Ok, so update with Frubble. I got a return email saying that it was "something we can work out." The guy wanted to know what games we play and whether or not we have a facebook page he can look at. I'm assuming we don't want to make a page just for this, and that the SoCal General FB page wouldn't really fit considering how few of SD people are in it, so I'm just going to say we plan on playing BB/GG and thats about it.

But it does seem like we might be able to get our proper time slot. Rejoice!

Here we go with me getting my ass beat with my Dizzy. Time to dust off the game and train more with her. But first things first, train for my school's KOF tourney.

Sorry, can't go with you guys to Revo, so much going on around my family during the weekends this month and the beginning of March.

I said this before, my school, The Art Institute of California - San Diego, is having their BB tourney, no money involved, just having fun (and bragging rights), on Friday, March 16th at 12PM. If you guys are available, just give me a call.

Aww, I hope you can get your passport Wallice. I will be entering no matter how many people end up going from SD since it's free entry and I already have my passport.

Good stuff at Sanoshicon. I had fun, despite playing disappointingly bad. Hope you guys had a good time chilling out after I left.

So I guess Shtkn is gonna host this week then since we skipped it for a week. I'm going to try and see if we can have our first Frubble meetup the Friday after next.

Oh and I still need my KoF back Shtkn.

I didn't get to play, but I had the best time ever listening to the alcohol-assisted convo last night.

Plus I got a lot out of watching Severin and James play and asking them questions, so it was pretty productive.

I ended up not leaving till 4:45-ish, so the drive back was sort of painful though. It got into a pretty heavy fist-fight between me and sleep about halfway through.

That said, it's more the boredom that does me in than anything, so I'm usually fine if I can stave that off.

Ok. Getting finalized with Frubble. They cannot have us there this week because apparently the box arena and some outfit called the traveling circus are having a big thing over the weekend and will be setting up on Friday. But I was told the Friday after would be ok, so it looks like our first gathering at Frubble will be on March 2nd. I asked some people on Dreamcancel about their experience with Frubble and the bottom line of it is: the privilege of using their place for events is for paying customers only, meaning you need to buy something. They do the boba thing, if you're into that, and also have sandwiches or something. I'm sure we can all find something we can spend a few bucks on every time we go to give back to the venue that is hosting us.

For people without cars, like Watermelonz, we'll have to provide them with rides. Watermelonz, if you're interested in going to these I'll be happy to drive you there and back. Just let me know in advance whether or not you will be coming. If I get there day of and find a post at 7:30 saying people want to show up, I won't be coming back for them.

So I will be hosting this week. Same setup as usual, 5PM-11PM. This time I'll be rather strict about the timing since we'll probably all have to get up and go to Revolution the day after. This may be our last non-Frubble gathering. I'm definitely pleased that our scene has grown enough that we're able to move it out of our places and into someplace new.

And as another reminder Shtkn, remember to bring my KoF back please.

EDIT: DISREGARD (Almost) EVERYTHING I was just reading the Revolution thread, and it seems Xie is planning a meetup at Super Arcade on Friday. Do we just want to scrap our gathering this week and head up to that instead?

That sounds like fun. If we can arrange a carpool or something I wouldn't mind heading to Super Arcade on Friday, I just don't want to drive up two days in a row, haha.

Ok so, we're 100% good with Frubble. They just need to know one more thing: what are we gonna call the event. Does anyone have any opinions or should we just call it "San Diego Blazblue casuals" or something like that? Remember, our first Frubble gathering is March 2nd 7PM to closing.

Glod, my passport is coming in like a week to two weeks and Xie said that was cool in the Revolution thread, so I'm good for BBR. I posted on the SoCal FB page asking if anyone would be interested in filling our third spot. I also think I saw someone post in the Cali thread asking if there was anybody who needed someone, so I'll follow up on all of that tomorrow.

Shtkn, I'll grab it from you at BBR.

Last thing: I won't be doing anything this Friday. My car is acting pretty weird so I'm taking it to the dealership to get it checked out on Friday. That means I won't be hosting. If we all decide to go to Xie's thing at Super Arcade on Friday I can probably make it there, but I won't be able to be back in SD on Friday. Sorry if this inconveniences you guys.

Since it's getting sort of close, let me know what your driving plans are for BBR. I assume Wallice and shtkn are going separately by themselves?

And there's no way I'll be able to make it to Super Arcade on Friday because work, but don't let that stop you if you guys want to go to that this week instead~

Edit: Oh right Wallice, our next mahjong thing is on 3/10 if you're interested. I forgot to mention that we're always on Saturday, so it's understandable if that doesn't work for you, since you're usually up north.

I know we've talked MB a few times, and I'd definitely be interested in mashing P4 Arena, and we've had some people be interested in GG too, so with that port coming out we should probably include that too. I think air dashers is probably the way to go.

I'll probably pass on Friday's meetup and just meet you at your place on Saturday for Revo. I'll also bring my xbox since I barely use it and you can just return it the following Friday.

I have another midterm on the same day as the meetup at Frubble, from 7pm to 10pm. I'll see if I can talk to the professor about taking the exam on Thursday instead.
