Are you fine with playing anyone or do they have to be a certain skill level?

Anyone. I regard effort and willingness to improve as being way more important than actual skill level. Every player can strive to better themselves regardless of how good they are, and even if someone isn't the strongest player, I'll still get matches with them. I've even made some good friends (a few of whom post here) after playing a set, noticing that they had heart, and sharing advice with them to help them level up.

The deal breaker is if they DGAF about actually getting better. See: NejiMetriod, who I gave up on playing since he forever thinks counters are "cheap", ensuring that he'll never learn to deal with them correctly. His assumption that "Well if I can't deal with it, it's broken" serves as a self-imposed limitation; it's like, "Clearly they're unfair, so why bother trying to circumvent their strengths since that's impossible?" That attitude will get someone as far in FGs as swimming will in cement shoes.

I'm in the same boat Skeletal, except if they don't want to get better and just hit buttons, that's fine too. A lot of my friends are super casual and just play as a social thing, so I can't expect them to get SUPER SERIOUS about it or anything. It's people who do that + bitch and moan endlessly that grind my gears. For instance, there would be a player that complains when I destroy him, and says I should go easier on him. So I go easier on him, and he complains about that. :P

This is like the best way to get better, what. Half of my skills in Halo 2 came from trying to get around the sword when I first started playing, since it was so easy to kill people with it. It makes you a lean mean fighting machine.

Seems like you're still getting used to rags. Want me to use another character?

They're about the same imo... Just gotta recognize what's safe or not. Ragna whiffing 5D is like hazama's 5C. you'll get punished.

I guess that applies to every character =P

Is the "don't try anything" referring to me eating 720 because i thought i could beat it?

and i know they're not the same in terms of recovery. You were throwing out a lot of 5Ds, that i wondered if you knew how unsafe it was and compared to hazama's whiffing of 5C. punishment is inevitable.

Also ggs. I'm thinking of using platinum or lambda more.

The 5Ds were for Haku-men AD suicide tactics. You'll notice it worked like 95% of the time. Most of the others weren't intentional though.

If anyone wants to play a mediocre D mashing hake with less than optimal combos I'll be on as long as I got people to play
