There were actually 8 people last night for the BBCP "tournament". 2/19/2014 - Ultra Arcade BBCP tournament (8 man bracket / double elimination) 1: SkyKing 2: gli3 (glirandly) 3: Bloodberry 4: Will 5: Ultra Kyle 5: Jerry 7: Carlos P New players as well as veterans were here. Feel free to come by. Promising start. The owner has informed us that we will be getting another BB setup with all DLC characters. This will replace Aquapazza for now. All the UMvC3 setups will be replaced with Guilty Gear +R. He is also willing to pay for additional DLC as long as we speak up and let him know what we need. Remember, all the setups are actually dedicated cabinets for consoles. In addition, the internet here runs on fios. So... basically we have a nice thing going now. It's up to the people to support and keep this alive. I will try to make it every Friday evening for casuals / weekly tournaments. See you all there

Next time they have a tournament I might just bring my laptop and work from there. Edit: You guys still do meetups on Mon/Sat @Mineshaft and Wednesday@Fast Eddies? Had no idea there was going to be a BB tournament either.

sirmoose Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 I didn't go on grand opening because I wanted to wait for the hype to die down some. I did check it out Tuesday but left before the tournament started. It was really cool place with some nice setups. It was mostly fighting games but I did see someone play an FPS game and a console with Lightning Returns.

SkyKing Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Numbers are decent for BBCP, at least for SA's standards. Got a good amount of people interested in the game, but wanted to hold out on getting their own until the NA release, so having the arcade is really going to help them in the meantime. Will be trying to make Fridays a thing for anime games, especially since they've said that they want to make Fridays tourney days. The way I see it, the more exposure the better.
