(Like that kid character looks weird to me) are we looking at the same buff guy? head is definitely too small though, haha but yeah sometimes there chara art is wayyy better than the actual models same is true for most fighters though imo

If you don't like KoF you are 99% guaranteed not going to like this either.

(I play KoF of course) Well I said 98 specifically for a reason. The game feels exactly like 98, from the rolling to the hops all the way down to cr.BA. If you're familiar with XIII, it's going to feel way different. Basically I'm just saying this so you don't get your hopes up or anything. I love the game, just about everything about it, it has everything I could ever want in a KoF game. It's got good mobility, high damage, resets are great, Kim with boobs, even two button throws (a big one for a lot of KoF veterans, but I never liked 1 button throws). I know Dustloop for the most part doesn't really care about KoF so I'd hate for you to get excited only to play the game and realize you don't like it.

It's a free to play MMO style fighting game by Jade Studios, owned by Tencent QQ (the same company who owns Riot Games of LoL). While many characters are clones, it is a serious effort being put forth to make a solid game, and was even featured at huge gaming events in China (TGA) and demoed by top Chinese KoF players. Also, the moves may look similar, but they have different properties and the characters don't play the same as the characters they are derived from, so it's not like the game is a lazy 1:1 rip with no thought put into it. If you like KoF you'll probably like this game unless the clone designs really bother you that much. If you don't like KoF, I can almost guarantee you're going to hate this game.

It seems that it would be "Free" to play, though is not an indie game, think about it as one of those social games that the chinese and korean love to make, games that could be MMORPGS, Dance Games, Sex Games, etc , where they are free but you need a chinese/korean id to make an account and download it, and some stuff in the game are unlocked the more you play (in this case, the characters aparently) Edit Ninjaed
SolxBaiken Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 Oh I'm not worried about the whole clone/ripoff/copycat thing (the fighting game genre has been very inbreed from the start and KoF is full of proud copycats ' w') A FTP fighter sounds pretty cool and this game has lots of elements I think are pretty cool, too bad it doesn't look like I'll get a shot to play it .v. Also did they make a Vanessa clone yet!? Cause if they do, all of my (free) money!

I was hoping this game would go open beta on the 16th, but it looks like it's going to maintain the randomly generated beta key access, which is incredibly lame. If it wasn't for the beta key, I could get anyone in the game.
