Moblin Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Does it make a difference what order you do OD > Mugen in? Like is there a difference between OD > Mugen, or Mugen > OD?
Raziul Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Technically yes. You'll be able to squeeze out that extra second of OD that you'd otherwise have to spend activating Mugen if you do Mugen > OD. It just looks a little weird when you have 7 stars but it's still considered infinite heat.
mAc Chaos Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Hmm. I was going to say that doing OD first would be better since Mugen in OD doesn't drain stars. So if you did Mugen first, there'd be that small amount of time from activating Mugen to activating OD where you'd lose some meter.
Raziul Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Well, it could come right down to the situation. With Mugen already active, the star count doesn't matter, as it will last as long as the OD does and you can perform whatever moves you want even if you're down to a single star as long as mugen is still on. But what if your situation at the time is you have 7 stars and can't activate Mugen yet, but are in a safe position to get ready for it? Pop OD, instantly hit 8 stars, then start Mugen. But that is entirely situational.
Schneider-X Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Here's a fun FT5 I had with a friend. Watch it for some laughs as some pretty goofy things happen in it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_INRqLK8Q7o
mAc Chaos Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Bmeister. I haven't seen him since CT. Rachel player.
Schneider-X Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Well once he found the local offline scene he plays online alot less often now.
mAc Chaos Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 I'm seeing a lot of neat stuff in these matches. Like Haku 5A hitting behind him. Since you like j.D, you should use the extended combo for it and get more damage.

BlackYakuzu94 Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 It seems Bmeister is back to his old videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UdOOS6Glt14
mAc Chaos Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Koko should lay off the munchies Also what's the extended combo? The fatal counter version. That would probably even catch those instances where j.D's grab whiffed since Agito would followup.
Schneider-X Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Oh you meant that. I don't like using it because it has a tendency to whiff but if I have a really good read on a 6A or such I should probably start doing it.... and D enma followups in general! Look at our FT5 Yakuzu and you'll see that its just how our matches play out usually haha.
mAc Chaos Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Well, at first I actually meant another combo but I realized it was too expensive to be really worth it. The Hotaru followup after normal j.D.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Speaking of a FT5, here's me against a friend of mine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hRbXTEIeYRw&index=2&list=UUljbe0vFgsg3hrnqbAMm3Cw It's been weeks since I've fought his Noel, so I honestly forgot the matchup. Still managed to win, but ugh.
Kriegdrache Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Oh you meant that. I don't like using it because it has a tendency to whiff but if I have a really good read on a 6A or such I should probably start doing it.... and D enma followups in general! I feel the same. I know I can usually get decent damage off them, but I never attempt them for some reason outisde of 5D on occasion. I think it's years of muscle memory. J.D fatal is pretty fun though.
The Martian Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Can someone give me some detailed advice as to what I should do in the Lamda matchup? Unless I get lucky enough to get in and keep that pressure on her, I'm pretty much free. Also is there any real use for 66>214A?
BlackYakuzu94 Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 ...You mean Nu right? And matchup questions should go into the respective matchup thread.
The Martian Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 I just call her Lambchops lol And goddamit I waited hours for a response and I get this Guess I'll go post there and check back in a few days
mAc Chaos Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 I'll just move over anything good. Can someone give me some detailed advice as to what I should do in the Lamda matchup? Unless I get lucky enough to get in and keep that pressure on her, I'm pretty much free. Also is there any real use for 66>214A?The matchup is 5-5 that's more like 7-3 to whoever has the advantage. Your first aim should be to get in on her so you can apply pressure.Be on the lookout for her 5D and 6Ds. When they whiff, you have a chance to close the distance with either Kishuu, hop, or Gurren. If you really make a good read on her 5D you can IAD over it as well. Be careful about 6D because it can hit Haku standing when you get close enough. For the most part you should focus on a ground approach. Jumping gives her time to lock you down in the air andwaste time, or even worse run under you and get to the other side of the screen. If she gets sloppy with her swords, you can punish her with Shippu's projectile wave.Be aware of her two different modes and what her options are in them so you can act accordingly with her. For instance, she only has her overhead super in Luna form (and it's not an overhead in OD). So if she's in Dia mode you can be more aggressive with your approach since you don't need to worry about that. Here are her attacks, with the different properties listed: http://www.dustloop.com/wiki/index.php?title=Nu-13_(BBCP)When you get into about starting match range it's a guessing game. Both of you have options that beat the other and you'll have to rely on good reads.Once you get near her, you have to make the most of your opportunity; chances are you won't get another shot against a good Nu. The instant you land a solid hit, pop your OD and get in as much damage as possible, then stay on top of her as best you can. Don't be afraid to use OD to stop the timer if things get dragged out long enough. As for Agito, it mainly has a use as a combo ender and an approach tool. Also an anti-anti-air. There are also some oki setups with it, but those don't get used much.
Warhound Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Been out of the Haku game for awhile to learn Az, but I went to Anime Midwest and got a harsh wake-up call when there were at least 2-3 other Azrael competitors in the very modest line up. SO, I think I should get back to upping my Haku game to match my Az game. Seeing as how I've been out of the loop for awhile, i was wondering who are the top Haku players to watch?
Raziul Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Poropiccho always seems to do some cool stuff. Chin and Hikaru were the other two I always see on Jourdal's vids.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Which reminds me, I should update the thread with new vids soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Also Chibaken and Gaktesu (Film), PRFarmy although I dont think he plays CP anymore and theres always the purple grey (zombie) colour Haku thats on the hour+ videos on the AChoo channel..
Warhound Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 I always remembered Suzume being a pretty damn good Hakumen to watch.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Chin also does a lot to capitlize on that OD damage. There was another Hakumen recently, a blue one from Maxim Hero that was pretty dominant too, I'll let you guys you know when I find him when I begin updating again.
