Tone Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Logical is bad?? If it logically works, why not at least shoot for it? Never said it was bad. I'm personally in favor of getting things started on time and DQing people who don't show and cause delays. Of course, being strict on things is going to make a lot of people annoyed, I'm sure, but those shouldn't be the ones that get catered to anyways.
qwerty Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 (edited) well, let's be honest here; how many norcal melty players actually come to nci? i wasn't there last month but i can't recall any sfsu people for the better part of a year. though tone does raise a good point; i doubt ah3 or kof13 would out-attend gg, and there probably will be a significant amount of crossover (why is it so bad to assume that people at the venue may want to play another game? as it is, there's a lot of people entering two or more tournaments). and guys, people are always going to be late. that's just how it is. also, from the perspective of a to, being late is not nearly as bad as being there and hovering around the tournament setups like vultures waiting to play casuals. i can't tell you how many times i had to yell at people in november to stop playing casuals on tournament setups; just because they're not being used doesn't mean they're available. natearistata Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Yes, people are going to be late. But when every single tournament is starting hours later than planned, time to make a change.

Zidane Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 Majority of people claims Hazama will be at the high tier with strengthened zoning.

Spirit Juice Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 AH3 is fine as long as Jiang isn't allowed to enter.
qwerty Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 Stay retarded, Tao. excuse me, but who are you again? this is the second time i've seen you throw insults towards people who know better than you and have done more for the community than you. first it was ken for not being a native english speaker, and now john, who while admittedly is being a bit snarky, is also correct. here's a tip; don't treat people you're going to meet in person like some random fuck on the internet. it makes people with an ounce of self respect not want to be anywhere near an obnoxious buffon who threatens to throw people through windows. i'm not saying assuming that there will be crossover is bad, i'm saying you using that rationale to eliminate mb from our lineup is bad. i guess i haven't been terribly clear. to put it simply; i don't think we have the time or resources to run five tournaments in one day. and if it has to come down to removing a current game to make way for a newer one, i think melty would be the best candidate. but, chun is saying that we don't have to off melty, so maybe he's already got the logistics all figured out. if that's the case, i'm all ears.
Sarsapari Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 AH3/KOFXIII tournies will probably be reliant solely on me/David due to setups. Neither of us are going to take out MB. Pointless arguments. Alex stop starting drama for games you don't play. If you don't want people to treat you like Mizuki stop sounding like him.

Tone Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 from experience, the issue with multiple games isnt really having setups, having people to run the games, or anything, the issue is time. time becomes a problem when person who is supposed to be playing a match in Game A is holding up a bracket because he has to play matches in Game B and Game C. of course, this is assuming people are crossing over and entering multiple games, but it does tend to happen a lot. even more of a pain when different setups are in different rooms.
qwerty Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 first i've heard of round robins at nci. it is more flexible logistically speaking. maybe i'll enter melty next month as a sign of good faith.
natearistata Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 qwerty, let me save you some time in the future; I do not and never will give a shit what you think as for the kennyon thing, that was said in ignorance and I apologized, like I should have for being an asshole to someone who did not deserve it
qwerty Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 as for the kennyon thing, that was said in ignorance and I apologized then you should apologize for all of your posts, since they're all ignorant. or, maybe you'd prefer to throw me through a table. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UM0C-AWXfrc
mAc Chaos Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 qwerty, let me save you some time in the future; I do not and never will give a shit what you thinkThis is not how you become a member of the community. :8/:
qwerty Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 that's the spirit i don't hold grudges, so take the irl protip at face value, kay?
natearistata Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 This is not how you become a member of the community. :8/: qwerty is not a member of the community I care about people who enjoy playing BB and I can enjoy playing against them are.
qwerty Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 for what it's worth; until vineeth places top 8, i'm still the best hakumen in norcal. dacidbro doesn't count until we've played the gayest mirror match in the game.
Skubator Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 qwerty is not a member of the community I care about people who enjoy playing BB and I can enjoy playing against them are. How about we try mutual respect? I mean, it sounds crazy, but just because qwerty doesn't play BB doesn't mean he doesn't deserve respect. Responding to people with unabashed aggression towards other players is not going to win you any friends. To be fair, qwerty could bash on BB a little less, but I haven't seen much of it lately. As well, when he bashes he usually has a point. And I don't think I've ever seen him just out and out attack someone. Either way, quit acting like a child.
Chun Posted December 10, 2010 Author Posted December 10, 2010 As for logistics into the future games, I've done a good amount of thinking on it, no worries. It's going to take a test or two but afterwards I think I'll have a pretty solid schedule of sorts that won't be unreasonable. Though I really have to stress the timeliness of everyone in the upcoming months. If I hope to lock-down sponsorships, I won't have the luxury to wait for everyone to show up, as much as I'd like to. Best to start habits early and come an hour before what I usually schedule. ~Chun
