I think 5: HellKnight, MisterBadguy, ShinSyn, Orona, GGJ. You forgot Sayuri, WozScreamer, DinDragmire and xkurosukix. there are 9 of us.

No matter who you are fighting they're going to call that mashing. Not 'reacting and hitting a button.' Theres a word for it. Kind of goes with what I was saying with, "Knowing when to and not to" The difference to me is that at least most DP's or whatever form they may take are at least "reversals". They have invul. or guard points or counters, and they at least can be used on reaction and at least SHOULD be used with some thought behind them. Cause if you guess wrong with a DP, you're going to get blown up HARD (in most cases). Whereas if you just mindlessly mash something like 2A, the only "risk" is that you're gonna get CH by moves that you probably were gonna get hit by anyway if you couldn't block their mix-up. Like I can't bait out 2A mash and blow them up with CH 6C to 6k-7k just by blocking (or making it whiff). My "punish" for CHing someone mashing 2A is probably just gonna be a normal crouching combo by comparison. So when I get hit by 2 or 3 2As in a row immediately like it was blatantly obvious they were just mashing, I get pretty annoyed in that split second. Hopefully you understand what I mean. But hey, I learned my lesson. Just give no fucks.

Because everytime I grab a noel out of fake ass drive pressure I get called a masher. Every time I mash 2a outta bangs overhead because they did 5a>5c I get called a masher. General. No one says, "good poke" they say "Good mash" if they know what they're talking about anyway. American players think mashing is so fraudulent they curse the thought when BB is mashing. You guys don't think JP players mash, too? :V You don't wanna mash go play GG. Though, no matter the term me and Moy said the same thing, to an extent. Although, as he said "Mashing like a retard" isn't always as retarded as people think. When you know someone is doing fake ass shit and about into go into some kind 50/50, why would I sit there and try to predict it when I know that if I just hit 5a I'll be okay. Valk is the perfect example of a situation like this. People don't know Wolf form is sooo mashable so they just sit there then take big damage off of whatever he wanted to do simply because they give way too much respect. All I'm saying is don't discredit all mashing, but I do also agree there is a point where people should just learn to block, cuz when you get a heavy duty masher who is jsut hitting buttons for the sake of it, it gets kind of annoying. Though, when you know this it's easy to deal with if you know what you're doing.

There should be a term for it, I'll just refer to it as Abare lol. You might be at a disadvantage but sometimes a well used 5A/Throw is better than eating stuff that you probably can't react to. You could always just try to jump out, it beats TK Swallow mix-up and command throw lol. I'll have to resort to anti-jump strings but I don't even know any yet. I'm still working on my basic pressure and mix-up. I just wish Plat's item equip animation was faster, 29 Frames just to get something that's essential to Plat's strategy blows. Sometimes I have to give up trying to punish whiffs or getting in after negative stuff just to get that item that's going to be more beneficial in the long run

What ever happen to returning to neutral guys. =P<- Lich's tournament face when the elevator music in his head is too loud. -Bang's backdash is terrible. -There are a lot of AUB moves that easily blow up jumping away practically without trying. -Just because you jump away, doesn't mean you're in a "positive" neutral state. Unless you play Lambda, Mu, Tager, Litchi, or whoever else has a good back dash, you more than likely aren't gonna get away with it unscathed or in any better positioning.

Maybe xdest but the music that mostly comes on in my head is something more closely related to some kind of alternative rock or just... something with too much shit going on. @-@

I haven't had much success with most character's backdashes outside of the Murakumo's and Taokaka(why?) for some strange reason. I guess Litchi's would work too but I never use her.

All I had to do was calm down myself and play at a slower pace and then you really just ran into my moves lol. Moy_X7 Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 I have the "lol fail bait" curse. Whenever I bait something, they use that to their advantage and when I'm not trying to bait it, I get hit by that shit. That's why I can't play zoners, my yomi and reads are pretty weak unless the opponent is being really predictable. Shin be doing that dashing wake-up DP/I-frame move. Which means that he just ran into my stuff trying to do that later on lol.
