Is it possible to get a proper relaunch combo off a RC'd Mizuchi? I tried doing 214D~C > 66C > 5C > 2C > 6D~A > 4D~A > j.7D~A > 623D > etc. but it blue beats at the j.7D every time for me. I'm not sure if it was because of proration or because I'm just timing it poorly. I can't do the relaunch consistently under normal conditions yet, so I'm thinking its just me not doing it right.

Yes it is possible. I've done it in matches. Not sure what you're doing wrong.

I have a bit of a n00bish question.

Is it possible to chain Hungry Coils from a Rising Fang and maintain it as a red number combo without Rapid Cancelling?

It will combo if Rising Fang was a Lv2.

Usually Rising Fang (if the move you're referring to is 214D~B) has to counter hit in order for it to combo into anything. You're better off just doing 6D~A>623D>Dash 3C>Hungry Coils, instead of trying to do a risky thing like 214D~B>Hungry Coils right away (if that is what you were trying to say).

1. It combos if 214D~B is a level 2.

2. It catches people who don't barrier and resets into another combo.

3. Hungry Coils = 623D so... 3C > Hungry Coils makes no sense. lol

What're some good blockstrings for Hazama? My pressure is severely lacking.

You've gotta make your opponent respect your shit before you can mix them up. Too many people will just try mashing anything and everything.

2A 2C for example will stop people from jumping out or pressing a button, with the exception of Hakumen's D.

2A 2A dash 2A is great to set up for a tick command throw or a mix up.

Here's some stuff that LK wrote in my notebook about good pressure with Hazama:

5A 2B > throw

5B 214DA

Dash 2A 214DA- beats throw tech

214DA 214DA- beats 360

5B jump forward J2DD 236C

Dash 2B 236C

5B 2A

2AA dash 2A 2C

2A 5C

2A 2C 3C 236D

3C delay 236D- 50% meter RC> do whatever.

do voodoo magic and yell very loudly at your screen. that's also not 6C it's 6HS

That game is dead. We don't discuss it anymore.

I know it won't be easy but I have always wanted to play Hazama. What are some tips on picking him up. I can already do all the commands on both sides and I have a feel for his movement.

So...uh..new to Hazama. I can't seem to figure out how to dash 5C, causing me to try and do another 6C, which doesn't work. Right now I'm using combos like 3c(CH),214D~C. 6C, 3c, 236D/Throw super, but it's probably not doing as much as I could be. So...yeah..any tips?

You need to finish the dash and then press 5C. Don't hold forward when pressing a button. Double tap and press 5C.

Just tried that. Seems to work better(although Ragna seems to tech before the 5C more often then not). Still hard as heck to play Hazama on a DS, but I'm trying! xD

Try doing 66 4C this way you'll always get 5C instead of 6C. Note that this won't work if you're playing a character that has a 4C normal.

That's just overcomplicating things. Just knowing that you have to let go of forward when pressing C is enough info.
