pochp Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 @OMAR : thanks for the offer, we'll keep that in mind. We know we're going, but we still don't have a plan nor do we know how many are going, we'll keep you updated. Lol yeah theres gonna be way too much people there tonight. We should maybe have our tournament be 1v1 single elim best of 1 match, or something, but anyways we'll figure it out when we get there and evaluate the situation. Nini, you should register on bibi's site : http://www.sankishin.com/board/ we chat there now.
unsanctifier Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 I figured you guys don't have a plan. This is why you're frayyyyyyy!
kirbster Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 Barrier guard - has been changed the most (knockback, gauge recovery speed, etc) - Now an even better defensive option, but the gauge depletion rate has been increased, so you'll run out if you depend on it too much. - Barriering used to add a fixed amount of knockback in CS2; that has been changed to now be affected by attack level and guard type. - In a nutshell, knockback goes up in increasing order like [iB<Barrier<IB Barrier], and is even larger when used in the air compared to on the ground. - Additionally, barrier guarding an opponent's attack consumes more gauge than before, and it takes longer for the barrier guage to start recovering after use. - However, barrier guarding a primer-breaking move while at 1 primer consumes less gauge than in our current version. New loketest info in BB general... this is exactly what I was asking for xD Also landing a burst doesn't give 25 heat anymore.
pochp Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 I like these changes as well, it looks like there will be a lot of character specific changes as well, I wonder what will happen this time. Blade, go register on biblioteca's website.
unsanctifier Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 Whichever one of you guys I owe money to for ditching the last MTL tourney (i think it was pochp), I got your venue/entry fee covered.
AirMaster Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 It'd help if Bibiquadium actually activated accounts once in awhile....
Bibiquadium Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 I don't activate them, check your emails. could be in spam.
AirMaster Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 ...I swore I read that my account had to be activated by an admin or something similar. Oh well. Sorry about that XD
St1ckBuG Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 Dear MTL, Hi, it's me again. You might have heard there there is some sort of storm called a "hurricane" coming up the east coast of my beautiful country: the Unites States of America. You might also realize that you are visiting the east coast this weekend because of a nerd convention in Philadelphia. Shit could possibly hit the fan. As of right now, NJ will be in a state of emergency. This means a couple things: 1). Starting Saturday evening (sometime before 6PM) and lasting through Sunday, anyone driving on the roads in NJ have the chance of getting pulled over. No one is allowed on the roads. Also, there is a chance that the bridges will be shut down between Philadelphia and New Jersey. This is pretty ass considering the tournaments aren't even planned to start until Saturday afternoon. This would force me to leave sometime Saturday morning. 2). I could potentially not go to Summer Jam at all. So I'm going to let you guys know what I'm thinking about right now since I don't want you getting stranded or hurt. The eye of this hurricane it's probably going to go right up the center of New Jersey. We're going to get pounded. Roads will flood and the winds will be ridiculous. Being on the roads while this storm is over us will be retarded. The storm is going to start sometime Saturday night, and the eye of the storm will be going past us sometime Sunday morning. I'm not sure what your route is to get down here, but just know that this storm will probably be over land for a while. I'm not sure what the best plan of action for you guys is since you need to start driving back Sunday night. By then the roads will probably be flooded. I know you're cool with staying an extra night at the hotel, but that doesn't mean your drive will be any easier with all the flooded roads and other shitty conditions. I want to let you know that if for some reason you are able to drive in New Jersey Sunday, but you don't feel safe driving back to Canada, my parents are cool with you staying at my place until Monday morning. Right now Big Eric (the guy running the tournament) is very optimistic and he CANNOT cancel. Even if only 5 people show up he cannot cancel. The tournament WILL happen, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to be there to run it. It's still too early to tell because I'm not sure if it will be smart for me to drive into Philly just to get stranded for two days. I'll at least be there Friday night into Saturday most likely, but as of right now I probably won't be staying for Saturday night and Sunday. My advice to you all: save your money for NEC (December 3rd-4th). Once again it's your call, but just make sure that if you do decide to come down for this that you plan ahead for every possible scenario. I would even plan for being stranded into Tuesday. That's all I have to say to you guys. Let me know what you end up doing. I'll keep you updated on my end. Edit: If you need to contact me, just ping my name in #blazblue on irc.efnet.net
Sophisticat Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 Damn, this hurricane sounds like it's going to suck for the Summer Jam guys. I got rained-on on my end, too. Motorcycle closed-course test today and had to wait 4h only to get it cancelled because of rain. I've just spent the last 8h running around MTL on no food. FFUUUU... Anyway, if Irene's got major PMS or something I'd say it might be safer not go out. It sucks, but getting stranded ain't cool. :\ ----- Otherwise, Happy B-Day AM! I won't be on for the next couple days, so wishing it early. Have a good un'. :D
kr3wman Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 (edited) my passport expired very recently, so I wont go. anyways, I need to find a part-time job, you guys know anywhere they're looking for poor students to work? Edited August 26, 2011 by kr3wman
pochp Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 Look around for a grocery store, there are probably students that quit their job to focus on their studies.
pochp Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 @NINI & LEVEL5-CHAN : CALL ME OR BRICE WHEN YOU SEE THIS, THERE'S A 90% CHANCE WE'RE GOING TO CANCEL FOR SUMMER JAM, WE'LL TAKE THE FINAL DECISION TOMORROW MORNING. PLEASE CALL BEFORE YOU LEAVE. IF I DON'T HEAR FROM YOU I WILL STILL GO TO THE MEETUP SPOT (TERMINUS LONGUEUIL) AND DRIVE YOU HOME IN CASE WE CHOSE TO CANCEL. REASON : IT'S NOT WORTH THE RISK/REWARD.
Level5-Chan Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 What time do you want us to call you? Is it ok at 7:30am
pochp Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 lemme think one sec. level5 tu peux tu m'appeller? ou t'as tu skype? (si oui add moi, Pedro Szaszkiewicz-Rodriguez) blade are you trolling? don't tell me you tldr'd st1ckbug's post lol.
BladeOfJustice7 Posted August 26, 2011 Author Posted August 26, 2011 blade are you trolling? don't tell me you tldr'd st1ckbug's post lol. Well yea, his second post that is. I guess I'll go read it then -__-
BladeOfJustice7 Posted August 26, 2011 Author Posted August 26, 2011 Read his post, I don't know why it took you guys so long to decide not to go lol. But good decision nevertheless by your part Pedro.
pochp Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 That's because we already payed for the hotel and venue fees, we took time off of work, and practiced really hard for it.
