Bane Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 So as it turns out, my entire reason for disliking Guilty Gear was Sol (you could say the "Sol" reason). I tried a different character and immediately regret my decision not to bring my PS3 to college. Shout outs to everyone who came to fight night, and shout outs to Tret tree for getting me to try Jam. Fun combos, fun mechanics, the ability to combo off of most random hits, and no specials without a purpose. This character completes me. Get well soon, Jackie.

However, CP appears to be offering a completely new experience when it comes out so you'd only be playing Extend to learn the very minimum of sytem mechanics and what-not. Plus, getting a feel for a character you want to play is going to make the transition to CP that much smoother (unless you're playing someone completely new like Amane, Bullet, Azrael, Izayoi, etc...), then i'd recommend you wait. I see Tsubaki and Haku-men on your sig. so i'm assuming you'd want to still play them in CP. If that's the case, pick the game up. Our scene still has people who'll play it like Me, Naimat, Jackie, etc. We can throw legit casual or side-tournies or whatever people want to do.

I would suggest EX -- because we still dont really have a release date for Chrono and it might be awhile (although many believe itll be released in the summer) playing EX from now until then will help you to be one of the ppl who smashes others -- instead of getting smashed -- when the new game is out imo

I just did some looking around, and it seems like the cheapest you're gonna find it for is at Gamestop. $25 for a used copy, or $30 for a new one. According to the stock locator, it seems like pretty much every store in Nashville has one.
