krazykorean456 Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 (edited) Faust: Faust is all about the zoning. Everything he does to keep you out of getting close to you. Think of him as Dahlsim's inbred brother from another mother twice removed. Faust has some pretty good mid-screen and full screen pokes with lots of rush down potential. Faust can throw items and you have to play on the fly in order to use those items properly. He has mini-Pot, mini-Faust, mini-Robo-Ky, coin, food, hammer, a pan dish and a bomb. Of course each item has different properties to help you out (or to screw you over). Mini-Pot stays on the screen till he gets hit 3 times. Mini-Faust stays on the screen till he gets hit once. Mini-Robo-Ky leaves after getting hit once, but causes more hitstun since it can electrocute your opponents. The coin won't let you call out another item (it basically does nothing). If you, or your opponent, gets the food, it can increase your tension gauge. The hammer can build massive stun if you get hit by it. The pan dish causes hard knock down if you get hit by it. Faust has a pretty decent oki game. He can FD cancel his drill kicks into what's basically an instant overhead. He also has a command grab, and his JD can cross up. Not only is he dangerous far away, but he can be pretty deadly up close as well. His 6HS is also an overhead and can reach pretty far. It can be blocked on reaction, but it doesn't hurt to throw it out to catch your opponents off guard. Faust doesn't have really good wakeup options. So when you get knocked down, LEARN HOW TO BLOCK! Also, the karate chop force break move is a good tool to get out of oki every know and then. It's kind of hard to block since it comes out quick, and if it hits, you get a free combo. I think the drawback of that is it's not safe on block(?) Good Faust players to look on YouTube: RF, Oosaka B, Elvenshadow, Nemo, Senkei, Zinac, Charisma Phil I usually block your mixups I no scare. Please don't get it twisted. At the time we played I too was learning a new character. You never saw the near completed version. You might have came down from "fuck mountain" but don't assume you're gonna just run me over MY STUDENT. Sam, Sam, Sam... I'll need to play the game to decide though. Also, I just read this juicy bit of information from the P4A Wiki: It was hinted that new characters might be added in the future. Viewing the official site's source code reveals a place holder for a character named "Syuyaku", a variant for the word "Shuyaku" meaning "Protagonist" or "Leading Role". P3 protagonist, anyone?
