I think ky is getting more ballanced from time to time! on reload he sucks I have to admit..! On slash he is to damn cool and good =D! I think he will get more ballanced in AC! whatever.. Ky rocks anyone on his way xD

A noble goal. we already have a top ky I'm hoping for a mid tier Ky with lots of awesome gimmicks (as opposed to lamer old ky gimmicks mind ye) Why is it that most Ky players are top-tier apologists? I don't recall every #R Eddie player saying "lol i hoep eddie is mid tier in slash b cuz hes 2 gud". Gimmicks are shitty. That's why they're called "gimmicks" not "tactics". #R Ky was all gimmicks because he lacked any reliable source of damage or mixup, and that's why he was mid-tier at best. With Slash Ky, you can count on having a solid gameplan and good yomi to get you wins. The brain-dead, "lol fireball" crap that everyone tears about only beats shitty players who couldn't defend their way out of a paper bag. I have no idea how AC Ky is going to play. I just hope he retains the ability to get solid damage off of effective mixups.

Long answer to top tier apologeticness: Chojin: to me, it's just his design. He's good at all levels of play, whereas only better-than-decent Eddies could win in reload. I think other characters' designs are just inherently superior and should be ranked higher; they require much more technical playstyles. Gimmicks are great because they shouldn't work but do, which is awesome, don't argue that. I'd rather have Ky with a silly bag of tricks and average damage output than one who's the best character in the game because he's just that solid and practical in most every situation. Short answer: sigh emo ky players

Most likely it stays like Slash although I have seen Sol do different things.... I guess they'll put a new Ik on him. Its kinda stupid to have 2 moves of the same animation, but who really does IK nowadays. I mean really right in a middle of a match. Except vs. A.B.A.

What levels of play matter in balance except high level? Yes, Ky has it easier against beginner/intermediate players, but that's the fault of those players, not Ky. As far as his design goes, I think you're taking a very superficial view. While other characters may require more difficult input, that only matters at first. Once that temporary obstacle is out of the way, it all boils down to you, not the character. The reason I like Slash Ky so much is that when you outwit your opponent, you can actually cause damage, whereas #R Ky could only get damage from 5D and 6H (and sometimes 2H), which generally happened because your opponent couldn't react quickly enough. If Arcsoft feels that Ky needs a tonedown, then that's fine. But I don't think he needs a very big nerf at all. Lowering S fireball level is a good idea as well as lessening stun dipper range. But changing S and 2H back to #R and giving CSE a huge nerf is just stupid.

In the same way, many new local GG players i saw, back in the days of XX, picked Sol solely because they heard how good his Dust Loop was. And many of them couldn't even do a proper set-up. People will still play Ky regardless, but there are a few who will play with tiers-wise characters. It was a good idea to put Ky top tier in Slash for those who just started playing from Slash. Now that they know how to play Ky somewhat, Arc dropped Ky's high standards. Its very ingenious if you ask me...I wonder if Arc knows. Also, I'm happy that they shortened SD. I believe that SD is a guarantee 2-hit now. Besides, using FRC on a mis hit SD is useful, but its kind of "lacky." It might be good to miss it on purpose for mixup purposes but that's it. I always expect a knockdown. I'm glad they did this. Try this: With this shortened SD, would you say that it would be guaranteed 2-hit? Will it be good for better mixups? Would you rather get a knockdown or mixup advantage?

It's good for actual usage as far as IKs go since it's fast. You can actually catch people off, say, a FD'ed Grand Viper, i think.

I dont doubt that it can be the best IK in the game but no one uses it! since no one uses the IK theres no use to be the best in the game! they could make it to be cool like it is in GG1! I think that the IK from GG1 is cooler than Rising Force!
