Fistmaster049 Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 I should be available tomorrow too so why not? I'm fairly satisfied with my arakune attempt against fistingmaster since i'm usually free to ragna.
Darret_Wallace Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 yeah i thought that might not be great against him, otherwise it wouldn't have been as close.
YukiBlue Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Tomorrow is going to be a hardcore Lambda day since I've decided to prepare to play Nu again, Never clicked with Lambda's characters as much as I did with Nu, She's cooler in almost every respect.
Fistmaster049 Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Yo whos on for games tonight? yeah i thought that might not be great against him, otherwise it wouldn't have been as close. Ragna v Kune never usually ends well for the Ragna once he gets cursed, but I'd imagine thats how it is against most characters I'm just waiting for the day I see Kune mirror and everything goes bonkers :3
YukiBlue Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Nobody does will against Arakune with Curse. NOBODY ;_;
Fistmaster049 Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Nobody does will against Arakune with Curse. NOBODY ;_; even Lambda? surely she might be able to D her way out of it
YukiBlue Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 B Bug doesn't give a FUCK about your D's. Once your cursed it's a rain of fullscreen death, Man. You can jump and fly around but you have to come back to the ground eventually. And once you are in blockstun it's game over bro. GAME OVER. YOU WEREN'T THERE. YOU WEREN'T IN NAM'
Kujikawa Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Just mash DP. Yo whos on for games tonight? I'll play, I was gunna' sit in training mode anyway...
Mr OSD Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Yo sup guys, I'm new to the forums. I just got Blazblue today (great timing with GG coming out in a few days >_<) and I was wondering if I could add a few of you guys to help me get used to the game. I just played the tutorial so I have a basic understanding of what the game's about. Also I've played alot of SF4 so I do have basic knowledge of fighting games. So if someone needs a punching bag let me know. I'm Dutch and I have a good connection (40 Meg), so lag shouldn't be a problem.
Fistmaster049 Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 to be fair I don't I'll be on very long tonight, not feeling the best

If your on Xbox, add me!

Kujikawa Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 I have come tot the conclusion to the major reason I keep losing is cuz' I keep dropping combos, which is silly since I can easily get them in training mode. Taokaka combos are hard!
Mr OSD Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 My bad, forgot to add my name. I'm on xbox GT: XpeRt1ze. I'll send some FR's your way. I have to say, this game is overwhelming with all the mechanics. But the tutorial is excellent (take notes Capcom). Question: Would you recommend playing Hazama as a beginner, or should I just play Ragna untill I get a feel for the game?

I'd have to say Hazama as a beginner, give you more time to get used to playing the character you want to play rather than learning the game through another character and then trying to learn a character with a totally different playstyle, from personal experience its harder that way
Fistmaster049 Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 I have come tot the conclusion to the major reason I keep losing is cuz' I keep dropping combos, which is silly since I can easily get them in training mode. Taokaka combos are hard! I have heard Tao combos have very tight timing sometimes Personally I really do learn this matchup rather than mostly jumping about hoping for a counter hit lol ggs tonight Symm
Kujikawa Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Yeah! One thing I dislike about Tao is her 5B range, the amount of times I whiffed that in our matches lol. Still happy I won 1 though =)
Mr OSD Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Alright sounds good. I was wondering because Hazama feels kinda awkward. But I'll probably end up subbing Ragna anyway, he's really fun to play. BTW is there a Blazblue bible similar to Street Fighter's footsie guide? If not, what do you guys recommend I learn first (besides BnB's)?
Kujikawa Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 First off, there's this guide specifically aimed for people that came from the SF community and hwo to transition over to an"air-dasher" like Blazblue http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?8693-Guide-for-People-Coming-from-SF-to-New-School-Fighters-Part-1 I haven't read it myself so I'm not sure how good it is. The beginner mode sub-forum has pretty much everything will answer a lot of general questions and you'll find people new to the game like yourself here. If you can't find an answer, make a topic yourself and the community will help you out (Unless it's anything character specific). For Hazama himself, there is his sub-fourm which I highly recommend you poke around and ask any Hazama specific questions you may have http://www.dustloop.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?97-Hazama The beginner guide to him is great for getting started! http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?14605-Beginner-s-guide-to-being-a-snake!-Hazama-for-dummies-bring-your-balisongs-v1-8 The only thing you can really learn with training mode is the character your training (Learn B'n'Bs and get familiar with his drive and normals), as learning things like blocking and other general fundamentals are best done against real opponents and grow better from experience. Hope this helps!
Mr OSD Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 That looks great. Looks like I got some homework to do. Thanks
Kujikawa Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Yo Fist, you live in Aberdeen right? Did you hear about that guy who got stuck in a street bin for 3 hours?
Darret_Wallace Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 (edited) hey mr osd, you should just pl;ay ragna, everyone will love you for it, he'sjust so fun to fight against, and drop a request my way i'll be happy to fight you. As for Simontron, those were some really good matches, but i was really pleased with how i did in that last match, i think i'll go out on a limb and say my arakune isn't absolutely terrible. That Chewbaki overhead's retarded though, it looks like it hits low and looks like all of her other attacks, and i'm too dopey to react to that unblockable. I'll also hazard a guess you're not familiar with fighting the kune. Edited October 19, 2012 by Darret_Wallace
Fistmaster049 Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 (edited) Yo Fist, you live in Aberdeen right? Did you hear about that guy who got stuck in a street bin for 3 hours? I did and it was hilarious he said he was looking for his hat lol Edited October 19, 2012 by Fistmaster049
Adam0812 Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Wanted to play more darret but flat mates wants to watch walking dead, will play later though. Well I'm not too familiar but your kune is really good. Her overhead is tricky but slow, u can mash or grab out. Watch out for it meaty though as it fatals and I'll get some good meter gain and corner knockdown Ggs
