I updated the thread.

CrazyI go to sleep.

Why am I up? I am sick and spent a good deal of yesterday sleeping so updating the thread now was something I chose to do.

FYI I am suffering because of this illness.

6A will never beat any air move as long as it is jump cancel friendly.

Correction. CS Tager could IB in between Ara ground strings and IAD j.B to punish potentially fatal mixups. Now if frame data is still relevant to CS (Probly not)

IAD j.B is unpunishable on block. 6A 5D is now a true blockstring etc etc etc

Free curse on block against non reversal characters. Hooray. Can't even jump out with a 6f jump.

6a >5d is not a true blockstring, and Tager never needed to IB it to punish it, no character with a reversal never needed to IB it, it just made it easier. He can 360a or a sledge the 5d before the hitbox comes out.

The only change to 6a was it's start up, maybe it's a few frames slower, nothing has been revealed concerning the final changes to 6a according to the jp wiki.

6a is still even on block. 5d is still 17f start up. IBing it still puts Arakune at a disadvantage and it can still be hit through.

I was correcting him, Arakune's 6a is pretty dame safe, even on block and jump cancellable on contact.

Yep, I just misunderstood.

The 5D (Kune) cancel after 6A is safe too. You can interrupt it, but that's just a guess on Tager's part, and one where the odds aren't in your favor.

It's slightly safe, most Arakunes would autopilot it anyway, it's a 2f reversal window, that's most DPs, A Sledge and 720.

Actually when Ara jump cancels 5D we have an answer to it, hell when he does 5D you can punish it.

Punish 5D? 360A or Sledge.

Both will work but here's the thing.

You gotta buffer them out right before 5D hits you.

How to punish Ara for jump cancelling 5D?

IB the 5D and now you got options lets see?

2A/2C if he tries to j.b you after it, hell a late backdash can punish autopilot 5A on landing.

If he is jumping back to bait and punish then your gonna punish accordingly.

This should apply in CS2, since only certain moves got changed as far as I am concerned.

Am I the only one here who is totally jaded with Arakune?

FYI Backdashing Ara is not all that safe so please please don't think its gonna always work, its like a gimmick.

Oh and there are cases in which 2A can't punish/trade with j.B.

But off 5D its usually enough if you IB it.

Oh and keep in mind Ara's j.D still does not trade.

lol that rachel was so bad :(

I'm scared to see a good Rachel vs a Tager tbh, I haven't seen one yet though. And god, damage off of back throw is so bad now.

edit: I was hoping so hard the GF at the end of round 1 vs the Makoto would kill her. no dice =(

its less of a problem unless the rachel forks you, or cat chars you, or any other not projectile attack... havent seen the other two vids you posted, but in the first one it only worked because she did lobelia to pumpkin, if she had done any regular move id bet hammer would have lost to it.

is it normal that the only VS taokaka movie is in fact a tager mirror and the tager mirror a vs tsubaki.. it confuses me :psyduck:

also am i the only one thinking that tager never wins or if he does it's because the other player did something unsafe or got gimmick'd

AAAAH I thought I fixed that. hold on let me edit that.

Oh a interesting observation:

5A>5B>3C>5B>22D works.

Must be the vertical hitbox increase on gadget finger.

5B adds damage.

I hope this eliminates the tiny issue I had with connecting gadget at max 3C range on some characters.
