Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza? O.O This thread is filled with amazing food and drinks I wish I could try

You were lured into thinking we played games, but actually all we ever do is drink soda and make donation drives so people can come over and trashtalk our sodas. SORRY.

Meetups are tuesday, thursday and sunday, with a clearly superior amount of people on thursday and not very many on tuesdays. Opening hours are on Foonzo's official site, but people tend not to arrive right when it opens so you may need to plan this out specifically with people if you want to not be forever alone. You can always just come over on http://www.sankishin.com/board/index.php and register, allowing you to use the board mini-chat at the bottom of the screen and ask people directly in real time.

So, meetups are on Tuesday, Thursday and Sundays and the best way to get the specific details about each meetup is to hang around the chat on Sankishin. All right then. I guess that answers all my immediate questions. I'm sure I'll need to ask more questions when I'm finally ready to swing by these meetups but that can wait for later. Thanks for the quick reply and helpful info!

EDIT: Oh yeah, I'd be glad to donate to this "Kidnap Circuitous and bring him to Montreal" the donation drive if you need any help. You can send me a PM if you're interested

Really though, you don't need to hold back from coming just so you can train up before. I mean we pretty much have people on all skill levels across many games, and even if there IS a skill disparity most of us don't mind playing anyway. For example, a common setup at Foonzo will have a console with more than two players on it with a rotation so the winner stays on. Everybody gets a shot in due time, so absolutely no one will begrudge you for playing when it's your turn. In the meantime you can observe and learn a lot more that you would about the game than by staying at home. Actual feedback from the people you play goes a loooong way compared to training mode. (disclaimer: you do need to train up on combos in-between if you lack in those areas, but that can come later, and people will be able to direct you towards the appropriate resources)

Like, OK, let's give an example. The first time I went was in january last year. BlazBlue CS Extend had just come out in Japan but I wasn't dedicated enough to import it like the local guys did, so I went and played a game I did not even know how to play. But who cares? General consensus was people were happy to see a new member and I had fun. So, this is your decision, but I'd rather you come than stay at home because you're intimidated or whatever.

I can always steal Airmaster's dew that he brought in from the states at Winter Brawl. Let's just hope he doesn't read this :lordknight:

Admittedly, the training is mostly for me more than anything else really. Getting better at fighting games is an interesting puzzle I've been trying to solve for the last 2 years, especially since I have execution handicaps that don't seem to be going away no matter how much time I spend playing people or in training mode. I want to spend a bit more time trying to solve this puzzle with all that I've learned in the last 2 years.

Blue Mountain Dew must be one of those very bad drinks, like Blue Pepsi back then.

It tastes kinda like Mountain Dew, but replace all the green flavor with blue raspberry and some other stuff. I dunno, it's good. It's also more of a blueish purple than just blue. You should try it out if you get a chance.

Proof that Montreal is an inherently cool place: the noob I've never even spoken to is willing to help me out. I frickin' love you guys, I really do.

Nor do we, I seriously thought I could have been contributing solo (besides tourney entrances of course) with this whole thing, one post and people are going in on this. I'm not taking credits or anything for this btw, I just think it's really cool.

Just came back home, it's a bit late, I just want to archive this so I don't forget. (as well as the people involved)

There was 10 entrants tonight, that makes for 10$

Heartless gave me 50$ (not so heartless now you liar <3)

Air Didn't bother to get his 5$ change back from WB gave 5$

I'm not sure atm how/where to send this to circuitous, send me a PM or something I'm so lazy at the time of writing this

If there's anything at all that I can do to return the favor, let me know.

I hear you are pretty good at drawing.

If it would be possible, I would like some poster of Kokonoe or Bullet X Kokonoe.[With color if possible]

Besides that request, just have fun with us at the event.

We can all help you solve that puzzle.

Their will be execution problems if you are training on a HD TV and playing people online at home.

We have lagless setups on every station, you will require to train on them to get use to the feeling of those monitors.

Training alone is one thing but training with the people at Foonzo is a awesome experience that you can't miss.

I swear you will get better faster with us helping you.

So come on down to Foonzo when ever you feel like it.

I would also like to know what character you play.

So we might tell you who to talk to for information & guidance.

Just a heads up. My 50$ was donated and DerQ has that money.

Just to make sure that DerQ does not forget that I gave him the $ x N.

Nice meet up tonight and shout outs to our awesome waiter of the night.

Awesome evening. Kirby wasn't lying when he said he'd take care of our bodies. Good shit, JF.

I need to step my BB game up. I'm not stomping people like I should with S-Tier Haku. :(

GG still the best game, though. Getting better at those Slayer links. I doubt I'll be doing 80% combos anytime soon, but I'm prepped for +R. :]

Now you guys make me want to pitch in to help Circ out too. I'll get back to you guys (DerQ?) on that sometime tomorrow (or later today).

Never did get the hang of drawin' lady parts, but I do love Kokonoe... I'll see what I can do.

Isn't that usually first priority/the motivation to learn drawing in the first place?
