Bibiquadium Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Talk to the Montreal Gundam scene, AKA Airmaster.
AirMaster Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 (edited) I've had the G-Sound edition pre-ordered since day 1. Got three other people for the regular edition as well. Also, sorry about forgetting SamSho6 Dhaos. I'll bring it on sunday. Edited November 29, 2013 by AirMaster
RurouniLoneWolf Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Team tourny was pretty great to watch last night. Kirbster was unstoppable :P Thanks again for the matches, Rhannmah. Slowly but surely, I'm started to get better at doing the instant overhead in a real match. Though, only the last one was as low to the ground as I wanted it to be. My latest experiments for neutral didn't go as well as I hoped though. Need to think of other stuff and get a better idea of the spacing for those j3DBs that worked.. It was also my first time playing against Izayoi so it was great to get some practice for this matchup too. I have a lot to reflect on concerning this MU and I definitely need to do some research on Izayoi blockstrings this weekend because blocking your mixups when you got into GA mode was true despair, lol.

It was also my first time playing against Izayoi so it was great to get some practice for this matchup too. I have a lot to reflect on concerning this MU and I definitely need to do some research on Izayoi blockstrings this weekend because blocking your mixups when you got into GA mode was true despair, lol. about Izayoi pressure, there's basically holes everywhere. I always have to keep guessing because if you just hold up-back you'll escape if i do 66j.c into 66j.c. Then again, if i go into 2b from 66j.c you'll get hit, so that's where the guessing comes from. Rachel isn't very mobile so that makes it a lot easier for Izayoi to start her mixup than other characters, but if you don't get in that position in the first place, which is relatively easy against Izayoi because she doesn't have a good neutral game, you just avoid the problem completely. You can also use cat chair, but it's risky. As for Rachel's instant overheads, you need to be winding straight down instead of doing j3d. The moment you get someone to block a pumpkin or a frog at close range, you can go straight into j.2da > b, and there's fuzzy guard setup from there if they block it - you either touchdown and go 2b, or jump again and the wind will still be in effect so you'll be in range to hit with j.a. But before that, you need to work on your neutral game and getting your zoo out. Figure out when to summon the pumpkin; when you make them block a lobelia, when you make them block sword iris, after a 3c ender midscreen (better than frog). When you got pumpkin coverage you can do pretty much everything you want, it gives you the means to safely summon a frog and start throwing lobelias without fear of being rushed down since if they do, you can just wind the pumpkin straight in their face. From there, the point is to make them block frog so you can go into your instant overhead mixup.
RurouniLoneWolf Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Wow, really? It felt like the pressure was pretty airtight to me. Guess I really do need to some research. Though , what you said about not getting into that situation to begin with also makes sense and I sort of felt that way yesterday too but I still don't quite got a grasp on all of Izayoi's options when she enters GA so it was a bit difficult to do. Oh, I was referring to doing j3dbs from neutral when I mentioned it earlier. I do the motion you described for instant overheads but I have 2 left feet for execution so it's kind of hard to do sometimes ;.; What you said about pumpkin summon after 3c ender makes a lot of sense. Last night, I was trying to think of a way to get you to not roll tech so george could activate but summoning pumpkin instead pretty much solves that problem entirely. And I agree with you about my neutral game. I'm actually very displeased with my Rachel's neutral right now. I'm going to try and give your advice about how to get the pumpkin out more thought this weekend. Sam covered some of these opportunities with me before but I find it's hard to get these opportunities in a match, especially when the round begins. The beginning of the round is probably when I feel my neutral is the biggest ??? right now. Thanks for all the advice, Rhannmah! I've got a lot more to think about this weekend.
Rhannmah Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 The beginning of the round is probably when I feel my neutral is the biggest ??? right now. This is normal. Rachel is quite a weak character at neutral when she has nothing out. The beginning of the round is a pivotal point for her, because you can get rushed down before you can get anything out and get put in a very disadvantageous position right off the bat. Although, keep in mind that Rachel's anti-air(6a) is probably the best anti-air in the game; it beats everything from the front and even some from the back and leads to a corner carry combo on any counter hit. Also, her j.c prevents anyone to win air combat with her when they are above her; it beats pretty much everything and leads to a ground juggle combo from any hit when you have wind and jump cancel available. Those two attacks are Rachel's best tools at neutral, abuse them.
RurouniLoneWolf Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Hmmm, I see. I've never actually tried using jC in neutral that often. Maybe I should give it a try some time. Thanks again for all the advice ^,^
samthegreat Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Again if you have more questions don't hesitate to ask, unlike we don't bite.
DerQ Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 we don't bite. You're not the boss of me, I'll bite all I want
oDHAOSo Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Just bought myself an evo monitor for Black Friday. Now I'll have a hype lagless setup wherever I go!
Sophisticat Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Results : 1. Team NEC (Brice Kirbster ) Cops should have been called; this team is illegal. :P ------- Awesome night yesterday. Finally got the Haku loop going, and got in some good matches. I'm getting the hang of CP Hakumen, even if he's not what we Haku players really want out of the character. I'll keep maining him just because there's no one else who does it for me. And special shouts to sensei Kaeru for all the advice. My game just got a nice jump! Brice... rematch. Je vais tuer ton Tager un de ces jours. :<
Level5-Chan Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Update from my job! I might go to NEC, but it's a 50-50 chance. Final Update: They, like really, don't want me to go... Sorry, Kaeru, DerQ and everybody at NEC.
Heartless Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Brice... rematch. Je vais tuer ton Tager un de ces jours. :< I can teach you how to defeat Tager. Has a bonus, Kokonoe as well.

AirMaster Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Dat Rameo vs Jimmy bones ft5 money match at Foonzo Did it already happen?
Heartless Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 I see my minions have been putting in some work. I'm very pleased. we don't bite. I lick more then bite.
Sophisticat Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 I can teach you how to defeat Tager. Has a bonus, Kokonoe as well. Please do, sensei! Though right now I need to severely work on my combos. I've been watching some Haku vids and I'm really missing out on some great tech. Maybe I should just take back the Ps3 by force. I haven't properly trained in more than a month.
ReynTime180 Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 I think we need to just have a gathering in a classroom or something to have a detailed session on anti-science tactics
kirbster Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Did it already happen? Yeah, 5-2 jimmy, and then the runback : 5-1 jimmy lol. And then henri beat jimmy 5-3. And first step to beating Tager : don't attack him for no reason. I die a little bit inside everytime I see one of you guys do like dash 2a on him, good lord.
RurouniLoneWolf Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 (edited) Looks like I missed some good matches. Good stuff, Jimmy. Edited November 30, 2013 by RurouniLoneWolf
