Sure you don't get to see her a lot in tournaments, but the satification of winning with a character that not many people understand is an awesome feeling, IMO. fighting game hipsters

Not a lot of people get her, so don't feel bad if you don't. I wouldn't really suggest trying, either. You probably wouldn't understand.

Mu's super duper omg complicated and people are just FAR TOO intimidated to pick her up and if they do they all end up dropping her. So you see I'm so special cause I play a rare character. I AM BETTER THAN ALL OF YOU. And I play Platinum too so that means I'm DOUBLE better. ... Character elitism kills puppies. Okay that game was fun, back to dem buffz.

Yggjrasil Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Hmmm, If I had to give my explanation on Plat it'd be this: Platinum is like....Gambling or rather, going to Las Vegas by yourself for the 1st time in your life after reaching the legal age limit of 21. You feel a need to conserve yourself, not go in full-hardy and end up losing. You start with familiar stuff, like Slots or Poker (simple BnBs, getting adjusted to her pokes) and then move on to more high roller activities such as Craps, roulette, and Blackjack. (Item Specific combos, TK Swallow Moon Mix-Up, Sugoi Install combos) The more you play, the better you get at them and plus it's always good to have little luck on your side too.

But still, It's not like >My< Excaliborg wont totally fuck you up or anything. Also, I'd compare Platinum to cooking an Omlette. You can nail the basics easily, You can add things to spice it up a little bit, but it only becomes truly great when you use ingredients that people wouldn't expect Plus, Bitch has a frying pan. At max range (and still connecting) with Carnage Scissors, Ragna has 21 frames of start up (if I'm reading the frame data correctly, it actually sounds kinda confusing). Sounds like you'll be able to block in time, but it's all distance dependent. The first hit is -30 on block, so yeah, good bait-and-punish idea.
