ConHuevosGuey Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 At a friends house tried to get a match, was stuck on "Matching" for ages. Infact it's still doing that as I type this. I remember CT you would find an opponent fast, wtf?
mr.mortified Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 are you talking about CS? we're all on CS:EX now
Haven Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Everyone moved on to Player matches since they are far more fun.
Her_Omen Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Is it bad that I quick glanced at the title and read it as : Does Anyone Play Naked? But yeah, I played Ranked and then I went up against five Wahgna's in a row and decided I had enough of it.
Zeron_X25 Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Why would I be talking about CS? Try custom search and see if there is anyone on.
Kurushii Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 The purpose of ranked is kind-of pointless in CSEX. In a real arcade your PSR earned seperated the bad from the good. When you played your PSR was displayed during matches and motivated you to get higher. In console sadly it is only displayed on the match point screen. Taking away all motivation for people to feel the need to grind it out on it. With the ability to pick your opponent in ranked on console anyone can cheat the system and get high on psr. We don't have the same number of active players as we did back in CT days. Majority of the community likes to stick with player rooms so that multiple people can get together and play. No one feels left out.

Majority of the community likes to stick with player rooms so that multiple people can get together and play. No one feels left out. We still have some players from the CT era that still play BlazBlue (I was there during that time myself, but I only played it for five months because people were slowly getting their copies of CS during the month of July). I guess they prefer player matches more because they like to play with their friends. I wonder who from the CT era has left BlazBlue and picked up something else altogether...
Kurushii Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Of course we still have players from that era but look at sales reports and how active online is since then. It has gone down greatly. I can name like half of the Florida community that used to play and dropped it for Mahvel or something else.
cookiehours Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Player matches are much better. There's too much mashing in ranked. I think I produced more salt in ranked than I did in player matches and I did promise to change so...no more salt.

cookiehours Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 You don't need that high blood pressure. :P Salt evaporated. :3
cookiehours Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Pouring water on salt does not make it evaporate. Shush. My salt is gone.
ConHuevosGuey Posted March 2, 2012 Author Posted March 2, 2012 Player matches seem just as bad, everytime I look for a lobby everything is at 0 for connection v_v.

mr.mortified Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 zeros zeros everywhere and playing the same people in ranked
Moy_X7 Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 I wonder who from the CT era has left BlazBlue and picked up something else altogether... A lot, hell some people might have just played CT for a while to try it out and we all know just how lulzy CT is. Remember, the first impression is sometimes the best (worst) impression.
Fugu Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 I play ranked, and it's sort of like playing in a lobby except nobody spectates anything. If you restrict by ping you will ultimately end up playing the same players over and over again anyway. I don't like that they re-implemented the ability to choose your opponent, though. I didn't miss that when they removed it in CS.
YukiBlue Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Having a 0 PSR is the ultimate bait. My most played is also Relius so people are expecting some fresh BB player so they get into the mindset that I'm free. "Oh, I'll just play my new main Ragna!" "Mu-12" All according to Keikaku.
Saltynapalm Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 It takes too long to find a player match and I get nervous when other people come to spectate and a bunch of other reasons. I stay mainly on ranked so I can play random people fast and just be done afterwards without worrying. I don't have any friends so most of the benefits of player matches are kind of pointless for me.
Verard Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 I prefer Player Matches over Ranked Matches, overall less mashing and better players, at least in my experience. Sadly whenever I search for a room to play in any one with decent connection is private only.
Remius Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 I never play ranked. Especially since the people who get the farthest on ranked are all shitty cheaters.
