEEEEEEEESK DEEEEEEELLLLLLLLCEEEEEEEEEE!!1!!1!1!" DLC chars are found on TTT2: AWESOME Please tell me I'm not the only who sees anything wrong withthis.
Vulcan422 Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 SEBASTIAN + DR. B CRAAZY OLD MAN TEAM MOTHERFUCKERS

Niitsuma Harada (thanks soba) is taking advantage of the backlash of the dlc chars of sfxt by giving those dlc chars for free, so he can be seen as a hero to the ignorant masses Edited September 9, 2012 by Hecatom
Starlight777 Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 I can't wait to see Sebastian and Slim Bob if it's true lol. I don't see the point of Violet being playable when everyone knows it's just Lee wearing a purple wig and sunglasses. We could just make that a costume lol
SolxBaiken Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Niitsuma is taking advantage of the backlash of the dlc chars of sfxt by giving those dlc chars for free, so he can be seen as a hero to the ignorant masses Niitsuma? Do you mean Harada? Also I never understood the rage for SFxT characters and I won't pretend that I do, if there's launch DLC for a game, surprise surprise it's on disc. Also the same thing happened with Jill/Shuma in MvC3, and much like them the DLC characters weren't complete and saw further adjustments and such from what was on disc and what was released. Also I'd rather not have gigs of space used up for characters :< I don't see the point of Violet being playable when everyone knows it's just Lee wearing a purple wig and sunglasses. We could just make that a costume lol The same could be said of Tiger, the point of bringing all these "clones" back is to appeal to fans and also try to give them their own identity, although some are more unique than others (Kunimitsu and Yoshimitsu have been drifting further and further apart with each iteration, and I like it :D ). Also the other major inclusion for "clones" is to help newcomers ease in, by providing similar characters you can pair up and not have to stress learning 2 radically different playstyles. It will be interesting to see what Violet brings (if you're a Lee main lol)
Starlight777 Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Yeah true, Namco has gone out of their way to make every clone different. I can't wait to see what separates Violet from Lee besides a pair of shades. That's if this rumor is true of course.

I can't wait to see what separates Violet from Lee besides a pair of shades. That's if this rumor is true of course. Lee: "Come On! Excellent!" Violet: "Bring it On! Perfect!" And there's little reason for this not to be true, I mean aside from a WHOLE BRAND NEW character, there's not much left they could pool from for further DLC, and Violet is already in Tag 2 (Fight Lab) = w=
iw2ma Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Well i mean we gotta but the two new characters Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre
Hecatom Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Niitsuma? Do you mean Harada? Yeah, harada, my bad :/ Also I never understood the rage for SFxT characters and I won't pretend that I do, if there's launch DLC for a game, surprise surprise it's on disc. Also the same thing happened with Jill/Shuma in MvC3, and much like them the DLC characters weren't complete and saw further adjustments and such from what was on disc and what was released. Many people feel that if is in the disc, they don't have to pay twice for the content on it.
Starlight777 Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Lee: "Excerrent" Violet: "Excellent" And there's little reason for this not to be true, I mean aside from a WHOLE BRAND NEW character, there's not much left they could pool from for further DLC, and Violet is already in Tag 2 (Fight Lab) = w= fix'd Violet speaks english in the fight lab ending. A majority of the endings were leaked.
SolxBaiken Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 People feel robbed knowing that the DLC chars are not DLC in reality and that they are sitting there complete, at least on MK, and on MVC3 they weren't complete and you had to download the rest of the data. Many people feel that if is in the disc, they don't have to pay twice for the content on it. But I don't understand the feeling of being robbed, any game that is played online, if all users are not using the same data they can't be play due to there being missing information, that's why mandatory patches are issued, and you know what you get in those patches? The entire bulk of whatever DLC they release, meaning you "have" the DLC, but in order to utilize it you must purchase unlock codes. So it being on disc or not is really a moot point, and having it on disc is better because it prevents you from having to waste precious space on something arbitrary. I don't think Harada (and especially not Bamco---who are NOTORIOUS for paid DLC, especially in the Japanese market) were trying to "capitalize" on the "Capcom situation", that's propaganda created by the fighting game community and nothing more. I do believe Harada has a different philosophy and apparently Bamco is more lenient on how their heads tackle their own projects (in an interview he stated no one at Bamco tells him how he's going to handle DLC but they do inquire about his approach, and he explains it to them). Harada isn't a hero, nor is he trying to build himself up to be one, he's merely following his own ideal and the masses are making their own conclusions. Violet speaks english in the fight lab ending. A majority of the endings were leaked. Try all of them lol, I've been watching ones for characters I don't care for too much, and purposely watching them windowed and at SD :V

(I personally don't really care) I don't think Harada (and especially not Bamco---who are NOTORIOUS for paid DLC, especially in the Japanese market) were trying to "capitalize" on the "Capcom situation", that's propaganda created by the fighting game community and nothing more. Maybe, maybe not, but the fact that many people feel (myself included) that they started this whole Free DLC characters propaganda after the backlash with capcom started is ineteresting to say it in a way If his propaganda was only about him talking that he doesnt want to charge for the characters, then no problem, but is the fact that he attacks the practice and implies that is wrong and that companies that do it are bad for doing it is why many people feel that they are doing it to capitalize and gain some sort of benefit from the backlash with the incident with capcom.

What...LOL, he never did ANY of those things, his philosophy on DLC has always been the same like when people asked about it with T6, Harada often mentions (on Twitter) that people mince his words, he never stated that the way other companies go about their DLC plans are "wrong" and he doesn't feel there is any "right" way, he merely doesn't want to charge for characters/stages because at their core they are essential to the experience. That's his personal believe and he never names anyone else's policies or operations and says they're doing it wrong. Everyone is practicing selective hearing and twisting what's being stated. The free swimsuits for everyone is sign of good will as Harada said he would charge for cosmetic DLC.

QF-Fucking-T And if you bother to look at his recent interviews, Harada believes that the little things, such as music, costumes, extra skills, can be charged for. Besides, who the fuck is gonna release a AAA title that's 100% Free DLC and get away with it? Namco Bandai has been stressing Harada to charge SOMETHING, and music, costumes, etc. (like, sad to say, Soul Calibur 4 & 5) is the way to go. DLC is generally a "micromanagement" task anyway.

Starlight777 Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Miharu's redesign is just a bikini, some really torn shorts and a nice hat? Awesome. Sebastian as a playable character is something I have to see and the return of Dr.B was inevitable.
