xntrikcat Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 I suppose anything should punish it, but if you mistime it you just got yourself 720'd. I was looking for an ez and reliable way to do it. If I choose to meaty 5a, it whiffs when Tager backdashes, and if I mash 5a then it should catch Tager before landing, no? I've gotten inconsistent results. Maybe I'm not mashing hard enough lol. The thing is, if I try to wait I run the risk of quick rise + 5a mash... Man, I wish it wasn't such a headache to oki Tager.
Sophisticat Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 As I said before, you are improving VERY fast! He is! That's because he's got the entire MTL crew behind him to boost him up. Best NA Plat by end of 2013, you heard it here first! :bad:
916zking Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 I might be on in a bit Daisy, I'll send you a message if you're on when I go on.

But I sure can do backdash 360.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 Unlimited Nirvana, completely legit. You mean the Pokemon?

What I'm thinking is, why do you even want to risk getting in Tager's face, as opposed to doing something more safe like stein setups? Unless he has a huge life lead or something, HE should be the one chasing YOU down. also errol let's play
Errol Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 it appears our connections hate eachother i dmz'd my ps3. try inviting me?
BlackYakuzu94 Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 I swear to god Lambda will be the death of me
Mucky Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 Let me see what I can do... I guess I could try forwarding ports for the ps3
TD Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 Mucky has a point, there isn't much of a reason for mu to try and do oki on tager. The very rare instances where mu would have an excuse to oki, she kinda has to go out of her way looking for and punishing the backdash. It's almost always better to just run after a combo than to try and pressure him unless you're just bored with running. And winning. But to answer the question. 6c, delay sod, j.2c, slightly delayed 6b, and 236a beat the backdash. You have enough time after 5a to create an OS, possibly 5a 5b(w) j.2c- if he doesn't backdash 5b will connect, if he does 5b won't come out but j.2c will, FCing a 720 attempt (this is just improvised theory though, you're welcome to use it if it works.)
Mucky Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 OK I set my ps3 on a static ip and forwarded ports let's do this
xntrikcat Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 Thanks TD. I'll look into those. Yeah, ofc I know it's the safest to just run, but it seems some JP Mu players don't give a fuck and try for oki, which NEVER works out for me. I thought maybe there was some secret tech that stops JP Tagers from backdashing. Oh, and anyone up for games?
Mucky Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 Oh, and anyone up for games? DONG FORTRESS wants you
