Check if 236AD still breaks two primers, check if [3C] still have body and head Invu till the end of the move, test how long is the parry cooldown, see if 66214B/C still works, and off course till us about any change in proration and mobility you encounter.

Does 214C~D or 214C > j.CC cross them up when close range, is it possible when you do j.A > jump to get some ambiguous mix-up out of it. (Also, what are their options to counter/escape? Backdash, dash, anti-air (maybe she'll be too close for that?), etc.)

Does 5B CH still go into 2C or is it only 5C CH now?

Is 5D still really crappy on block or actually a somewhat decent poke (since 665B won't cover as much ground now)?

What's the knockdown after 214B~D like? Are we at least + after recovering? :V

Has parry changed so that we can follow-up without RC in any way? (I really doubt that, but might as well ask~)

Is the damage after RC at least decent? Can you still combo off an AA-parry with 5A?

If you can, check if j.2C (blocked) 5A (pseudo-fuzzy) is guaranteed or if there's too much landing recovery on j.2C now.

Then go play Ragna like everyone else.

I'll keep playing Makoto because I love her boobies speed and rushdown. Most of her normals are in tact, so you'll still get plenty of combos in, you just won't do stupid damage off of each of them. Even then, I'm sure better combos will be discovered and overall damage output will be better.

hello guys! first post here, but I've been lurking for quite some time

I've read the first page and seen some of the videos, and still I've a couple of questions about some of the changes... here they are:

in that last video posted (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yk_Nr6u8TAU&t=5m57s), just at the beginning of the 1st round, you can see the makoto player attemping to do 2A > 5B > 5CC > 6BC > 214A~C~B then trying to pickup with 6A

6A doesn't connect, and it doesn't really seem there's enough time to, but... was he trying to do 5A > 6A possibly into 2D? has anyone even tried that?

another question, I understand that Lighting Arrow can't be used in combo anymore, but I don't understand exactly why: is it because it doesn't bounce anymore, or just because Asteroid Vision new trajectory doesn't allow you to combo L.A. from 2C? what is written in the first page of this thread isn't really clear to me.

6A after stargazer wont work in this scenario, he must have inputed it by wrong. you can do lvl1 2D after stargazer if your starter was good for example: 5CC > 6BC > 214ACB > 2A 5C 2D(1) > 5B 6A > j.CB > j.D.

Try lvl1/2 Lightning Arrow in CS2, you can see the enemy is waking up once he touches the ground right? thats how a lvl3 Lightning Arrow looks like in CSEX. in CSEX Lightning Arrow can still ground bounce on Counter Hit.

no wait, I already figured 6A directly after Stargazer shouldn't work, but 5A should (since 2A does). so if you managed to connect 5A, you should be able to gatling it to 6A, then possibly to 2D. that is what I was thinking.

that is unless after stargazer you can connect 2A but not 5A because the opponent is almost on the ground, but this seems unlikely to me.

If 214C's trajectory was altered to have slightly less horizontal range then I could see LA still having a use as a kinda vague crossup. If not then I really don't know what the hell you're supposed to do with the thing.

I remember seeing it used in a match quite a while ago. If I recall correctly, the angle is even steeper now, but I'm not sure whether that was a dash 214C or a regular one.

Maybe if you delay doing the Drive as long as you possibly can and still get a level 3 then it may cross up. Kinda sucks that none of Makoto's air normals have a good hitbox behind them.

ugh i just realized even if you did it as cross up and successfully got a hit, you cannot combo of it unless it was a counter -_-... and even if it was a counter you wont be getting dat much damage unless they buffed the proration. j.2C have a good hitbox, but after the recovery and hitbox nerf it will be just an extra space on your disc now ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Maybe you could catch someone trying to mash out of Asteroid Vision mixup? God, the least they could do is make the damn thing an overhead.

They're doing what they did to Rachel all over again. Give them a few games and Makoto will be high-mid or low-top tier.

First impressions,

Every combo is more strict 2a 5b cc dempsey roll was difficult

Orb is eaten by ice swords

5d 2d seemed rather strict having a hard time hitting it

Every character is buffed with decent corner carry and better normals

Makoto seems like she sucks, you'll have to put in a lot of work to get decent with her

Positives

Asteriod vision seems good for mobility

There doesn't seem to be a reason to respect makoto because her reward is so low so her pressure and mix up seems a lot harder to do. You gotta mix up, its going to be like learning a whole new character, while most everyone is the same.

Parry whiffs lead to counter hit, one second down time on parry after use

J.2c if you try to 2a on block you'll get counter hit

Sorry forgot to ask you this, is j.A bounded by the (3 times only A rule) or not? so we can still stagger someone in air.

They're doing what they did to Rachel all over again. Give them a few games and Makoto will be high-mid or low-top tier.

But CS1 Rachel was fun and respected unlike Makoto.
