Milln Posted November 1, 2011 Author Posted November 1, 2011 I love this community. Jus' sayin'. Expect a front page revamp this evening. JACKIE GET ON THOSE VIDEOS I NEED TO HEAR THIS COMMENTARY
Jackie Chandler Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 I'm working on them right now, Milln. I wanna get through the SD footage before I get into the stuff with commentary though. The only bad news (sorry Papstr/whoever used his mic) is that my Dad's computer defaulted to recording with the internal mic as opposed to the external one- meaning it didn't record anything worthwhile behind two T.V.s. The good news is that the Turtle Beaches pick up sound so well, the co-commentary (while quieter than the main commentary, obviously) is still audible for the most part. I should have commentary footage up by tomorrow at the latest. :D
Milln Posted November 1, 2011 Author Posted November 1, 2011 Sony Vegas it, if you have it. Access the sound channel/frequency and turn it up. If not, oh wells.
LastStarSaviour Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 (edited) Yo Volpe, got a vid for ya. Had to keep it short or it would've taken a day to upload. but anyway, i'll have to upload them in sections. The quality was actually pretty good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=vbHeDwDSdz4 Edited November 1, 2011 by LastStarSaviour
Volpe-de-Glacio Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 The first one uses too many stars. (I know I ended up wasting a bunch, but I'm trying to fix that.) Second one is nice, I'm definitely picking that up. Third one I still need to work on my super jumps for, which are just ridiculously annoying for some reason. Going from 2c to a super jump was way easier in CS1.
LastStarSaviour Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 (edited) Edit: I'll add the other combos later. So far I got three that work with mid-screen hotaru, i'll also add the mid-screen Tsubaki one as well. Edited November 1, 2011 by LastStarSaviour
Volpe-de-Glacio Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty certain the Hakumen in Zeno vs. Papstr is Klein.
Grimstar Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Milln, next MTN that I show up at... I challenge you to... A HAT OFF!!!! I just ordered a hat that will rival yours, you SILLY MAN!
Jackie Chandler Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 I fixed the Klein vs. Papstr match. Sorry for the confusion. It's hard to keep track of which Hakumen/Ragnas are which sometimes, especially when the match is... Hakumen vs. Ragna. >_> (We had four of each this time around). Thanks for the help guys. :] I'll be uploading more later tonight.
LastStarSaviour Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 I thought i'd have the other combos done but I got lazy and haven't gotten around to it. I'll have to get it tomorrow when I get home.
Mr.Pickle Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 You can't really mix my ragna up with anyone really, its the only one ever with blonde hair and a brown jacket...lol seriously I've only seen one person use it, and that was online.
Milln Posted November 2, 2011 Author Posted November 2, 2011 Opening post has been drastically modified to mirror the hibernation of Milln-sanctioned tournaments for November and December. It now contains useful information about the coming year and what to do to keep busy for the rest of 2011. Please Observe. @Grimstar: You ain't got SHEE ON THIS HAT, SIR
Volpe-de-Glacio Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Is there any way to tell GG's training dummy to tech whenever possible?
Astaroth136 Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 I forgot to shoutout to the Memphis crew. Thank all of you guys for coming up and supporting us. Also, Pickle, thanks for the laughs and the commentary.
Alphakami Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Shouts from last weekend: I love all you gais, even when I wanna wolf bite your faces off. Super special thanks to Memphis and Carolina for coming out. Nice to see old faces (AzurePhoenix) and meeting the SC crew. Thanks for O'Charley's and letting me get my beer on, I really needed that. IHOP or whatever non-serving place is fine by me next time. Volpe: Yes, you can make GG dummies tech. It's in there, I just can't remember where. I only feel old when around the younger FG crowd. I swear the way I look at games, and think of 'how to play 'is totally different from you young'uns. November kicks my ass, and I'll be out of town a few weekends, not sure I can make many/any gatherings.
Jackie Chandler Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 *Sniffs* Hm... What's this new thread smell about? *Checks OP* Haha, I like it. :D Fantastic job Milln. Volpe- I know there is. I think it's somewhere on the "Enemy" tab to the right, and I think you need to adjust a slider located there to tell the enemy which frame to tech on. It's been a while since I messed with it. And because I feel like an asshole for not mentioning it already: Shoutouts to JamsLegs and Shenanigans. Tao players are ALWAYS welcome, and Ragna players unite. I understand you both made quite a trip to participate, and it just didn't feel right not saying anything- so thanks a bunch for coming! Be sure to show up again when you can. It's always cool talking with out-of-staters, and I didn't get the opportunity to talk with either of you really. :[
Milln Posted November 2, 2011 Author Posted November 2, 2011 (edited) Hey, uh... I just found out that there is what seems to be a now-defunct group called "Middle Tennessee Gaming" that seems to have specialized in FPS Games. They have a website and a facebook. I was considering inviting their presence to an event and eventually usurping their site and resources and over time possibly absorbing them into our community and showing them how cool having the word "Needs" in there is. Edit: I sent them an email. I also propose we enter the social networking medium. ITT: Looking towards the future. Edited November 2, 2011 by Milln
Astaroth136 Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Those of you who love creating characters, SC5 is the game for you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GAZTv_7yxoA&feature=channel_video_title
Cyner Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Hey guys, it was great to play again. I didn't get annihilated quite so bad this time so that's nice. Needs more setups though, we didn't have time for the 10,000 friendlies I wanted to play to increase my swag levels. Hopefully Memphis will return not only for Blaz but also for Melee
LastStarSaviour Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 (edited) Glad you enjoyed yourself Cyner. Also, thanks for the talk we had. I may pursue voice acting/or just acting in general still (kind of afraid I may not be good at it though). Also, Volpe do you still want me to make another video or no? LastStarSaviour Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 DoublePostSaviour Mode: Yo Astaroth and Milln, never been too much of a Soul Calibur fan but 5 is looking really good. I don't know that much about the game in terms of mechanics and what-not and i'm not too sure if I would want to pick this game up so any chance you could give me some info on that? It'd be much appreciated.

It'd be much appreciated. What kind of information are you wanting? How 3D fighters compare to 2D fighters? What the characters are like? General speed?
LastStarSaviour Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 My bad, should've been more specific. Just need to know the overall speed and if any characters in that game can satisfy my need for long combos.
Volpe-de-Glacio Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Yeah, dude. They're useful, and even though the first one is 4 magatama I'm probably going to end up using it because nobody expects midscreen hotaru. Already learned the first two, albeit with the second one being a shorter version until I can get super jumping after 2c down.
LastStarSaviour Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 I have an even better combo for mid-screen hotaru I learned. I'll be adding that one in the next vid. Expect it in about an hour or so.
