So... someone tell me about this Kaos Theory place. Is it legit? How many of "us" have been going there? I see quite a few have. It's expensive though isnt it?

I go regularly. Mellis goes, Phil goes, Beely + other Tekken players go, randoms go, Shawnsta1up goes, Klein/Tad/Papstr/Kain/Ponder/Naimat/Zeth/ChrisB/Patrick have all been. It's a very legit place, it just needs people to go regularly. They do theme nights and Friday is fighters. 10 bucks to play from 3pm to 3am with food drinks and alcohol all available for purchase. They're also open every day so we aren't limited to theme nights.

They also offer memberships that give free hours of play and discounts on food.

@NaimatPublicRadio: It's a good, thought-provoking program. I liked it and shared it with KO, who hasn't listened to it yet. I also recommend everyone to set aside the time to listen to the broadcast. Not hear; listen.

Dude, I have my PS3 unplugged, shoved in a closet downstairs somewhere. The last thing i've been thinking about today is fighting games. In fact, i'm so fucking chill right now, I don't even WANT to think about them. Tired of it all, I just want to....be at peace

Playing fighting games is the only way I can be at peace. Lol It's my one true passion, aside from writing.

Although, I do LOVE to lay in bed, with the lights dimmed, in a freezing cold room, covered up with my favorite blanket, watching Netflix and eating a cup of frozen grape/apple juice. <3 That's a good night for me.

Writing's really one of the only true things that still makes living bareable for me. I'm still diving into the world of Melty Blood and i'm finding that to be a hella lot of fun. Really the only thing that's even worth playing until CP and Under-Night come out.

Speaking of Gear, I CANNOT GET A GRASP ON THIS GAME. I normally never have a problem picking up a game and doing okay in it. Normally I don't get good enough to play it competitively (MvC3, SFIV, KoF13, TTT2, SCV to name a few), but I can AT LEAST play a decent neutral game and do my combos right. With Guilty Gear though, I just cannot get used to the odd movement and techniques needed. I can obviously feel it's anime air-dasher base, as BB and P4U share pretty much the same basic structure as GG does. The problem I'm having with GG is mainly that I don't know any of the characters in-depth. I don't know their frame data, proration, what the properties of their moves are, they're mixup and oki options, etc. so I can definitely say that this is my main problem. However, I still am not a fan of it's jump cancel system, I feel it's not as response as BB. I do LOVE the throw system in GG though. It's one of my favorites.

Another problem is probably that I'm trying to play I-No, who in general has an awkward playstyle. Though I am also playing Venom, who I have trouble with as well.

Hopefully in the coming months I'll get better at it. I'd love it if you guys would netplay with me, and tell me what I could work on. I obviously can't make it out to casuals much, so this is the only way I'd ever really get the experience that I need. =/

ALSO ALSO, Izayoi is coming out today in Japan, I can't wait for that. Nu and Mu turned out to be pretty fantastic. (Especially Nu, she's way more interesting than Lambda was) Now all I need is Kokonoe and Nine/Phantom to be announced so I can flip out and act like a crazy fanboy. (Because I love Kokonoe, and have wanted her to be playable since CT. And Nine/Phantom are just amazing. So I need them too)

Last thing: The new SG is pretty great. I've been playing it like crazy this past week. Sadly, no one is ever online, so I never get matchup experience. (Basically I'm mad free in that game) But training mode is awesome. I'd really wish you guys would play that game with me. Q_Q

However, I still am not a fan of it's jump cancel system, I feel it's not as response as BB.

The window to jump cancel is smaller in GG, you have to press the up input closer to when the move actually hits, and that's because it would be a lot harder to do jump install if the game buffered the jump cancel a lot earlier like in BB.

Once you get used to it, it won't feel less responsive.

Same with writing, it's like there's this unfathomable wall ahead of me that makes trying to put out any content worthless. And even then, I'd worry more about playing around with your own characters or characters you haven't tried as much to feel out what's natural for you, even if it's not what you plan on doing.. Also, I'll netplay you in Gear when I get it (tomorrow, tonight will be an all night download, if not downloading into the day too.), and I'll play you in SG if your combos aren't 20 seconds long.

That BBCP stream I watched last night had some Izayoi footage in it. I have to say, i'm so hyped for her now. She has Yuzuriha's Aia strikes and her teleports, not to mention she's got Morrigan's and I-No's fligt movements. She's everything I expected her to be and more. Well, think about it. Just because they're fictional doesn't mean everyone's going to be rational. People wouldn't make mistakes and there'd be like zero conflict of personalities or interests in shows if every character was a reasonable human being. Especially in anime.

Anyway, I can't stop getting hype for CP now. Izayoi looks boss, and I'm ready to finally hang up my Haku for Makoto. I feel like I've changed a lot in terms of my fighting ability since the last Blazblue, and with a new character I'm ready to show y'all some real nigga shit. Better be ready! I'm comin' for all of ya. Especially Jackie, now that I'll have a character with a decent astral.
