There's nothing really to the 66 6C link, just keep practising.

5C > 6C only works on CH or on crouching.

Here is a fun combo:

6B>623B>6B>214A>445C>2C>28j.D>j.662C>j.5C>5B>5C>3C>623D>632146C

(75% heat, 5,387 damage)

Low damage but looks cool when you do it.

Hey guys.

I just recently picked up Jin and I'm trying to get some of the basic midscreen combos down.

I'm still working on the 5A, 5B, 5C x Sekkajin, 66 5C, 2C jc.D ad j.D into stuff.

I'm having issues landing the jc.D, though I'm assuming I'm just going too slow. Or is there a trick to get the Sekkajin to keep them closer for the 66 5C?

Also when I do get the j.D, I'm not able to get the airdash after.

And on a semi-related note, I read that you can airdash after j.236A/B/C/D if you do the move high enough, but I can't get an airdash after for the life of me.

Nope, you have to dash after the Sekkajin launch and tag them with 5C, there's no alternate trick to it.

For one, make sure that you're doing a super jump cancel (down + up) j.D. It's going to take you a bit of trial and error to get the sj.D > Air Dash > j.2C to work. I can't describe it in words nor can I just show you a video as I'm sure you've seen it countless times, you just have to get your own personal "feel" to it through practice.

I don't really use the Ice Blade > Air Dash approach so I don't really know the exact height to be able to cancel the recovery of an Ice Blade with an air dash. I'll play around with that when I get the chance.

So basically just gotta get the timing down for when the Sekkajin launchs, and when Jin is able to move again.

Yeah I've quickly realized that anything other than 2,8 will get me a j.236D. Practice practice.

I'm probably just going to fast on inputting the airdash, honestly.

It's really not that important to me, I just wanted to do it because it was there lol.

In my experience, you have to be close to peak super jump height when executing j.236B to execute an AD j.2C > j.C > Sekkajin, if you are going for that. It can vary a bit from character to character. Whenever you fail an airdash, more often than not you'll have input the airdash too early, unless you are too close to the ground to perform it regardless. You have to be roughly at normal jump height after an attack to airdash cancel at all, and higher than that usually to use an attack after the airdash.

air ice sword>air dash>j.2c>j.c>sekka doesnt work bro never has

It does on CH. It's just very hard to position right and requires a slight delay of the j.C. You have to be fairly close to the opponent when you super jump and at near peak (forward) super jump height upon using j.236B to get the airdash j.2C to connect and allow the j.C > sekka to combo. Although, it very well might be character specific.

I thought the landing recovery on air ice sword was too long for Sekka to connect, unless you meant j.2C > j.D > land > 5B > Sekka.

The 8K was off of a fully held 623D(2nd hit only), 2 gold bursts, and 125% or 150% heat, and ending with a purple grab ender I think. And with the low health heat regain. I don't remember the exact combo but i think it was something like this:

623D(2)>Gold Burst x2>[3C>236D I think this was part of it.]>6C>623B>665C>6C>623C>5B(Both hits)>5C>6C>623C>5A>632146D>632146D>High Jump Purple Grab ender.

Not sure if it was the actual combo since I've been messing around with tons of different combos all afternoon.

The airdash after a j.236A/B/C/D was just a means of pressure/getting in, but I realized you just had to do a really late airdash so...

IDK, doesn't seem too useful honestly. Maybe for running away?

The Sekkajin combos and DP loops seem to be coming along nicely though.

Still working on the height and timing for the sj.D AD j.2C, j.C stuff.

This is such a nice change from Ragna lol. Jin's basic combos take actual practice.

Air Dashing after ice blades can be useful for baiting anti-airs, especially in the corner. You can get a combo out of them too, no CH needed.

Pressure into a jump, they go for an anti-air, they eat an ice blade in the face.

j.236x > air dash > j.2C > j.D > stuff combos into some good damage.

I whiff a j.A before the ice blades when I want to air dash afterwards, it helps with my timing.

Hey guys. So I'm working on my DP loops and I've got a question about the 5A follow up.

Instead of doing 5B > 5C > DP B > (Delayed) 6C > DC > 5C > 6C > DP C > 5A > 5C > 2C > DP C

What do you think of doing 5B > 5C > DP B > (Delayed) 6C > DC > 5C > 6C > DP C > 5A > 5C > 2C > j.C j.2C dj.C, dj.C j.236C/D (blocked)

It does about 200+ more damage, (probably) builds more heat, and forces the opponent to fall into your mixup.

I haven't been able to test if you can airdash out of it, but that puts them at risk of air unblockables like 2C.

What do you guys think?

I've done variations of that just when you get into a normal air combo using j.236D. If you slightly delay the j.236D after, say, a 5C j.c. j.2C j.D j.236D, you can do a 6C that catches air unblockables. For me it's kind of been mixed success, but typically when I'm really trying to win a match I don't really go for it. It's a little bit too 'cute,' but I mean you're right since it does force them to block assuming they don't have inferno divider lol. Hmmm, I haven't really tried it but you could use it to reset pressure while they're in the air and go for something interesting (i.e. 5A (blocked) j.AAA (delay) throw. Something like that. The whole j.236D thing does add variation to the asset of gimmicks he already has though, so yeah.

pretty sure they an air dash and punish your recovery if they block the ice swords lol

Have you tried it? lol

If I remember correctly, from the height you make them block the j.236C/D, you land and can move about a split second after they finish blocking.

^yeah i know bro

@other dude: dusted off my vita to test and the ice swords just whiff at the height youre trying to do it at lol
