Milln Posted June 20, 2011 Author Posted June 20, 2011 SO MUCH HYPE. Now it all makes sense. The being quiet for sound cues part, sides not mattering, etc. This is going to be the most intense thing on the tourney floor, I can feel it. Also, you can't get a copy of it or download because it isn't its own game that you can pick the title out in a list. It's a minigame. *salute*
Seiki Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 I wish you didn't say what it was until the tournament Milln because now some people are going to practice it and it takes away from the wow factor/hype also some of us are not fortunate enough to have a copy to practice with.

I can understand losing the wow, but dude, it's just react to !!. Teching a grab is harder
Milln Posted June 20, 2011 Author Posted June 20, 2011 (edited) Below are rebuttals to Naimat's attempt at anti-hype. It's reflexes to an exclamation points, a screen flash, and a slap sound. You can't practice a random-timed event and your reaction to it. You can, however, practice seeing Ragna 6B you and reacting to it by standing up. You can also react to a... green grab... which is much more beneficial to anyone's reaction time and is BlazBlue practice. I'm pretty sure no one is going to -actually- practice it when they realize it's not the main event. Entry fee is a fuggin' dollar. Why practice for that when practicing BlazBlue already relies on your reflexes? Those unfortunate to not have a copy can simply acquire a downloadable version from places that offer programmed images unrelated to gifs. Edit: Additional rebuttal- I figured that, by letting Dustloop (and only Dustloop since you guys are my regulars and I want to let you know early) know it might even attract people to the hype. The topic title hasn't changed and none of the other threads on any other forum know what game Mystery Game is. You're way too negative about approximately 8 players out of potentially upwards of 50 simply knowing what the game is when they were going to enter the tournament in the first place out of sheer fun. Jackie Chandler Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Veeeeeery sneaky Milln. Props on the game choice. I wish you didn't say what it was until the tournament Milln because now some people are going to practice it and it takes away from the wow factor/hype also some of us are not fortunate enough to have a copy to practice with. It's not really something you can practice for- it mostly comes down to reflexes. It's just... Wait until the visual/audio cue, and hit the button. Worst case scenario, you could just watch the video and tap your thumb down whenever you see/hear the exclamation points/sound, if you REALLY wanted to "practice" that badly.

This tournament is definitely going to be intense. I'll enjoy watching you all play this game. *Won't be taking part in this event*

The game randomizes the timing event in 2 player. Edit: Oh, I understand what you're saying, now. The quotes helped. Edited June 20, 2011 by Milln
Seiki Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 "base this is Naimat, trolling was a success returning back to headquarters" *flys away in roflcopter*
Astaroth136 Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 (edited) Samurai Kirby, eh? I played Kirby Superstar religiously as a child (and teenager). What an awesome choice for a mystery game. Props to Milln on this one. Edited June 20, 2011 by Astaroth136
Klein Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Hey guys, I'm pretty sure I found the next indie game to hype up for MTN http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CSlnZxvi37s&feature=feedlik some serious business right there.
LastStarSaviour Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Hey guys, I'm pretty sure I found the next indie game to hype up for MTN http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CSlnZxvi37s&feature=feedlik some serious business right there. Nah, it reminds me too much of CS1 Bang. This project fails.
Klein Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 I don't know what you're talking about, I loved CS1 Bang.
LastStarSaviour Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 (edited) I'll only say this, as to not draw the attention of a certain trolling roflcopter. Bang is a mentally-challenged version of what ninjas will soon be like in the near future. I shutter at the thought of idiots being trained to carry giant nails and being obnoxious. Kyle Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Anyone playing Vampire Savior? I'll be at it this weekend. Get at me.
Milln Posted June 21, 2011 Author Posted June 21, 2011 You guys are dumb. Yeah let's practice for every monthly EXCEPT the bigger one! I know full well Tennessee is not free, but you're going to give that impression if all we have is Astaroth tellin' people about the power of science and to not put it down, and myself freezing grape juice and lemonade in those ice cube trays for Popsicles later.
LastStarSaviour Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 Lol, been training everyday since last MTN. GET AT ME BRAH!!! But you did lose me with the lemonade stuff. Don't sweat it Milln, if we look free, we look free. No big deal. This is AMERICA, land of the free after all. Let Astaroth handle the big names for us, I'll be in the background firing off a few rounds with gun girl
Astaroth136 Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 Too bad it's not a fps tournament, or Chandler and Naimat would win hands down. lol I'm getting on now to practice 9-cube combos on fat characters, since my other one doesn't work on them. If someone wants some CS2 games though, I'll be learning about magnets and how they work.
Milln Posted June 22, 2011 Author Posted June 22, 2011 References to grape soda Jin and Banana Jin(aka lemonade Jin), Star And I don't have anything witty to say about Noel at the moment
Seiki Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 Yeah, I don't really care about winning the tournament I just want to knock the top players into losers so that they have to eat each other out and play some average player in grand finals only to lose to some random dps and distortions. Then be like yeah I did that and this game is ass.
