I haven't played with you guys in a good while, I've been juggling so many games, I think I just need to pick a few and stick with those. Should I just play P4A until the new BB gets localized here? Needs more AH3 :3

Or I can bring mine, but my USB slots are iffy (they seem to work now though). Also, is there any love for SG down here??? I know Dios X and I play it, but I don't know anyone else here that still does.

You'll see this Friday if you come. Good to see you still play SG. I'm currently redoing my whole team. Are you still maining Valentine? I'm finally deciding to learn Filia, she's ridiculous imo. I still main Fortune/Valentine though. Oh yeah, if anyone is interested, I also have Akatsuki Blitzkampf, Vanguard Princess, that game with "MC Supercuts", and I think I have Ougon Musou Kyoku (not sure). glod Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Chaos code is like anime games and KOF had a weird baby. It's a four button game like KOF, light and strong punch/kick. You can choose 2 extra moves on your character before the match, there are 4 to choose from. 2 are specials, 2 are supers, but you can choose both specials, both supers, or one of each. It has some really weird (but in my opinion cool) characters but who really cares about anyone that isn't Bravo. Roa has it, maybe he'll let you guys try it tomorrow.
Mightfo Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 (edited) "chaos code is like anime games and kof had a weird baby" is a pretty good description. in terms of system mechanics it has EX moves, parries(take a bit of meter and have a whiff but lead into a juggle), a max-mode esque thing, choice between dashes and runs, no airblocking, instant airdashes, lenient ABCD chains, rolls, double jumps, air tech, high jump cancel(out of normals and runs iirc),and special->super cancel(for one more stock iirc). imo design of normals for a lot of charas is kof reminiscent and the combos you do at max meter are similar to silly hyperdrive mode/whatever mode combos. aside from long tons-o-meter combos, combos are usually basic stuff aside from some juggles(off certain CHs/air hits) i guess. lenient chain system and you have a GIANT input buffer(like 20f) so you will never drop links, ever~~ anti airing is sort of weird because you rely on parry(back+C+D so if you do it late no big deal~) which leads into a full juggle, and dragonpunches. normal anti airs arent necessarily bad, it is just that air normals are so good and doing IAD is so good at like mid range that you have to rely on parry/dp to beat that sort of thing consistently. walk speeds and movement in general is really good. i want those walkspeeds in an arcsys game or sfxt neutral feels weird imo, seems hard to play a reactive defense but i dunno. there's lots of weird projectiles though like catherine's bells and iirc almost all projectiles keep going even if the shooter gets hit. there's also teleports, celia-II's teleport is sooo annoying. its really neither anime nor kof in terms of neutral, it just has elements of both(rolls, weird anime projectiles) that create something weird. one thing that i really like about it is that heavy normals on counterhit lead to giant hitstun, so you can seriously do like a typical far HK, link a dash, and then start a combo. makes up for a lot of HKs not being cancellable on block. not that great in range/speed but their hitboxes and reward seem strong. input interpreter isnt quite like kof or anime but are kind of in the middle, i guess cast is quite good imo moveset wise.(and design wise for me but whatever) cthylla, celia, catherine, hermes, and kudlak in particular are interesting. i like the protagonist more than most protagonists gameplay wise. bravo doesnt stand out much in gameplay especially considering what other charas have but i guess if you want a more "normal" grappler than potemkin/tager/cerebella then whatever if you like aspects of anime fgs or KOF you MIGHT like it but no guarantee, at all. btw im bad at the game that's just the information that i learned about it from messing with it/watching it/generally being comparative when i approach fgs blame flod for me posting here ALSO VANGUARD PRINCESS IS FUN AS FUCK EVEN THOUGH ITS WEIRD AND DOESNT HAVE SPECIAL CANCELS.
