Interms of whether its good or not, the worst I every hear anybody say about it is that LOOKS boring. Its one of the few games where the quality of the game isn't looked too down upon. I don't play it though. Happy Birthday Stick. Pretty much it's what I hear often in terms of criticism. Regardless of hate and crap, I like the game personally and trying to do well in it. Oh and happy birthday old geezer.

At least xfc is good for EVERY character. SF4 is to OG SF what MvC3 is to OG VS series. The difference is you, to my knowledge, aren't that big on traditional SF to begin with. Whereas people who were, are more inclined to look past the flaws of SF4 and see familiarites with the type of play they used to enjoy. Now, seeing as you grew up a fan of VS games, you're more likely to do the same thing with MvC3. Truthfully, neither game is perfect, but, they both deliver what the people that play them want, just with a side of added stupid bullshit.
