SolxBaiken Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Well it's not that I hate Jann Lee, I just really wanted to see the other new face, and showing off Tina was a total middle finger to the face since she's been around (in PVs and demos) so it just irks me a bit, lol. Leon's cool people.

Leon's cool people. Yeah I don't get why they would show off Tina again either. I mean she had her own trailer for crying out loud. After seeing how awesome Rig turned out, I'm curious about the other newbie too.

Hecatom Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 man, how i loved the tag system of doa2 i remember that on the local arcade they had a doa2 tag machine, so we used to play a lot on the format of 2 vs 2, almost every tournament of doa has been on that format on my country >:3

SolxBaiken Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 Notes about Tag mode: - Developed with competition in mind. - They created ALOT more specific tag throws and team intros/outros - In order to do a Team Power Blow BOTH characters must be below 50% health - You must switch your characters before the 1st Power Blow lands, then the tagged in character will complete theirs in full - Team Power Blows do LESS damage than 2 separate Power Blows - Once a Power Blow is used you can't activate another the entire round Other interesting notes; they confirm that La Mariposa was in the Tag trailer but dance around the fact of her identity...(knowing full well fans of the series know who she is) also the male wrestler is "Mr. Strong" who again they say don't jump to conclusions about his identity... (legitimate comments are just fun teasing?)

SolxBaiken Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 More balance test footage, this time focusing on combo :D Interesting tidbits; - there are now 3 launch levels currently (vs the 2 in Alpha/E3 builds) - Critical Burst threshold altered (now requires fewer "big" moves, but alot more "fast" moves) - Strikes in general are a bit safer (unpunishable on guard or only allow for guaranteed normal throws---which are escapable) - Sidesteps are strong even with at a little disadvantage because they avoid jabs, elbows, knees, and low punches (not sure if this has been readjusted to accomidate tracking moves which were present in Alpha like Hitomi's 1+PK)

Although we need some of that sweet Tengu magic (but seriously I hate that Alpha-152 is coming back, such a shitty character, and no amount of balance is going to change my mind on that)

Like in 4, but still playable?) also no mention of the new female character at all...(and just over a month till release D: ) even though they clearly picture and name Eliot and Brad. Lisa is shown without the mention of her alter ego, and for some reason Alpha-152 isn't pictured either... Lol at Brad having no friends and the VF characters having no relation once so ever, despite competing for years, lol I really want them to do this right, to have DoA include great gameplay and a decent story is a guilty dream come true for me ; -;

It's a Gamestop exclusive, GS is REALLY good at getting the best pre-order deals about 9 times out of 10 (like they're the best retailer to get Tag 2 from) of which I just finished paying off both! :o
