Tone Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 (edited) kinda short notice for the thread, sorry folks but securing the venue for the day took longer than originally planned due to management dodging calls apparently BUT YEAH there will be a tournament on the 5th and I will try and keep things updated for what little time there is until the event THIS EVENT IS NO LONGER BEING HELD AT CLOCKTOWER. IT WILL BE HELD AT THE RAMNATION AKA TYRAM'S HOUSE, WHICH IS AT THE FOLLOWING ADDRESS: 2428 sunrise drive Fairfield, CA 94533 Games: Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Super Street Fighter 4 BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Arcana Heart 3 Times: Sign-ups will start at noon Tournament will start around 3:00 p.m. Entry Fee: Entry fee will be $5 per game (plus $2 venue fee) e.g. If you plan on signing up for both SSF4 and MvC3 you will pay a total of $12 ($5 + $5 + $2 for venue) Payouts: Payouts are as followed unless players agree otherwise 1st Place: 70% 2nd Place: 20% 3rd Place: 10% Rules: - MvC3 - Mostly being played on XBox360 - All Characters are allowed - Normal damage and default time settings - Stages are picked random unless players agree upon a stage - Best 2/3 games - Double Elimination - The winner of each game must stay with their characters/assist types, loser is allowed to change their team completely - SSF4 - Being played on Xbox 360 (mostly) - Best 2/3 games - Winner's/Loser's/Grand Finals will be 3/5 games - Double Elimination - Winners must keep their character, you are allowed to change when you lose a game - Switching Ultras for the 1st game winners is allowed, as long as the winner picks their ultra before the loser picks their character - BlazBlue: Continuum Shift - Being Played on PS3 - Best 2/3 Games - All console exclusive characters are tournament legal (except unlimited characters) - Winner's/Loser's/Grand Finals will be 3/5 games - Double Elimination - Winners must keep their character, you are allowed to change when you lose a game - Arcana Heart 3 - Being Played on PS3 - Best 2/3 Games - All characters allowed - Winner's/Loser's/Grand Finals will be 3/5 games - Double Elimination - Winners must keep their character, you are allowed to change when you lose a game - Winners may change Arcana, but must do so before the losing player in order for them to counterpick. We're also trying to have any side tourneys for people who are interested in other games (GG, CvS2, Low Tier MvC2, etc). Any feedback is welcome, we wanna know what people want to see. While you agreed to one for marvel, I feel like we should do a tager v tao mm here just because clocktower is where it started. Idk how much money I'm going to have though, maybe I just won't enter AH :P

Tone Posted February 25, 2011 Author Posted February 25, 2011 As far as the food situation goes, there's PLENTY of places to eat about 5 minutes away from the venue. If Jay's equipment is up and running, there WILL be a stream for Top 8 of everything, though it'll probably be running Marvel all day outside of that. Due to Marvel involvement, be prepared for MASSIVE amounts of salt and negro rage.

Shitty situation, I really loved the place, and it was a great venue as well. This week's tournament is still going to go down at Ramnation on Saturday, fyi.
