YukiBlue Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 Hazama. Easier with Square gate or Octagonal gate? I've got my TE cracked open here with 2 gates. And I dont know which is better....
Zeron_X25 Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 if I had any experience with sticks, I would have told you.
ZeroRaider Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 Thats all in opinion, but my opinion is the square gate is better.
mikenapalm Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 I learned stick on octagonal gates and switched to a square gate when I got my first stick. I greatly prefer the square gates. My inputs feel faster and more precise and it's easier to feel corners out for TKs and 3Cs. But hell try them both out for a week and see how you like each one. It's your stick, it should be how you like it. It's not like gates are all the hard to change.
Dacidbro Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 So recently I beat the best Hazama in America, WhiteboyWilly, in tournament
ZeroRaider Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 (edited) South America.....maybe. But still, Willy staying a bit unpredicable is better than simply autopiloting. I'll give him that. Edited July 7, 2011 by ZeroRaider
Zeron_X25 Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 So recently I beat the best Hazama in America, WhiteboyWilly, in tournament Yo I heard Willy doesn't even play this game.
Fluck Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 Yo, Willy doing combos with same move proration chains. Even Youtube knows not to do that
Guymam Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 So recently I beat the best Hazama in America, WhiteboyWilly, in tournament lolno Also, I thought I'd just let you all know that Noel is a faggot character and is perfect for people who need a crutch and aren't very good at this game. If you are good and you pick Noel, then props to you, but most of the Noels I've seen are really shitty but for some reason it fucking works. Yes I mad. Stay mad me.

Fluck Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 Finish your combos, problem solved. Also do optimal combos :3
Dacidbro Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 Yo guymam stay mad even when you have a positive matchup against Noel Meaning your character is more bullshit Hold that I stand by my statement that WBW is best Hazama in America cause he's got spirit
Zeron_X25 Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 Yo guymam stay mad even when you have a positive matchup against Noel Meaning your character is more bullshit Hold that I stand by my statement that WBW is best Hazama in America cause he's got spirit Whoever the fuck told you that?
Dacidbro Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 Yeah I guess the super latest tier list from japandesu says even. MY TURN TO HOLD THAT But he still has universally stronger matchups so still hold it
Zeron_X25 Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 It ALWAYS was even since CS2 tier lists came out. And good luck autopiloting Hazama. No seriously. Try it. Come back and tell me if 2D won you any games.
Dacidbro Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 You can't seriously tell me you can't find anything to autopilot with Hazama? This character is fucking nonsense lol If a Noel mashing 2D is beating you, you're FUCKING UP SO BAD.
Zeron_X25 Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 No I don't lose to Noels that mash drive. I'm saying Hazama doesn't have damage mid screen without meter or counter hit. If your opponent gets hit by CH 3C, there's something wrong there. And as for the autopilot thing... no. Tell me what's autopilot about Hazama and I'll answer you. Hazama is nonsense? Do you honestly think every Hazama is Buppa or some shit? His pressure isn't that good at all and you have to haul ass for damage. His combos are more execution heavy than some of the cast and they require meter. That means you have to do the same 1.7k midscreen combo over and over again to get meter and then you could pose a threat. Have you even played a Hazama other than Willy? lol Edit: I'd like to add that we both know this is an opinion-heavy subject. If you want to discuss this further, you have to realize that I might never agree with you on this subject and vice-versa.
Dacidbro Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 (edited) If your opponent gets hit by a frame trap there's something wrong there? When he has some of the strongest advantage on normals/most easily resettable stagger pressure of almost anyone in the game? Yeah, sure. Hazama's offense is autopilot. His ability to constantly reset his pressure with absolutely no thought and be easily safely be paid for it is way too strong right now. Your opponent is forced to make risky reads, which can lead to traps like 2C counter hit and 3C counter hit, or just a simple knockdown. I don't really think you understand this character, so I'm just going to say watch more Shima, Buppa, or Zidane or something. And please, when making such ridiculous arguments like "My S tier character is less autopilot than an A tier character", don't be so condescending in your post. It makes you look really bad. EDIT: By the way, Willy doesn't USE any of the autopilot things that make Hazama good. That's why he's a -scrub-. I bet I could learn this character in 2 days and do better than I currently do with Bang. Edited July 7, 2011 by Dacidbro

EDIT: By the way, Willy doesn't USE any of the autopilot things that make Hazama good. That's why he's a -scrub-. Which reset would that be? The overhead reset? You can mash out of that for free every time. If you see stance, it's immediately punishable if you have the reactions. You can jump out of most of his pressure and his command grab is his biggest threat in pressure strings. You shouldn't be mashing in anyone's pressure to begin with so I dunno why the hell you would ever get hit by a "frametrap" 3C. That's rediculous. 3C is such a risky move that without Jabaki, you'd get blown up every minute. Jabaki knocks the opponent away and completely ending any and all pressure that you have. If someone mashes after Hazama does a 3C, they're idiots. Seems to me you just don't know the Hazama matchup because you're saying shit that makes no sense. And no, Willy's "scrub"-iness doesn't come from not doing frametraps/pressure. It comes from being absolutely clueless what to do with Hazama and more clueless when it gets to combos. It's like getting is corner 6D with bang then doing 5a 5b and then finishing the combo there. And you need to check your info once more because last I checked, Hazama and Noel were ALWAYS in the same tier and Noel was always one to the left of Hazama whether horizontal order mattered or not. Right now, Hazama is considered to be A-tier along with Noel. Oh and did I forget that you don't "get paid for" by Hazama's stance overhead in CS2 anymore? Well other than Tager and Hakumen. 5B is plus and so is 2a. All his other normals besides 6B are negative or neutral (those being 5a and 6C) and nobody uses 6B because it is so slow and you can jump out of it. You know what that means? That means know when to mash and it's definitely not when he's doing 2a 5B. "My S tier character is less autopilot than an A tier character" That's because you were countering Guymam's rage post by saying: Hazama is more of a bullshit character than Noel. To that which I thought I had to reply. I'm done for now. Peace out. Teach me some Bang later.
