Some kid from our school brought in his brother who is supposed to be "A God" in COD and SSFIV:AE and the prizes for each tournament was A Weekend Pass for ComicCon in Chicago. My boy got robbed in the COD tournament by this guy (Screen Looking...) but held that shit. After he loss, I found out that ComicCon happens on the weekend Persona is out so I wasn't gonna go so the plans changed to give the pass to him since he should have gotten the COD prize. I fought this guy and it was close, but I came out on top and he got salty. He got in my face and said: "You're supposed to be some tournament player, why didn't you wanna play by tournament rules?" I came back and said "This isn't the FGC, these are house rules, so I'm not changing the rules that were set." He gets loud and closer to me and says "Whatever, you suck." I reply, "Of course I do, I don't play this game!" He scoffs and says, you're a scab on the FGC you loser. I say "Well since you know so much about the FGC and you live in Chicago, you must go to every meet-up but I haven't seen your face at all. Can you tell me the 3 meet up spots are in Chicago and what time they start?" He stood there looking stupid. I say "Before you start talking shit about the FGC, maybe you should be involved in it before you open your mouth..." He then starts yelling to the point I can't understand and I cut him off asking "Why are you Salty? Didn't you win the other ComicCon pass and are you not a Student @ AI? If you ask me you were fortunate enough to even be allowed to walk off with that ticket." After that I gave my prize to my boy Lugo and said "Happy Birthday my nigga, enjoy ComicCon. This guy shuts up and leaves, then he and his brother were outside the room arguing about who get's the ticket he won... That was my afternoon, how was you guys? I mean, the guy was good, but he was just hella salty for no reason at all. I guess the fact that he heard that I haven't played SF since the release of AE:2012 bothered him. I seriously don't play that game but I might think about it. Sham-Wow FTW!

I put in the time off for that Saturday and the weekend of the 24th and it was approved. if they cancel, on the 11th, I may have to hold that, but if they cancel the weekend, I'm still going to Summer Jam. EDIT: Also, Persona isn't going to be at Ignite Lounge. ChiTownYosh isn't going to be there since Persona will be coming in on that day and he want's time with it on his own. I have another source of in come that's more than enough for me to life off of and travel. so it's not that big of a deal if I lose that job.

I definitely get mad when I lose to people who I know don't play the game, but I have never in my life shown my salt publicly lol

BlinKy Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 I can't say that I've been salty often, I just let out a "damn", or well that sucks" then walk away for a small break. The most salty I've been is calling rematch, but only if the match was close enough.
