Airk Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 when konan plays a noel, l noticed that he likes to keep at a specific distance, out of noel's range almost entirely but also out of tsu's normal range. what is that about? besides [d] and charging star, l don't see how he can start a good offense from that range. unless he's opting to just react to noel instead? Well, there's also 214X series at that range, though I don't see him using it much, that's pretty much the ideal range for it if you can get a read on something your opponent is going to do. And a little closer is 22X counterhit fishing range.
HajinShinobi Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 8/24 Sakamoto Ryouma (RG) vs Gomikuzu (TS) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Zx-e2vjME8 Ugh, I really dont like the Tsu vs Ragna matchup. Even if it is the one I have the most experience with..
Kiba Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 It was a good match. Smartly played by Gomi with just a few mistakes. It was still good nonetheless.
C0R Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 when konan plays a noel, l noticed that he likes to keep at a specific distance, out of noel's range almost entirely but also out of tsu's normal range. what is that about? besides [d] and charging star, l don't see how he can start a good offense from that range. unless he's opting to just react to noel instead? He's simply taking advantage of Tsubaki's longer normal. The range when dash buffered easily extends out that far. He wants Noel dead, 5b. If Noel tries something funny, 5b. Walking in and out of the range of the opponent's range of action is probably the highest level skill one can implement.
Cooldudenotu Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Could someone explain to me what's going on right here? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sP9w04x6x-g#t=19m50 Is this a kara air throw, something exploitable with tsubakis air throw range, or just a glitch in the video?

Just lovely Blazblue air throw hitboxes
Osmond Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Could someone explain to me what's going on right here? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sP9w04x6x-g#t=19m50 Is this a kara air throw, something exploitable with tsubakis air throw range, or just a glitch in the video? No glitch here bro, too much justice on the field caused reality to bend
Airk Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Airthrows have massive hitboxes in CS2. Basically, she caught the hurtbox at the end of Hakumen's leg as he was airdashing.
Airk Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 So... it's not entirely clear to me, but it sortof doesn't seem like the recently released Ragna Tutorial video was ACTUALLY done by the people who were originally intending to work on this project (Spirit Juice et al); Since we have a couple three talented video creators here, I'm wondering if it wouldn't be better at this point for us to take matters into our own hands? Yeah yeah, Extend is coming, but it won't even launch in Japan for another two and a half months, and I expect a pretty significant lag time on it coming stateside. Of course, it's easy for me to say "lets do it" since I'm not the person who'll be doing the work, but...well, I've really liked this idea from the start, and the Ragna video, minus a few small issues, was pretty darn good. All I ask of whoever does the actual legwork is PLEASE PLEASE let me review your text before you finalize. KayEff had a couple of lines in there that really made me cringe.
BatousaiJ Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 I don't think I'm making another Tsubaki video until extend comes out. There are simply too many things on my plate these days including other games a heap of RL issues I need to deal with. Dae or someone else can handle it if they wish though. When extend hits though, I might pick up the Vita version to see if I can get some capture off of that for some videos early before we get our hands on it on the consoles. We'll see though~
Daedron Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 I was actually thinking about doing something like that after I made the combo video, especially now that Ragna has one and the fact that there are lots of pages of information we already have in the tutorial video thread, but nothing ever happened. I have lots of free time so I should probably be able to get it done pretty quickly as well. Of course, I'll need at least some help with this and the text needs to get proof-read. Not like I'm some tournament player or anything
Kiba Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 I will give you as much input as I can with the video provided there is actually stuff to say. Players in the Valk section are doing as well, but I feel like a sitting duck.

Kiba Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 I have the that second combo engraved in my head now. Will definately be doing that from now on. Good stuff with the games Bat. Damn those upsets.
HajinShinobi Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 (edited) It really makes me sad when Jin can DP (C version) through our distortion. Has happened to me twice now.. On the other hand, those were some pretty good matches BatousaiJ. Thats one dangerous ass Jin. EDIT: I just watched that combo vid. I agree with you about that second combo, Kiba. Now I've gotta new midscreen combo to use to rack up 4k+. Also you can cut it abit short for 3.5k+ if you only have one bar of charge. 5BB 5CC - 623C - 214A(w) - j.C - 236D - 214A(w) - 6C - 623C - 214A(w) - 2CC 22C - dash 5C 2C - 236B 214B 22B Edited September 28, 2011 by HajinShinobi
pktazn Posted September 28, 2011 Author Posted September 28, 2011 S.E. usually puts the notations to his combos at the end of his vids (at least that's what he did for his Noel combo movies) if that helps anyone.

pktazn Posted October 4, 2011 Author Posted October 4, 2011 Thanks Kiba! Dunno if this really has to be said but once Extend comes out I'm going to make a new video thread. It's a good thing too because we reached the character limit for some of the posts holding videos lololol
