He said that the program hasn't been working recently, and that he tried to reinstall it and update drivers but that it didn't change anything. There is a video input pci-e card in the computer so it can't be done with a laptop. So anyways, Thursday I'll put my skills to the test and see what I can do about it, but if not we'll just have to be lucky. @Nolan : did you get your stuff?

Next time ! Yeah, I'm the only organizer that plays BB. You had a very crisp Bang and I was wondering how well my shenanigan-filled Bang would do. I wasn't able to play outside of casuals due to running the event.

My guess is that Windows updates probably made the recording program incompatible, just like until recently my main media play wasn't working on my laptop. It had no audio in this case. I feel like the problem won't be solved in under an hour though, but I'm sure it can be solved. That's the problem with Windows updates. IB4 Nolan says Macs are better than PC. Oh and is anyone willing to lend me their ps2 stick, assuming it works properly?

Try to know exactly what you want to record, so it goes as fast as possible. However I won't be able to go all-out like I do on my stuff, because I wouldn't want to ruin data that isn't mine. (Like I won't try to format and reinstall Windows and/or Linux). Heck I'm afraid to reboot it because even though Cranky told me the password today I forgot it already but it's necessary for system restore so I should probably find a way to remember it Also, eb, did you post the tournament results somewhere?

Sophisticat Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 Pedro, I would suggest first talking with Cranky about what you intend to do, then do a backup of everything before going to town if you really want to go at it. Is the problem specifically with the software, or is there some hardware malfunction? Macs are better than PCs in some respects, such as stability, ease of use, and yes, overall design of both software and computer case ('cause they're purrty. ). I've always found Windows a bit clunkier and less intuitive than OS X. But as far as practicality goes, they're both roughly equal since they can both do pretty much the same thing (though Mac just does it better. ). I'm not a fan of Apple's closed-system mentality, though. I much prefer Google's Android openness in this respect. Note: I've been with Mac since the Apple II so ya'll know I'm Hardcore about Mac, not like these newfangled iPhone hipsters.
