An on that note sure tager cant move out the way but... if he lets go of block just before Brio hits then brio will send him flying away & saving him. Cause brio is carls worst option for comboing, especially in CS2. With that said wouldn't it be smarter to do 8D instead since its no longer a UB. An it does 2hits meaning u got more time to do stuff
Mascarpone Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 I'm just wondering if on a planned Air GUard break we have enough time to either hop or Vivace under the opponent and air combo them back into set ups. As for the knock-back you mentioned Akiro, you could probably avoid that problem by just using this set up when you are close enough to the corner to wall bind. Makes it less awesome but still has it's uses.

U have enought time to combo , Lets say Air guard break puts u in O-C-N u can Viv-A/B back into C-O-N then go J.2c-allecan>5c>Volante>J.2c-allecan>5c>J.c/J.b>2D>J.2c>J.c>8D>2C Fermata im guessin some where around 3.8k-4.3k
Kyle Posted February 3, 2011 Author Posted February 3, 2011 Brio is (2) hits & cost less Ada meter in comparison to 8]D[. I doubt real badass options will emerge from guard break in the air. Griound tho, would be sweet to loop guard break resets after the opponent burst twice.

Mascarpone Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 I would not call that DP safe. That was good bait and punish. if he hadn't planned that reset and blocked he would have eaten that. Furthermore if ragna had not DP'd that would have gone back into blockable pressure, so it's really neither of those things. However that still was pretty sexy mix up and reset. It seems like we're discovering that Carl really does have some chutzpah. just, as was from the jump of CT -> CS, completely different from what we're used to.

The strange thing for me is that now it look that not so many people pick Carl in Cs2, its kinda hard to find new matches with him now and more hard to find him winning. Too much Noel, Makoto, Valk. I suppose that Jap people are more focused to use Carl unblockeable setups. The only stuff i want now is that it will be able to perform atleast some 5K dmg combo. No 3.6k was the dmg, that might as well be 4k & u could have did J.b>J.2c>allegreto>8D>(3c>Cantata) or (2c>Fermata) after the Brio>5c, & thats 5k Xp so hush. That was just an example. Also, for these corner combos, you can fermata after the cantata for a extra 1k damage I'm guessing. Unless Carl should be saving his meter for rapids this time around. Edit: I think it works midscreen too, It worked in CS1. If Ada is a little bit further ahead of you, you can link Cantata into Fermata. Edited February 12, 2011 by Akiro
