I've been looking in the match-up forums I see a lot of "bait AAs" or something like that. What is it? Thanks!

Edit: I should of posted this in the terminology thread sorry, but I didn't see it defined there either.

first of all, don't make threads for simple questions like this. ask in an existing thread.

AA means anti-air, any move that can be used to hit someone out of trying to attack you from the air.

My Advice: Learn your character's Anti-Air Strategy. This requires patience and discipline. You need the patience in neutral to see what is going to happen, and the discipline to act ONLY in the appropriate manner.

Some characters will have multiple ways of doing it - you'll have to see what's most effective in certain situations. Do you cross under? Do you 2C? Do you 5B? You need to learn individual matchups to know for sure.

In general - play the game lots and you'll figure it out.

If you DO learn it - you will instantly see improvement. Players cannot approach you as easily, some will stay in neutral, some will begin turtling to try to do the same to you.

yeah for u it'd be like both noel's and tao's 6a to depend on, tho there're different situations that call for different moves (tao's 2d for AAing a higher approach, even jump>air grab).

as said b4, there are different ways of AAing, try different things if that would make sense to u, look in threads, check the frame data (just so u know, if a move is said to be head invulnerable, that means that u can't get hit from air moves [for the most part] as well as certain standing moves that only hit, well, ur head. :o
