Due to his nerfed metergain in 1.1 it's not that bad to have a more grounded combo route. It seems that they love it to force Hakumen players to learn him anew every few literations.

Edit: I fear that he's going to be like in CS2. I would prefer CT Hakumen over CS2 Hakumen.

Enma > 5C, 2C

 

or Enma > 5C, 2B>5A ect could stil work if 5C is not nerfed. I wounder what is going on with J2A

Or in the corner could be something like :  Enma > 5C, 2C > j.2A > j.C, 5C, 2C> j.B ect for more damage without metter maybe?

j2A gatlings into jC, and you can presumably IAD after that.

 

So it would be more like Enma 5C, 2C > j2A > jC > IAD (j2A?) jC, 5C, 2C > j2A > jC IAD jC 5C 3C

 

also 6C is supposed to work after enma in the corner

 

of course this can all change in the next loketest

Oh, I see now. I was thinking of jC > Hotaru > airdash. But jC gatling doesn't add anything there really.

 

There goes my theory.

Well, j.C > Hotaru on the corner does pretty good damage.It would be nice if it was something like that in midscreen BnB combos. By the way, I want the EX version of hotaru to come back xD

For some reason I was thinking of j.2A gatling into j.2C. I guess that would have been too useful for them to give us.

 

Will we be able to do something like j.2A > jc > j.B > J.2A > j.C for an air ender?

I'm surprised their reworking hakumen's combo routes again in this loketest.  I'm just going to worry about the final changes we have since we've had wonky loketests in the past.

While I'm happy we potentially could have a different combo route...Hakumen needs some real changes. I don't want to be that "Zanshin guy" but seriously, they need to take a good look at what they want from Haku as a character.

i lurk around wondering if they're going to fix what i didn't like about him in CP (ie no zanshin facilitating defensive gameplay)

Had it pretty much ignore Terumi's. Need to watch the replay and see if it just ran out of active frames, but it looked like it just passed right through me before I could jump or anything.

 

Yep. That's what appears to have happened. In the replay it shows it hitting me, but I don't remember it happening that way, so must have been some weird lag.

So did anybody know that you can combo from his drives when OD is active? As in without using the Enma followup; apparently his drives cause ground bounce in OD and you can link 5C>xxx afterward.

I totally forgot about it, so it was still good to bring up.

It would be the kind of thing that would be useful to note in the frame data notes, or the wiki side.

I've known this from day 1, but I have never actually gotten to use it. A problem with OD is that if you miss the moment to use it, the opponent goes into heavy defensive mode. It's a similar issue as with going into Mugen. I've only ever landed Yukikaze as far as drives go in OD.
