Should have meaty deadspiked.

You cannot go wrong with that.

I abused it when I started to play the game, then ppl started using late neutral tech and punish me using 5A during the recovery

So I started to throw it late, ppl forward rolled and pass me through during the startup frames and punish me from behind

So I stopped using it because I tought it was a scrubby option

Am I just missing the timing?

Did she 2B under 2A? If you were close you should have definitely hit her out of crawl.

Maybe I wasn't point block,I was streaming but there is no archive,I screamed so hard ahahahah

How to beat late neutral teching: Just delay Deadspike. That's what I do once people started doing that.

I tested this yesterday, 2A indeed hits Tao out of crawl. This shit is a godsend.

Well, Gramas, if they guess wrong and delay their forward roll into an undelayed Dead Spike, they'll take a ridiculous amount of damage, it's like 6k, so risk/reward is still in your favor. But I can understand not wanting to risk lose momentum in some match-ups (Lambda, Tao).

if you would like to have editting privileges then ask shtkn for that.

we could use more people to fine comb the wiki page

This is something I'd been wondering about for a while. It doesn't seem that simple, all they have to do is react to you doing DS then neutral tech, then you're at disadvantage. Correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I can tell there is no true way to deal with them timing their neutral tech if we're only talking about "meaty" DS (you could hit them for staying down with other moves of course).

Probably not, but, I haven't had too many issues with it. I like to just back up slightly when they're in the corner, then do it. If they tech correctly, I'm not exactly within normal punish range, and the situation is at neutral, with little risk being in my way.

It's not like I always do it either. If you always do it, of course they're gonna catch on.

It's not a perfect thing, but it works.

if you do it on EM tech (and time it properly) you can make sure you stay safe~

You mean doing the DS right when you see them tech?

The thing is, a meaty DS is silly for several reasons. If you want to wait to see your opponent neutral tech before hitting a DS input, that won't be meaty. The thing is that for a Meaty DS to occur, you have to anticipate that your opponent is going to tech, which is annoying, because these days, no one neutral techs as often against ragna anymore in the corner.

I guess meaty DSs come with knowing a player well, knowing when they are going to tech, so you can use DS accordingly. Other than that, a meaty DS is just a guess in most cases..which is what I found to be true when I play.

I'd suggest learning the players habits, then start using meaty DSs to stay safe on their wake up.

So I stopped using it because I tought it was a scrubby option

Maybe not. But you're spacing just seems way off, if the player is rolling past you and ends up either behind you, or behind your DS (in front of you).

i mean if you do it during an emergency tech situation! Say, crossunder 3C. You can just autopilot it (watch the height when the 3C hits though). Im pretty sure you can get the dead spike to just barely connect on immediate neutral tech, and whiff on delayed neutral tech (leaving you at disadvantage, but not punishable, aka start mashing dp). Though if you get dead spike to connect as late as possible the adv is /huge/.

theres a nice netplay OS you can do to mess with people who dont tech 3C immediately haha. 3C super jump into corner (whiff an air normal of your choice if you want to troll, i whiff airgrab for timing) come down with jC 662A~25C. jC catches forward roll/quickrise, whiffs on back roll for most characters but the 2A will hit them crouching at the end of the back roll. 2A input during jC hitstun does nothing so you can hitconfirm properly. If your opponent neutral techs, you get 2A crossunder mixup. If they dont tech and you time your jC well enough that it doesnt hit them not teching period you naked(!!!) 22C them. If they do tech and you already super jumped you can do like, super jump 66 DP RC for crossup, or just 66jC zzzzzzzzzzz

why it is a "netplay OS"?lol

Everything is a netplay OS.

"I lost because i dropped my OS"

OSception

no but really it works fine. Roll hitboxes are slightly larger so if you hit on like the last active frames of jC you are good. Probably gonna have trouble with rachel though, lol.

Its helpful for getting to people to tech 3C, i guess. Worst case scenario you /force/ neutral tech oki with crossunder mixup etc

Oh btw, the easiest and (maybe) best possible Meaty DS is off 2D > Deadspike.

If not blocked, can even be combo'ed into 6C.

Nice cmv, very creative.

And sure bro, I can help you with Vegas, but only because you accept Kaqn as the Great Father.
