It has awful balance (Every High Level player uses top tiers. No variety) Vergil, Doom, Zero, Dante, Morrigan etc. It's horeshit and unfair. But god damn it's like crack Tbf, there's so many combinations and permutations, so many characters to begin with, 3 chars a team and then a choice of 3 assists for each character, it's no suprise there's abuse able stuff in the game. It's more a fault with the nature of the game itself rather than how the developers have made the characters
YukiBlue Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 That's the thing. There are hundreds of thousands of combinations. But Vergil, Zero, Dante and Doom have made everyone else irrelevant. Zero is the strongest point character in the game. From his best standing poke with NO meter he can kill the entire cast, Doom is the best all rounder in the game with his unbelievably brutal assists (Especially Hidden Missiles) and a Dive Kick that doubles as a ToD and then you have Vergil, who is almost broken with Sword Loops, Round trip glitch and the fact he is just...Well. Insanely hard to block. Then you have Zero May Cry (ZMC) The consensus best team in the game so far. Zero ToD's. Dante has an amazing assist to control space, and then you have XF3 Vergil at the end. MorriDoom (Morrigan w/ Hidden Missiles Assist) is pretty much "Killing" what Marvel used to be. You pretty much enter a cave bullet hell game where you spend 20 second trying to even touch Morrigan, and when you do, Hidden Missiles hit you and then Morrigan kill you or TAC's into Doom for 1m+ Meterless damage. The game is utter fucking garbage at a high level. The balance is just simply awful. The fact that a few characters are just SO much better than anyone else kills a lot of the creativity for me. So at Low-Level play I encourage people to just take their time and play a team they think works. I can spend literally hours "Researching" my new team and what assists will work where. Can I extend x combo with x assist etc. That's the Marvel I love. I just hope they patch some shit to make the game interesting to watch at a high level again.
