Here is some info:

Dreamonoid's

Weekly tournament's are run every Saturday night at 9:00 PM Central Time.

Tournaments are streamed on their channel and Challonge bracket's can be found the same day.

For the past 2 tournaments, we have run Guilty Gear Xrd with extra setups running BBCPEX, UNIEL, and sometimes P4U2.

 

RikRic Otaku Cafe @ Bushido Arcade

These tournaments are bi-weekly:

1. BlazBlue Chronophantasma Extend @ Sunday, August 16 (8/16)
2. Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- version 1.1 @ Sunday, August 23 (8/23)

• Format: Double-Elimination
• Entry: $5.00
• Venue: $5.00

 

Ultra Arcade

No current information on tournaments.

Thanks, I was getting ready to ask who plays @ Ultra Arcade for Xrd ffrequently. Do you know what time the Sunday tournaments start for the Cafe? Also if anyone is going to Ultra Arcade next weekend for Xrd, it'd be great if I could get some games in with people from the area to link up with players in the area & whatnot. I'm moving soon, so I probably won't get to play nearly as often, but I recommend Otaku's arcade for Blazblue, it's real fun to play in the tournaments!

People usually gathering @ Dreamonoid's on Saturdays & Sundays but since I'm an out of towner, some people have been adjusting to my availability slots. I play Xrd if you're curious to know. Rikir's (Otaku Cafe) has tournaments open on Sunday afternoons for BlazBlue & Guilty Gear If enough people show up but recently I don't think there have been enough. I think people should go there more to compete but there could be something conflicting with other people's schedules.

I've been really wanting to show up for some offline games, only been netplay up to now. I'll show up on Sunday at RicRic's if anyone else will, about 3 pm probably. Anyone else able to make it, be appreciated if we get some replies here so I don't go there just to watch other people play blazblu or somethin lol.

Well, don't have to be RicRic but if anyone's got some other suggestions I'm down for anywhere. I really wanna try and get some kind of consistent local scene goin, weekly if possible.

I can try to make it out to Otaku on Sundays since they're in the afternoon, but I sadly can't make it for Dreamonoids anymore now that they changed the anime night to sunday nights. Not until I'm on break from college anyway. I'd go more often for tournaments, but since those are finicky now too, my reasons to go out aren't looking too good. Are you in the 210 Anime Fighter group on facebook? Players organize there sometimes.

Nah I'm not but I'll get on that, thanks. I'll bring a setup and all. Is there actually a good turnout for Dreamonoids? I've tried showing up for casuals at RicRic and Ultra Arcade and never seen anyone so I'm tired of burning gas for no one to be there. 

 

I'll be at Ricric for sure though, Sunday afternoon is gonna be something I'll be able to go to consistently.

Dreamonoids had a good turnout when everybody decided to come out and play. I haven't been there since they switched to sunday, though. Can't speak for that. I take it you're a guilty gear player? I'm more of a Blazblue guy personally, but I wouldn't mind sitting down and playing you, I'm trying to learn Xrd

Very much so yea lol, it's the first fightgame I liked enough to put the time in and get good. I've played Blazblue enough to get a scrub-ass Noel so I wouldn't mind doing some matches of that too, I just don't have it on anything I could take so if you wanna play that some bring a disc with ya. I'll practice BB a little so I'm halfway competent by Sunday
