Bad news guys. I just found out that my video editing software doesn't accept the encoding that my recording equipment uses. I tried converting it so it would, but I lost frames and the sound got messed up. I'm going to start looking for new editing software that does though. This means that I can't edit the video for KotB. However, I can still record your combos and send them to Jackie, so post them up guys!

As for this KotB/MTN video, I haven't heard anything from anybody. The best thing I've heard was from Kyle regarding the DP ladder thing, but he brought that up outside the video discussion. :P COME ON GUYS WTF

EDIT: Also, I just found out component can output up to 1080i/p, and that the Hauppauge can accept inputs of up to 1080p with component. HOW DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS?

I've been messing around with mine. I'll have something lulzy for you by Friday. I figured out to get Klein's possible, today and then had a really long set with Justin, making him hate Yosuke.

@Naimat: Neither me nor Klein are doing a "combo video" thing. We're just doing hilarious setups. Klein's involves an off the top of the screen axe smash.

Component -can- handle 1080p, but that doesn't have anything to do with it never outputting it. It comes from licenses governing BD-ROM A/V which do NOT allow 1080p outputs on analog connectors. The maximum permissible output resolution is 1080i60.

However, this doesn't necessarily means that it slides over to Ps3 and 360 games, as well. It would depend on whether Sony or Microsoft allowed it to happen, which is possible, but unlikely, because then that's one less reason why they'd be able to sell the HDMI compatible console and the only reason people would ask is if they can't afford the higher end console. People with HDMI ability but wanting to run things 1080p on Component would be very few in number, so it wouldn't make sense for the companies to spend extra R&D and licensing fees to allow something no one would use.

So the short answer is: Yes, it can, but it never will unless you are the source. Like maybe a 1080p camera or something, and even then it's maybe.

To reiterate what I said tonight, I can see the utility and benefits to making good reads with Akihiko, but I still think it might be more in your favor to learn another character who can capitalize easier/better off those reads. Either way, I appreciate the chat tonight, and feel like I learned a lot about Akihiko and stuff. :D

Either of the Narukamis could have cancelled into Cross Slash at any time and caught the other on the way down. But I guess you have to do it kinda fast, which may be why neither tried.

I'm just going to stick with Akihiko. It reminds me of CT Bang. Lots of bad matchups, heavily depended on good reads and skill as a player to win.
