Yggjrasil Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 her command throw is the kind that's bad if you use it too much. it's best to keep it on the back burner, and only use it when your opponent has completely forgotten it exists, otherwise it's just too easy to see coming and avoid. I love doing Dream Sally and then using Dramatic Sammy to catch them in the bubble and picking up a good 5-6k combo off of it. This move is a secret, just like Hakumen's Zantetsu or Litchi's All Green.
Kujikawa Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Yay I figured out pan combos. Pretty much the old one but just a slight change with it. For the corner I mean. Gonna keep trying to push for something better. What is it? I use a stange one, I think.
A.X.I.S. Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 What is it? I use a stange one, I think. So far I have this: 5C>j.D>IAD>j.C>22C>5C>236B>6C>236C>j.C>22C>5D>dash 2C>22C>5C>air combo 1/6A>236B for oki 5k 5B>5C>j.D>5C>236B>6C>236C>j.C>22C>5D>dash 2C>22C>5C>air combo 1/6A>236B 4.5k J.D>5C>236B>6C>236C>j.C>22C>5D>dash 2C>22C>5C>air combo 1/6A>236B 4k I am still messing with other hit confirms. Bat and hammer seem about even in the corner to me. Could be wrong. Sadly I didn't check meter gain. My Plat is back because I have some pan combos now!

I'll be stealing them :3 Seem very similar to the old pan stuff, which is nice since I haven't done much with Extend Plat and I don't really know all her new stuffs. There is a bat combo in the combo thread that is used as a side changer on CH. It goes like 5D > 66 6A > 236B... I was wondering what changes the side? Is it a cross-under 6A or one of those mami cross-up things off 2C?

They're up too high and you hit them with the back of the Heart board (Mami Circular's), that which sends them flying on the opposite direction. You're right, similar to those 2C side swaps.

Yeah it is similar to the old pan stuff, it leads to around the same damage as bat but you are not wasting a DP to do it. You can even do this combo from midscreen and finish in the corner too. I actually love it since I can never do bat combos in a match, everyone bursts when I hit them with a decent confirm.
Yggjrasil Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 I've been using the combo that Yumekami does for F.Pan. j.D > IAD > j.C > 22C > 5C > Mami > 6C > 22C > 5D > 2C > 22C > 5A > 6A > Mami *place oki or CDT here* = 3688 damage and gains 38 heat and with CDT Finisher the damage goes up to 4596.
A.X.I.S. Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 GGJ was testing out my pan combo with a 5A starter which got 3.9k for 45 meter. I believe the 5C starter gives 51 meter. 5B starter gives 47 meter. etc etc. I'll have to dig through skype to find the exact numbers. BTW it won't work off a grab...well if it can I haven't had any success with it.
Kujikawa Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 I've been using the combo that Yumekami does for F.Pan. j.D > IAD > j.C > 22C > 5C > Mami > 6C > 22C > 5D > 2C > 22C > 5A > 6A > Mami *place oki or CDT here* = 3688 damage and gains 38 heat and with CDT Finisher the damage goes up to 4596. I'm pretty sure you can do more here? Not bad though, I think I prefer Axis' stuff since its similar to old crap. I honestly barely use bat to much in combos, ...6C > 22C > 5C > jD > 6A > 6C > j236C > jC > 6A > Mami *oki/CDT* is generally the only time I use it. People seem to play a lot more cautiously when I have it equiped, which is great.
Moy_X7 Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 (edited) Man, Platinum is turning out to be quite the combo fiend. She has 4 main combo branches: 1. Unarmed 2. Armed 3. Weapon Cycle 4. Miracle Jean It's probably going to take me another full month to get the combo thread done D: Now I'm just wondering just how many people are actually going to memorize all this shit Edited April 29, 2012 by Moy_X7
Kujikawa Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 Would anyone mind if I film my Platinum replay with a iPod Camera or digital camera for the critique thread? I don't have a capture card and it sucks lol.
Moy_X7 Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 As long as we can make out what's going on in the match, go for it. Just try and set it on a table or something, it's hard to make out what's happening if your hands are shaking lol.
Yggjrasil Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 It's funny, I know a bunch of combos with Plat, but most of the time in actual matches I go for resets and mix-up mostly.
Kujikawa Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 It's funny, I know a bunch of combos with Plat, but most of the time in actual matches I go for resets and mix-up mostly. Same here, I keep my combos simple for the less risk of dropping them. I always try to reset or mix-up off really prorated starters. @Moy Thanks, I will then.
Yggjrasil Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 Ever since Moy said that 214A catches both back rolls and jump-outs in the corner, I've had an easier time keeping people where I want them. Plat's corner game is so goddamn scary, It makes me smile when I'm the one doing the corner pressure and my opponent is sitting there like "OMGWTFWHYAMIGETTINGMYSHITPUSHEDINSOBADBYTHISLOLI". Oh yeah, I also love Dash 2A > cross-under > TK Swallow Moon shenanigans too.
Moy_X7 Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 Yup, 214A is a godsend. So you wish to roll out or jump out? Fine, that'll be 4.5K+ for you good sir.
Dai_Loli Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 Now I'm just wondering just how many people are actually going to memorize all this shit I print out the whole thread from time to time to grind the new stuff and maybe someday be able to consistently pull off MOST of the stuff in there ( mostly everything with 22C links pisses me off to no end ). Your efforts are not in vain :D
Moy_X7 Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 That's good to know but I'm not even halfway done lol
Chaoschao222 Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Man, Platinum is turning out to be quite the combo fiend. She has 4 main combo branches: 1. Unarmed 2. Armed 3. Weapon Cycle 4. Miracle Jean My Platinum has only one combo branch: Unlimited. It's a nice branch, tends to result in many explosions, and a plethora of color.
Urichinan Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 My Platinum has only one combo branch: Unlimited. It's a nice branch, tends to result in many explosions, and a plethora of color. Slide Head > Dash > Combo > Slide Head > Dash > Combo > Win Missile > Missile > Missile > Win Infinite Meter > Millions of Bombs > Freeze game > Get YLOD > ???
Moy_X7 Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 We in there with the Excaliborg (Hype Bat) combos. I accidentally found out that we can do MJ right after we land from an Air Throw lulz. Plat becomes a mini-CS1 Litchi with Ecaliborg equipped: good screen carriage, good damage, good oki, decent meter gain. 5D/j.D to 4K and instant corner carriage yo. I'll come up with more Frankensteins after... I WORK OUT.
Kujikawa Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 How good/bad is using Pogo during pressure? I guess I could use it when I'm in the corner to cross-up the opponent. Anyway, I guess you can do fake-crossups and stuff? 236A~A catch mashing? idk, I recently realised it still existed.
Yggjrasil Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 (edited) It's very optional. Like, it depends on how conditioned you have your opponent. They could just mash out of it, just like a lot of Platinum's gimmicks. You just need to save tricks like that for when they least expect it. I usually do Air Persia after Mystic Momo Missiles to cross them up and try for MvC-esque mix-up after. Edited May 3, 2012 by Yggjrasil
